CNN Defends Honor Killings, Beheadings, and the Dehumanization of Muslims

CNN was quick to condemn Pamela Geller, Robert Spencer, and Geert Wilders following a jihadist attack on a Muhammad cartoon contest in Garland, Texas. When we take a closer look at CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota's vitriol, however, we find that the network is defending honor killings, beheadings, the oppression of religious minorities, etc. Camerota also dehumanizes Muslims by pushing them outside the realm of rational and moral discourse. The liberal media, it seems, has become exceedingly racist in their views.

Geert Wilders: "The Lights Are Going Out All Over Europe"

The trial of Dutch MP Geert Wilders resumed today. Here's Geert's speech:

The lights are going out all over Europe. All over the continent where our culture flourished and where man created freedom, prosperity and civilization. Everywhere the foundation of the West is under attack.

All over Europe the elites are acting as the protectors of an ideology that has been bent on destroying us [for fourteen centuries]. An ideology that has sprung from the desert and that can produce only deserts because it does not give people freedom. The Islamic Mozart, the Islamic Gerard Reve [a Dutch author], the Islamic Bill Gates; they do not exist because without freedom there is no creativity. The ideology of Islam is especially noted for killing and oppression and can only produce societies that are backward and impoverished. Surprisingly, the elites do not want to hear any criticism of this ideology.

My trial is not an isolated incident. Only fools believe it is. All over Europe multicultural elites are waging total war against their populations. Their goal is to continue the strategy of mass-immigration, which will ultimately result in an islamic Europe - a Europe without freedom: Eurabia.

The lights are going out all over Europe. Anyone who thinks or speaks individually is at risk. Freedom loving citizens who criticize islam, or even merely suggest that there is a relationship between islam and crime or honour killing, must suffer and are threatened or criminalized. Those who speak the truth are in danger.

The lights are going out all over Europe. Everywhere the Orwellian thought police are at work, on the lookout for thought crimes everywhere, casting the populace back within the confines where it is allowed to think.

This trial is not about me. It is about something much greater. Freedom of speech is not the property of those who happen to belong to the elites of a country. It is an inalienable right, the birthright of our people. For centuries battles have been fought for it, and now it is being sacrificed to please a totalitarian ideology.

Future generations will look back at this trial and wonder who was right. Who defended freedom and who wanted to get rid of it.

The lights are going out all over Europe. Our freedom is being restricted everywhere, so I repeat what I said here last year:

It is not only the privilege, but also the duty of free people - and hence also my duty as a member of the Dutch Parliament - to speak out against any ideology that threatens freedom. Hence it is a right and a duty to speak the truth about the evil ideology that is called islam. I hope that freedom of speech will emerge triumphant from this trial. I hope not only that I shall be acquitted, but especially that freedom of speech will continue to exist in the Netherlands and in Europe.

The lights are indeed going out all over Europe. With Christians being harassed and taken to court in Dearborn, Michigan, things are no picnic here in the U.S. either.

Dutch MP Geert Wilders Speaks in Israel

Geert Wilders believes in defending Western values, freedom of speech, etc. He rejects wife-beating, sex with nine-year-old girls, and killing apostates. Somehow, that makes him a racist bigot in today's world.

Great Britain Defends Free Speech and Admits Geert Wilders!

Things have been looking bloody awful in the U.K. over the past few years. It's as if Great Britain is rolling over and playing dead as Muslims attempt to convert the country to an Islamic Republic. But there's just been an amazing sign of life. Several months ago, leaders refused to allow Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders to so much as enter the country (after all, we can't have anyone speaking freely against Islam here in the West).

That decision has been overturned, however, and Wilders returned to Britain to proclaim that Islam is violent, intolerant, and a threat to free speech. Predictably, Muslims responded to Wilders's charges by calling for his death and demanding the implementation of Sharia. Doesn't anybody bother to tell Muslims that they're actually helping Wilders when they respond with threats? Wilders's skyrocketing popularity can only be a sign that people are catching on. The conversation over the past few years seems to have gone something like this:

WILDERS: Islam is violent and intolerant.
PUBLIC: Nonsense. Islam is peaceful and loving, just like Christianity. Our Muslim friends told us so.
MUSLIMS: Death to Wilders! Down with the West!
WILDERS: You see, I told you that Islam is violent and intolerant.
PUBLIC: Umm, we're not quite sure we agree with you yet.
MUSLIMS: Off with his head! Anyone who insults Muhammad must die according to Islam! Freedom go to hell!
WILDERS: When are people going to listen to me when I say that Islam is violent and intolerant.
PUBLIC: Hmmm. You may have a point.
MUSLIMS: How dare he say that Islam is violent! Let him face us so we can murder him in the streets like Theo Van Gogh!

