My Craft Spot Challenge - Wedding

Good morning! It's time for a new challenge over at My Craft Spot, and the theme for this week - Wedding - was perfect timing for me! We had a wedding to go to on Saturday, so I needed a wedding card anyway! Here is what I put together:

I used Happily Ever After stamp set on my card:

My image is from Unity Stamps - I stamped it on a square cut from PTI Rustic White cardstock with my Lil' Inker's stitched square dies, then added the sentiment from My Craft Spot, as well as the hearts and license plate using some red MFT ink.

I used 3 different ribbons/twines from My Craft Spot! The sheer black ribbon that goes around the cardbase, with a layer of cranberry crinkle ribbon, finished off with some black jute twine. I added a little Studio Calico gem to the center to bling it up a bit.

Background paper is from My Mind's Eye, and I used some foam adhesive for the top layer so it would fit over the ribbon!

Thanks for stopping by today! Can't wait to see what you make for the challenge this week! Have a great day!

Father's Day Handprint Card

Good morning! Wanted to share today one of my super duper favorite cards from lately! A friend asked me last week if there was a way we could put together a Father's Day card using her 1 year old son's handprint. So...this is what came of it:

She said Daddy liked navy blue, so I found this paper from My Mind's Eye, and used my Lil' Inker's stitched square dies to trim it to size. We used some silver Martha Stewart paint to make his handprint (only took about 5 tries to get it perfect!) - then cut it out with a smaller of the same dies. Added the stamped sentiment from a MFT stamp set, a few enamel dots, and a couple strips of washi tape to finish it off!

Makes me inspired to make one for my husband...but my girls have bigger hands, so it might be a huge card if I try that!

Sweet Stash - Love across the miles

(Edited to add: I'm linking this up with the Moxie Fab World Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge!)

Hello again! One more for me today! I managed to make it a ways down my list of challenges today, and one of them ends tonight - so I am posting this now! Here is the card:
And here are the challenges! First up, the new challenge over at Sweet Stamp Shop - Use Your Stash:

And finally, I used this photo inspiration from the Inspired By challenge:

Before I get to the card, here is my stash that I pulled from! I have a lot (and I mean a LOT!) of 6x6 paper pads. I'm kind of addicted...and easily distracted by the newest and latest and greatest. I guess that's better than how I used to be - I would hoard the new stuff for the "perfect" project, and by the time I got around to using it, it wasn't new anymore! Now I use it as soon as it enters the door! But then the old can easily get a bit neglected:
I pulled out an older MME paper pad, trimmed and stamped the map and sentiment (using PTI ink) on my pattern paper.
Trimmed it down, attached it at an angle on my background pattern paper, then attached it with some Glitz Designs chevron washi tape (I got that idea from the pillow in the inspiration photo)
Added some enamel dots and some veneer hearts (again, the ladder in the picture inspired that).
That's it! Super simple and easy! I kind of like the fun textures on this one!

Celebrate BIG

Good morning! I realized yesterday that my nieces birthday is in a couple days! Oops! Guess her card will be a bit late, but better late than never, right? I had a new Phyllis Harris stamp in my stash that I had been itching to use, and it looked like it would make a perfect card for her:
I loved this weeks Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger, and was trying to figure out how to use it. I finally decided to use it for the colors on this card:

I colored the sweet image with my Copic markers, and inked the edges of the paper with distress ink.
Added a couple strips of My Mind's Eye pattern paper to the side, then attached the entire thing with foam adhesive to a card base made with Avery Elle Kraft cardstock (I'm kind of loving it lately!).
Stamped one of the free sentiments I got in my last order from Unity, inked the edges with distress ink, matted in pattern paper, and attached to the card at an angle. Finished off with some sequins - just cause I LOVE them!
Hope you are having a great weekend!

You Are.The.Best.

Hello! Playing along today with the challenge at A Blog Called Hero: All That Glitters! Here is what I made:
I used sequins for my sparkle! My newest obsession it seems!

That awesome doily? It is a Hero Arts stamp! I have actually had it for MONTHS and just now used it for the first time! Now...I think I'm in love with it! SOOOO fun! I stamped and heat embossed it with white embossing powder on some pattern paper from a My Mind's Eye 6x6 paper pad..
The center panel was trimmed from a sheet from the same paper pad, I wrapped some jute twine around, glued on some sequins, then attached the sentiment panel with foam adhesive. Super easy!
Thanks for stopping by again! Have a wonderful day!!!

