POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the development and maintenance of internet products for high-traffic, consumer-facing digital properties in the Kids & Family Digital group, with a focus on client-side development activities.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Client-side internet development
• Application development and integration of end-user digital products
• Responsible for analyzing assigned tasks, providing accurate work estimates, and managing own time to keep development on schedule
• Code and system documentation
• Partner with the business on product development and user interface design

SKILL REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: 
JOB SKILLS:

• Subject-matter expert in client-side internet technologies – page development, JSP, JavaScript and JavaScript-related technologies, AJAX and JSON, XML, XSL, XSLT, Flash, ActionScript, HTML, DHTML, DOM.  Recent experience with jQuery highly desirable.  Backend software development experience also very desirable, though not required.
• Strong overall technical skills
• Creative problem solving ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment and be adaptable to the demands of all levels and types of production duties
• Excellent communication skills
• Capable of understanding business objectives and able to translate business goals into technical design

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years experience in interactive web development
