Last night I did a spin class at our rec center. Good little sweat, and a nice end to the day - particularly with the workout in the AM. But, there was definitely that ego 17 year old in side of me looking at myself, sighing and saying "really?"
I'll do it again.
Did your vag hurt after seating on that bike for so long?
ReplyDeleteGood idea, I've been thinking the same thing, but so far only thinking. That's bad.
ReplyDeleteI also have to say after having stuck with my plan to run all winter and also do it outside, I'm beginning to see the logic behind the treadmill and indoor workouts. I was looking at your workout spreadsheet on Google Docs and there you are, day after day at 10-10-11-12 miles. It's hard enough to do that time-wise and even harder when you're fighting the weather. Then I again I also got better at dealing with it. We'll see.
Mtnrunner2 - Yeah, the mill ... a bit funny how I will get both how tough I am for doing a long run on it and then be called a wuss for getting on it on a day that is challenging from a weather perspective.
ReplyDeleteAs long as I have one, I am fine with using it. It is not the same as outdoor running but it does help me in being consistent with doing something. And, I think the number one key to endurance success is consistency above all else.
Now that I say that, I guess that is not completely true because there are things like age and genetics, but you get the idea.
You'd be catching a lot more hell for spin class if it weren't for Nick saying he's gonna wear pink shoes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, gotta to be thankful for the Brits. Speaking of which, how far behind those pink shoes will you be?