MUSLIMS RESPOND (Hey! Didn't anyone tell these guys that Islam is a religion of peace, and that the death penalty is only supposed to be carried out in Muslim countries?)

BBC Discussion on the Banning of Geert Wilders

In this short video, Jay Smith, Keith Vaz, and Maajid Nawaz discuss the banning of Geert Wilders from the UK. The Muslim in this video (Nawaz) is awesome! At first, I thought he might be complaining about the banning just for show, but as the discussion proceeded, it becomes clear that he is genuinely upset with the UK government for shutting down free speech. As he sees it, the government shut down not only Geert Wilders's right to express his views, but also the right of Muslims to refute Wilders in public debate. My man!

(Notice also Keith Vaz's pathetic response: "If you want to debate, then go to Holland.")

Articles on the Geert Wilders Catastrophe

In an effort to show that Islam is not a religion of violence, some Muslims are calling for the death of Geert Wilders.

Yet, as we've seen in comments on this blog, some Muslims hold that Wilders should be allowed to come to the UK and debate the issues. Here are some articles on the UK catastrophe.

Dutch anti-Islam politician turned away from Britain
LONDON (Reuters) - Right-wing Dutch legislator Geert Wilders, who is being prosecuted at home for anti-Islam remarks, said he was barred from entering Britain on Thursday after he landed in defiance of a government ban. Read More.

The Arrest of Geert Wilders
Multiculti England will tolerate any intolerance, except the guy who points out the intolerance. We can't tolerate that. Read More.

An Open Letter to the Government of the UK
With this edict, the government of the UK has broken faith with its own glorious tradition of enshrining freedom of speech, and embarked on an authoritarian course of setting the boundaries of political debate. With this action, the government of the UK has also broken faith with its neighbors in the European Union by taking the unprecedented measure of barring entry to a democratically elected representative, and, in Mr. Wilders’ case, party leader from another EU member state. In so doing, the government of the UK has additionally given lie to the organizing EU principle of “open borders” among member states, demonstrating a capricious will to close its borders against ideas of which it disapproves. Intimidating critics of Islam
We lost more than a million jobs in the past few months, the headlines remind us. So last month's story about a Dutch court's ruling that Geert Wilders was "inciting hatred and discrimination" - and that "it is in the public interest to prosecute" him - understandably didn't make the American news. Geert Wilders Denied Entrance to the UK and Taken into Custody

Notice how the BBC tries to put all the blame on Geert Wilders (listen to the interview).

A Dutch MP who called the Koran a "fascist book" has been sent back to the Netherlands after attempting to defy a ban on entering the UK.

Freedom Party MP Geert Wilders had been invited to show his controversial film - which links the Islamic holy book to terrorism - in the UK's House of Lords.

But Mr Wilders, who faces trial in his own country for inciting hatred, has been denied entry by the Home Office. Read More.

Two things are worthy of note. First, it's ironic that the British government refuses to admit Wilders into the UK because they're worried about Muslims responding violently, since Wilders's entire point is that Islam causes Muslims to respond violently. It's as if Muslims are saying, "How dare you call us violent! We'll teach you a lesson by rioting!" It's as if the UK government is saying, "Of course Muslims respond violently, but we don't want people like Wilders pointing it out. We want to pave a smooth road for the Muslims to take over the UK."

Second, far from protecting Great Britain from violence, the actions of the British government will only encourage Muslims to respond with violence and riots when they don't like something. Muslims in the UK now know that their recent outbursts have intimidated the government, and that Parliament will bow to the Muslim will. What's going to happen the next time Muslims want something? Riots anyone?

