'Anything But a Card using Autumn colours'
I can't wait to see what you all come up with as we have a great sponsor this week:
They are offering the lucky winner, as chosen by the design team, 5 digi stamps of their choice.
REMINDER - DESIGN TEAM CALL: Before I move onto the DT entries I just wanted to remind you that we are having a design team call at the moment (see here for details) so please do consider joining us full time or for a 2 month slot.
So without further ado, here are the guest designers and design team entries using stamps from Robyn's fetish for the ABC autumn colours challenge.
Guest Designers:
Lucy made a lovely door hanging using Nuts about Squirrels. I bet Amber was very happy to have this on her door.
Angela used Bearly a Pumpkin to alter her Crystal Light container (Crystal Light is a drink powder, I had to look it up)..
Close up of the side showing the trendy twine Angela used.
Nikki used Bearly a Pumpkin to make this great bag topper for some Halloween candy.
Here is the candy!
Daire - (better late than never - ha ha)
Using the gorgeous Prissy Poinsetta digital stamp as my inspiration I
created this 10"x7" mixed media painting. I wanted to give the poinsetta
an autumnal twist, rather than starting on my Christmas crafts so
early! I think my autumn nymph has been influenced a little too much by
the Halloween spirit... she's a bit spooky!
I've used Bearly a Pumpkin coloured with Promarkers and used a recycled bag, which I've cut down a little. It came to me with some make up in it and the shops brand name on the front...now it's filled with a...Trick or a Treat!?! Mud Pies or Chocolate Cookies!?! I've also used bought and freebie papers. The sentiment using 'bone letters' is a freebie font too. Links on my blog.
I love the deep reds of Autumn, and of course it all makes me think of Christmas. I chose the PrissyPoinesettia Digital Stamp to work with. As soon as I saw it I knew it would layer up well, which is something I like to do with Digital Stamps. Coloured with Promarkers and decoupaged I decided to use it to make a cutlery holder for my Christmas Table. I am pleased with how it turned out, but this is only one of 10 that I will have to make!...groan!
I used Beautiful Bow on my "It's nearly Christmas, lets make lists" binder. I used a tall Sara Binder I have had for ages, and covered it in stripey and script papers, and coloured the bow in Autumn brown shades of Promarkers. I typed the greeting then stamped over it with a Unity stamp, and cut it with the matching Spellbinders die. I added some ribbon from a Crafty Ribbons bag called Cookies and Cream. and I spritzed the bow, and then the whole binder with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in bronze.
Angled view showing the inside.
Inside I used some Sara Binder dividers, I have decorated the first one, and will decorate the rest. The great thing is my Filofax personal size pages fit perfectly to make my lists on. The tabs read "presents/gifts", cards, itinery, menu, shopping.
I couldn't resist scrapbooking these photos of my son playing in the sun last Autumn (I am somewhat behind with my scrapbooking!) and so used background paper from Best Creation Inc which was full of glitter on the leaves, then layered the two photos onto some speckled dark yellow card, then added leaf ribbon from Dovecraft, I also added some extra leaves punched out of copper card, and stamped some trees and leaves in the bottom right corner. For that extra cute touch I added the 'Nuts about Squirrels' stamp coloured in promarkers.
Please add a link to your blog post (not your blog) using the biggest blue froggy at the top of the collection, the other one (at the bottom) doesn't do anything that we can tell, and please comment after you have linked. Don't forget to mention Quirky and add a link back to here (please read the rules and if you realised you haven't followed the rules and won't be included in the top three, and you want your entry removed to try again - please email us using the link in the side bar).
