Tandoori Bread Sandwich Recipe | Sandwich Recipes | Bread Recipes | Breakfast Ideas

Preparation Time: 5 mins  | Cooking Time: 2 mins

 

Ingredients:

Sandwich Bread – 4

Tandoori Sauce / Mayonnaise - 4 tsp

Cucumber – 1

Tomato – 1

Onion – 1

Carrot -1

Butter – 4 tsp

 

Procedure:

Peel the skin of the onion and slice it into thin circles.

Wash and cut the tomato into thin slices, then remove the seeds of the tomato.

Cut the cucumber into thin circles.

Peel the skin of the carrot and slice it into thin circles.

Apply 1 tsp of butter on one side of all the bread slices.

Apply 1 tsp of tandoori sauce / mayonnaise on the other side of the bread slices.

Arrange the chopped veggies over the thandoori sauce applied side of the slices.  Close tandoori sauce pasted sides of two slices together, such that the butter coated sides of the slices face outward.

Heat the tawa, toast the sandwich till they become golden in both sides.

Cut it into two triangles and serve with tomato sauce.

      Healthy and yummy Tandoori Veg Bread Sandwich is ready!

 

Tips:

1.       Add veggies as per your choice.

2.      Toasting is optional only.

3.       Applying butter is also optional.

Egg in a hole - Easy and Quick Breakfast Recipe



This is very simple and easy breakfast recipe. You can make this within 5 mins. Very interesting recipe too.

Ingredients:
Bread Slice
1
Egg
1
Pepper Powder
½ tsp
Salt
A pinch
Oil / Butter / Ghee
½ tsp

Procedure:
1. Cut the bread slice with round shape cookie cutter or bottle cap.
2 Leave equal space around the circle.
3. Heat the pan and spread the oil over the pan.
4. Place the bread slice with hole on the pan.
5. Break the egg and pour in a hole.
6. Season with salt and pepper.
7. Cook in a medium flame.
8. Turn over carefully and pour remaining ¼ tsp oil.
9. Cook them till the egg cook well.
10. Take it from the pan and serve.
11. Toast the bread circles and serve with jam or vegetables.
Yummy and easy egg in a hole is ready!.

Dog Face Shaped Cookies with Kadai (Without Oven, Eggless, No Maida)


I always look for interesting shapes to make cookies. I just liked this shape when I saw in it in a website and was tempted to try it immediately. This is ideal for Christmas baking.
For a change you bite the dog instead of the dogs biting you. Happy Baking.

Preparation Time: 15 mins  | Baking Time: 10 mins | Yields: 20 cookies

 Ingredients:
Wheat Flour
1 cup
Fat  ( Butter / Margarine / Dalda / Vanaspathi)
½ cup
Icing Sugar (Recipe HERE)
½ cup
Badam
As required
Choco Chips
As required
Vanilla Essence
1 tsp
For Baking without oven:

Table Salt
As required


Procedure:
1. In a bowl, add butter.  Beat the butter with electric beater or wire whisk till it becomes fluffy.
2. Then add icing sugar to the butter and mix them well.
3. Add Vanilla Essence, and then beat till it reaches fluffy consistency.
3. Now add the wheat flour to the butter mix and mix them well. Knead it into a soft and pliable dough. Leave it for 5 mins.
4. Meanwhile, Cut the Almonds into two halves vertically. Keep it aside.
5. Make gooseberry sized balls from the dough. Keep it aside.
Face:
6. Take one ball and make 1 inch diameter circle with ¼ inch thickness.
7.  Make circles from all the balls and keep it aside.
Ears:
8. Place the two almond halves (brown side up) at two sides of the circle and press them gently (refer the VIDEO).
9. Now slightly flatten the circle above the almonds
Eyes:
10. Place two choco chips (round part of the choco chip facing up) below the almonds.
Nose:
11. Place one ch0co chip (sharp part facing up) below and in between the already placed choco chips.
Ready to bake:
12. Dog face shaped cookies are now ready to bake.
13. Make all the balls  (from 7) into doggie face shape (from 8-11). Keep it aside.
Baking with Oven:
14. Take out the cookies using the flat spatula and keep it on the ungreased baking tray. Leave ½ inch space between the cookies.
15. Preheat the oven for 200 degree Celsius.
16. Bake the cookies for 10 mins at 180 degree Celsius.
Baking with Kadai / Pan:
17. Take out the cookies using the flat spatula and keep it on the ungreased baking tray. Leave ½ inch space between the cookies.
18. Add table salt in a thick kadai/pan and close the lid of the pan.  Heat the pan for 10 mins in medium flame. This is preheating step. Don’t use non stick pans.
19. Keep the tray on the salt and close the lid of the pan. Keep the flame at very low.  (please refer the video)
20. Allow to bake for 13 -15 mins.
After Baking:
21. Allow it to cool down completely in the tray itself.
22. Then take them out from the tray. Again cool them on wire rack.
23. Then store it in an airtight container for later use or serve it immediately.

