Zarah- October Afternoon

This layout is about how the apple sometimes is VERY happy to be falling pretty close to the tree...

My mother was a very special person, and the journaling says:

"If all I ever succeed in, in life, is to be a bit like you... Then I've reached my goal!"

SUPPLIES
White and black (and a TINY bit of brown) Bazzill

October Afternoon papers, from the gorgeous Cherry Hill collection
Alphas from Musterd Moon and Making Memories
Grungeboard by Tim Holtz/Ranger
Flowers & leaves from Prima The black blower that I stamped on the cream Prima, is by American Crafts, the Thanks-set
Apple chipboard from American Crafts. I've altered it slightly, adding a small rose leaf that I cut up and a stem of brown Bazzill
Wing ghostshapes made with white ink on regular overlays, and the stamps are from Heidi Swapp
Other, random stuff from my drawers:
Scrappy Floss by Karen Foster, no name buttons and pins, black brads, red staplers, lace, black raindrop and one KaiserCraft pearl.

HOW TO
The layout is basically just made with layers of the wonderful 8x8-papers from October Afternoon. With the squared one, I've cut it off beneath the apple-patterned paper and used the strip to make it seem longer than it really is.

All the edges are scraped with a pair of scissors, and then inked.

The dictionary print paper is torn on one edge, and scalloped on another. I've used a piece od scallop edges Bazzill to get that shape. I just traced, and then cut it out.

The tag is just a piece of white Bazzill that I've rounded the corners of, and stamped with a stamp from the Thanks-collection by American Crafts.

The arrow is simply a piece of a spinner from Cosmo Cricket. You can easily make your own by cutting one from Bazzill and mounting it on 3d-dots for height, adding a push-button to the center. (Or layer Bazzill to get faux chipboard.)

For the frame, I stamped a 3x3 Wedding Frame by American Crafts on a piece of overlay plastic, and cut it out.

I marked the text below with a green Memory Marker, that's also made by American Crafts.

The silver heart is just a raw piece of grungeboard with two layers of glue and "white" glitter by Making Memories.

Mireille- BasicGrey

My son was born on the 7th of April 2007 - 07/04/07 .. so because of that date my friends neatly pointed out after he was born that my child was a Boeing 747. I new I had to make an airplane layout for him one of these days.. now he is two and loves his airplanes so much.. that I thought this was the time.

I cut the patterned paper clouds using the wishblade and an airplane using oval shapes in wordart and printing that directly onto the metallic cardstock. the offwhite clouds are made using wordart and the little birds are clipart drawings.
the cockpit was made of hard plastic comin from a Heidi Swapp package.
Cut it by hand and outlined it with a silver marker and the inner line is black pen.

I traced all the hearts on the patterned paper
cut the hearts on 1/3 of the heart.. and matched the pages (the small part on the right page goes with the large part of the heart on the left page
I created borders with the fiscar border punch and filled the holes with dimensional pearls
I used bazzill stitch templates.. punched holes in the paper and traced it first with a black pen( galaxy marker) and then with a white sakura.
The hearts were traced with the Heidi Swapp Mirror's used as a template

Princess Castle
by Mireille Divjak

SUPPLIES
Album: Kaiser Craft - Fairy Castle
Cardstock: Chenille Cardstock- Doodlebug, bazzill
Patterned Paper: Imaginisce - Fairest of them all line * Be back by midnight *sweet Satin Ribbons *crowning Moment
Bling: Heidi Swapp and Imaginisce
Stickles: Ranger (fruit punch and Stardust)
Rubons: Dream come ture - Imaginisce / Narratives - Creative Imaginations
Glimmer mist - Tattered Angels
Stamps: Imaginisce - Fairest of them all ; catslife press
Pencils: Colorsoft Derwent
pen : american Craft
ink: Stazon
Flowers and brads: Imaginisce
chipboard figures: Imaginisce
Bind It All
Figure Scissors- fiskars

HOW TO
It's very important that you trace all that you need to trace on the backside of your patterned paper before you start adhering.
The scallop border for example is used on every page but is actually only completely visible on the second page of your album.
same goes for the towers on the last page of your album, you will need to trace those on the third place of your album.
I put the bare wood album pages in the bind it all to punch holes befóre adhering my paper to it.
then I cut out the paper and put the bottom parts in the bind it all to punch holes..
then I adhered the paper to the wooden pages.
If you adhere first and then try to punch holes it will be too thick to go through.

I traced the towers, the scalloped borders and the outlinings on the windows on the chenille cardstock. Then I used the patterned paper for the towers and the building.
I outlined everything with stickles. Added bling at the bottom line of the towers and the scalloped borders
I used white bazzill for journaling and sprayed it with glimmer mist.
I stamped on white bazzill and colored it with derwent colorsoft.
I outlined my pictures and journaling with an american crafts pen.
on the bottom of every page are Imaginisce rubons.
I used the flowers and chipboard for decoration. Decorate as you like.

Use sequins for the garland. I alternated between paint and paper when covering the number plates. The "ornaments" are dimensional glue dots covered with turqouise glitter.

HOW TO
Here is a clock from Kaiser Craft. I have changed a little bit from the original project because there were 3 big wood "flowers" which were supposed to be hung together. I just put the little flower in the middle of the big one.
First, use the flowers as a template to cut your front papers and adhere it. Decorate the little flower with die cut"feelings" and some buttons in all the petals. Decorate the big flower with a piece of the Crate Paper flowers. Cut some circles and add it in the petals then put a different number on each circle. Adhere the little flower in the middle of the big one with strong glue. Put on the hands of the clock last.

Mireille- TATTERED ANGELS

Today's mini album from Mireille combines a few different techniques using Glimmer Mist. Please read her how to to find out more!

Summer Memories
by Mireille Divjak

SUPPLIES
Album: Kaisercraft Scallop planner
Glimmer mist: Tattered Angels * Pink Bubblegum * Fully Purple
Flowers: Prima Marketing Inc.
Ribbon: Lace from stack
Glimmer Glass: Tattered Angels
Glimmer chips: Tattered Angels
Stickers: 7 gypsies & Adorn it, Carolee's creations
Dimensional Pearls: Ranger
Jewel Brads: Royal jewels Imaginisce
Bling Brads: Fairy Dust Brads - Imaginisce
Paper Lace: Creative Imaginations
Paper Frills: Doodlebug
Pen: American Crafts
Glossy Accents : Ranger

HOW TO
Spray the pink glimmer mist on the wood pages. Let dry. Use your stencils then spray the purple glimmer mist over the pages.
The chipboard pieces are sprayed with both pink and purple glimmermist. So are the paperfrills and the white paper flowers.
Then your craftsheet will be filled with glimmermist. I used it all by dragging my white ribbon through it. Now I have ribbon in matching colors.
For the glimmer glass I sprayed both pink and purple glimmer mist in a glass bowl. I used my heatgun to make the water disappear. Now you will be left with the glimmer pigment.
Mix it with glossy accents and paint it onto the backside of the glass.
I used it on my pages sometimes with the correct side up and sometimes just the backside.. just how I thought it looked better.
Decorate to your own liking.