Responses to the Prosecution (Persecution?) of Geert Wilders

Pat Condell Defends Wilders

Robert Spencer Defends Wilders

Pam Meister Defends Wilders

And, speaking against Mr. Wilders, we have these insightful comments from Sami Zaatari:

"hate or love it, Islam is here to stay, you can be as sick of it and the Muslims as much as you want, were here to stay folks, and just on a side note, the recent new mayor of rotterdam, the second most populated city in Holland is a Muslim, hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. :) :) :) :), thats just the icing on the cake."

Holland: Criticizing Islam Is Unacceptable

Nakdimon translated the following article. It explains why Geert Wilders, who produced the short film Fitna, is going to be prosecuted for "hate and discriminatory statements" because he criticized the Qur'an. As recent events have shown, in the West, it's perfectly acceptable for Muslims to call for genocide against Jews. Criticizing the Qur'an, however, is now criminal.

Novum, Wednesday 01.21.2009 –

Geert Wilders should be prosecuted for hate and discriminatory statements. This is what the Amsterdam court decided Wednesday. The DA decided earlier not to prosecute the PVV leader. The DA now has to do so.

According to the court, there are sufficient indications that Wilders is guilty of criminal offenses. The court has come to that verdict because of, among other things, the rhetoric of the public statements of Wilders and the way he presented his views. He did it in a way which the court finds one sided, strongly generalizing, radical, fierce and frequently repeated. Therefore it could be seen as bigotry.

In addition, the statements of Wilders are also offensive to Muslims, because they are affected in their religious dignity. Wilders did this by attacking one of the symbols of the Muslim faith, the Koran.

Wilders compared the Koran to the book "Mein Kampf" by Adolf Hitler. The court believes that certain offensive remarks are not under the criminal law, but should be resisted in the social and political debate. This is not the case for the comparison with 'Mein Kampf', says the court, because it is so offensive to Muslims that it is of importance to prosecute Wilders.

The court does not believe that the freedom of speech is at stake with the decision to prosecute Wilders. The European Convention on Human Rights protects the right emphatically, but according to the court, in the European context, these statements are unacceptable. Prosecution also doesn't affect Wilders in his freedom of speech, provided that the possible sentence is proportionate.

Finally, the court considers that prosecution of Wilders serves the Netherlands. The hate speech in the democratic rule of law "is so serious that there is a public interest to draw a clear line in the public debate".

In July, a special discrimination section of the DA decided not to prosecute the PVV-leader for a number of statements in the media and in his film 'Fitna', against which several charges were pressed. Some chargers, including the anti-racism organization "Nederland Bekent Kleur", were not pleased with that decision of the DA and objected [to the verdict of] the court to nonetheless prosecute him.

Justice has received dozens of charges against Wilders in the last years. Those were for statements in de Volkskrant, De Pers and in an Internet column. Different people and organizations thought that the PM conducted an incitement to hatred and discriminated. The charges were gathered in Amsterdam and viewed by the discrimination section of the OM. They advised not to prosecute.

When the trial starts against Wilders is not yet known.

I have to confess that I'm quite pleased that Wilders is being prosecuted. I think the trial will draw much attention to what's going on in Europe. READ MORE.

Geert Wilders's "Fitna"

As you can see in my previous post, Live Leak has removed the video due to death threats from Muslims (who are upset that Islam is being portrayed as violent and intolerant). Here's the same video on Google Video. I suspect it will be removed soon due to further death threats.

(Note: Those who view this film should keep in mind the difference between "Islam" and "Muslims." Muslims are people, and many Muslims despise the acts portrayed in this film. Islam is the religion taught by Muhammad. Muhammad's teachings are the source of many of the world's ills. However, we must not forget that the Muslims we encounter often do not live according to Muhammad's standards, but far above them.)

Geert Wilders's "Fitna" Film

This film is pretty intense. While watching it, keep in mind that many Muslims are not like the ones in the film. Muhammad's message was very inconsistent, which allows modern Muslims to "pick and choose" which verses to follow. Some will follow Muhammad's more peaceful, earlier revelations, from the time when he was a persecuted prophet in Mecca. But his later revelations are still a part of Islam, as this frightening video demonstrates.

Geert Wilders and His Islam Film

Geert Wilders, member of the Dutch Parliament, is currently making a film criticizing Islam. If it's accurate, it will be a great benefit to the world.