Note:
1. Add enough salt, the baking tray should sit on the salt surface in the kadai.

Mixed Vegetable Bread Sandwich


Making healthy sandwiches is very important because kids like sandwiches and would ask us to prepare them. I keep trying different combinations. This one clicked very well that my family requests to make this again and again.  Also, they cannot guess which vegetables has been used.

Ingredients:
Sandwich Bread Slices
8
Finely Chopped Onion
½ cup
Grated Carrot
1 cup
Grated Potato (without skin)
1 cup
Finely Chopped Beans
¼ cup
Grated Baby Corn
1 cup
Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tbsp
Tomato
1
Salt
As required
Dry Powders:

1 tsp
1 tbsp
To Temper:

Oil
2 tsp
Cumin Seeds
1 tsp
To Garnish:

Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves (optional)
1 tbsp
For Sandwich:

Bread Slices
8
Butter or Mayonnaise
4 tsbp

Procedure:
1. Chop the tomatoes into small pieces. Then grind them into fine paste without water using the mixie.
2. Heat the oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and wait for popping.
3. Then add the chopped onion. Sauté till they become translucent.
4. Now add the ginger and garlic paste or grated ginger and garlic. Sauté them till the raw smell goes off.
5. Add the ground tomato paste (from 1) and fry till the raw smell of the tomato goes off.
6. Now add the chopped vegetables (carrot, beans, potato and baby corn) and mix them well.
7. Add little water and close the lid of the pan. Cook them for 2 mins.
8. Then add red chilli powder, coriander power and salt. Mix them well and cook them till they become tender. Add chopped coriander leaves (if used) and mix them well. Now mixed vegetable curry is ready.
9. Now heat the dosa tawa or sandwich tawa, place the bread slices and toast them on both sides.
10. Now apply butter or mayonnaise or butter on one side of the bread. Spread mixed veg curry (from 8) on another bread slice.
11. Now close them carefully and toast it for few more mins. Then cut it diagonally and serve.
    Yummy and tasty mixed vegetable sandwich is ready!

Note:
1. Vegetables are your choice.

2. Mayonnaise gives creamy and yummy taste than butter.

3 mins 3 ingredients Energy Balls




     This recipe procedure is very simple and fast grinding and mixing of the three ingredients - Peanut, Dates and Jaggery which can be done in 3 minutes. Mixing
of Peanuts and Dates makes it  very healthy and energetic. Peanut is a good low cost alternative for Badam. Kids do not have more than one or two dates at a time. This Energy Ladoo helps them have more.

Ingredients:
Roasted De-skinned Peanuts / Ground nuts
½ cup
Deseeded and Chopped Dates
¼ cup
Grated Jaggery
2 tbsp
Cardamom Pods (optional)
2

Procedure:
1. Add peanuts, cardamom pods and dates in a dry mixie jar. Ground them into a coarse powder.
2. Then add the grated jaggery and again powder them into a little bit coarse powder.
3. Immediately transfer the powder into a plate or bowl.
4. Make gooseberry size balls from the powder.

    Healthy and yummy Dates Peanut Laddu is ready!!!

Note:
1. Make laddu immediately after transferring the mixie it into a plate. If you delay, the mix will get dry.
