The DT will pick their top three favourites and you could win a prize and join us as a Guest Designer. Quirky Crafts 2011: Challenge 7 - Twisted Easel and/or Mother's day gift

It's my (Diane's) turn to chose the theme, and it is my first time so I am a bit nervous...be gentle with me!

Challenge 7 is going to be....make either a Twisted Easel Card and/or a Mother's day gift. These are fun to make, they look tricky but are so simple really. Have some fun with it and try to use different shapes. If you haven't done one before there are lots of how too videos on YouTube giving lots of ideas and examples to spark your creative juices. Your card can be for any occasion at all. For those who want to something other than a card I would like to see you create a Mother's Day Gift. Mother's day here is the U.K. is 3rd April and this is the ideal time to make something special.

This week we have two sponsors:-
Our first sponsor is the fantastic Crafty Ribbons
There will be a prize of two gorgeous button towers (pictured above) for the winner of the Design Team Vote. Crafty Ribbons have some fantastic ribbons and gorgeous buttons to choose from on their site...and we all know you can't make cards without lovely ribbons and buttons, don't we?

Our second sponsor is The Stamping Boutique

The Stamping Boutique are offering a digi stamp prize for the winner of the public vote. So get working on your entry for a chance to win these great prizes to add to your stash.

Quirky Crafts 2011: Challenge 6 - Lyn's Sketch

The Next Quirky Challenge #6!
Hi everyone and welcome back for another Quirky Crafty's Challenge! Our 6th Challenge of the year is kindly being sponsored by the one and only...
Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps!!
This Challenge was set by me, Lyn (Spyder) so I've made it very easy for you this time, because I can't do difficult!! It's quite simply...
A Sketch!
And it couldn't be easier could it?! No fiddly or frilly bits, no list of things to add on, just nice and simple, so you can chose whether to add flowers, extra brads, embellishments, embossing, charms, glitter, ribbons etc, etc (or not to!)
Don't forget we love to see anything crafty; tags, a.t.c'.s, altered art, book marks, fat pages, inchies, scrap book pages, as well as cards. You can turn the sketch, flip it sideways or turn it upside down, any way you like, just so long as we can still see you've used the sketch.

The Winner of The Design Team Choice will win a $10 voucher from our sponsors Stitchy Bear Digital Stamps so you can choose something from the great range of images and papers, which you'll find in their store. We'd also love you to join us as a Guest Designer in one of our future challenges.
And the winner of the Public Voting we would also love to invite to join us as a Guess Designer as well. So, to give you some inspiration, here are some lovely examples by the Design Team and our latest Guest Designers, all using digi images from our sponsor.

First, our challenge #4 winner, Guest Designer Lovely Linda using the Single Tulip Digi with added embossing and distressing! I love that sentiment!

Then our second guest designer is Suzie who received an honourable mention in our Recycling Challenge. Suzie has used two of the Single Tulip digital stamps with some lovely added embossing and lace.

Diane has used the Bearded Iris digi on her lovely scalloped edged card.

and the Single Tulip for a second elegant card.

Cazzy used the Ole Grey Mare digi.

Lyn (me) has used Busy Bertha and added peel off's, ribbon, a flower and mock stitching.
and
Caro has used the Time For Tea digi as an element on her fabulous scrapbook page.
(I wonder what's really in that cup?!)
Now it's your turn!! Please pop over and visit us all. We love to hear from you! Now, let's see what you can do!