A Day Without Chocolate...

Hello! Could this sentiment be any more fun?!?!?! This is my card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge - I must be getting better, because I had over 3 minutes left on my time! YAY!!!
Here is the gorgeous color combo we were given to work with:

I used some My Mind's Eye pattern paper from a 6x6 paper pad, sentiment from My Favorite Things, stamped with My Favorite Things ink, a few enamel dots, some jute twine, and an Avery Elle Kraft Cardstock cardbase.
Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day!!!

Life is good...

Good afternoon! I have a little card to share that I put together - just for fun!
It all happened when I saw this fun color combination on the My Mind's Eye Blog this morning! Beautiful, isn't it?!?!?!

I also had some new goodies from My Creative Time laying on my desk that I was itching to play with - so that helped a little too!
All my pattern papers came from the My Mind's Eye Collectible "Unforgettable" 6x6 paper pad, including that little sentiment piece - trimmed out of a piece of it.
I used My Creative Time's Dies from her newest release - "Capture" Frame, and "Stitched Restroom Peeps." The solid color for the restroom peeps was Bazzil Cardstock.
Added some gold sequins, some jute twine, and some wood veneer shapes to finish it off - and lots of foam adhesive between layers!
Sigh...LOVE this color combo! Thanks for stopping by today - and make sure and swing by tomorrow for our SPS National Scrapbooking Day celebration - lots of challenges and giveaways! Don't miss it!

Unity Color Challenge - Capturing Everything

Hello again! I am trying to keep up with posting some of the many cards that I have had piling up! So...here is one for the current Unity Stamps Challenge, as well as the Wonder of Watercolor Challenge in the Moxie Fab World:
I used the color inspiration:

For my watercolor effect, I smeared some Tim Holtz distress stain on some watercolor paper, then stamped the camera and sentiment over the top after it dried.
Added some sequins, and pattern papers from My Mind's Eye - all matted in black.
Finished off with a bit of jute twine!
Thanks for stopping by again! I'm hoping to get another card or two posted today - but we'll see what happens!

Horse Love

Hello again! Okay...I think this is officially the last one I will be posting today, but then again - who knows? This is for the Simon Says Stamp and Show Color Challenge:
I had been dying to ink up my brand new Unity Stamp Phyllis Harris stamps! LOVE this image - don't you?!?!? I colored it up with Copics, after stamping slightly over the edges on a rectangle cut with my Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangle Dies. I stamped the sentiment on there two, using MFT kraft colored ink.
Inked the edges with Antique Linen distress ink, added some jute twine and a PTI button, then matted it twice with some 6x6 My Mind's Eye papers.
Sigh...a girl and her horse - is there anything sweeter?

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger - Wake Up Call

Good morning! I got my brand new Unity Kit of the Month in the mail yesterday - and couldn't WAIT to ink it up! So I decided to play along with this week's Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger:
Here is the Trigger photo - I mostly went with the fun colors for my inspiration:
I used some Lil' Inker's Rectangle dies for each layer, and some My Mind's Eye 6x6 papers.
Ink is from My Favorite things, and a bit of tape in the corners.
Finished off with some enamel dots - if it wasn't for those, I actually would have had a one layer card! So close!
Thanks for dropping by! Have a wonderful weekend!

Unity FWF - Birthday Hoot

Good morning! I'm SOOO excited to FINALLY have a chance to play along with Unity Friends with Flair for the first time in a few weeks! I actually whipped this card up this morning in a couple spare minutes I happened to sneak in!
I used the March 2013 Kit of the Month for the cute owl and sentiment. I used some cute papers from my 6x6 My Mind's Eye "Everyday Flair" paper pad (available HERE at Shop Pumpkin Spice).
I cut the blue with my Lil' Inker's Stitched Rectangles Die, and stamped my owl and sentiment with MFT dye ink - LOVE the coverage on that stuff!
Tucked a doily in the background, added some jute twine, and finished off with a couple of my new favorite embellishment - sequins from Avery Elle!
Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you are having a great Friday - and have a wonderful weekend!!!
