A Wedding Card
Here is an Easel wedding card I created for a friend attending a special wedding this weekend. The Easel fold is one of my favorites as is evident by my Folds classes. The card itself is 6x6 so it's pretty big. I had a lot of fun doing this it was fun to sit down and create something not for a class. The stamps are by The Greeting Farm, Papers are Stampin Up and Bo Bunny Double Dots. The Flowers are from I Am Roses. Die Spelbinders. I also used Marvey Heart Punches, Stickles and a Clear Glaze Pen. Ribbon is from my stash.
Copic Colors for her Hair are: C3, C7, C9, B32
Skin Colors are: E000, E30, YR21, R20
Copic Colors for his Hair are: E21, E25, E27, E29
His skin tones are the same as the ones listed above their outfits are the Warm Greys from 00 to 9
So today I'm teaching in the morning and working all afternoon. Not sure what the kids and Dave are going to do? I do know we're grilling hamburgers for dinner one of our favorite meals. Hope everyone has a FABULOUS weekend and enjoys this amazing Fall Weather....
WOYWW #151
Here is my post for #151 of WOYWW. If you want to see tons of other Work desks from all over, hop over to Julia's blog and check out all of the inspiring work spaces.
As you can see I have a ton of stuff. This is most of my haul from the Garage Sale at the LSS where I work. Lots of stamps mostly Unity and The Greeting Farm, a Cool Punch, a couple Large Quickutz dies, a bag of doggy related items including 2 punches, and a large bag of UM rubber it was like a grab bag. Not shown are some binder storage sheets, 2 magazines and a couple of Quickutz dies I have already put away. I think I did ok I probably spent more than I made but that's ok we had fun doing the Garage Sale. Today is the last day of it everything left is 50% off. I'm off work for the day, I hope they do well and have very little to pack up tonight. I already have a stack of stuff ready to go for the next sale, there was a bunch I didn't get priced and over there.
Have a Happy Wednesday!
Cute Ian for Fall Copic Cards
For an upcoming class October 24th at Craft Fancy! I loved coloring Ian, The Greeting Farm stamps are my very favorite for Copics at the moment I collect them like they are never going to be available again. Here we will use the air compressor and the speckled airbrush technique. Fun Fun Fun! We've also used my favorite Hero Arts greeting set at the moment. Hope you can join us. Don't forget your markers.
Last sneaky peak
Last card for Copic Skin & Hair this summer. Love love surfing Ian he's a cutie. The I-Roc made the bubbles super cool.
So the Dr. put Abs on antibiotics for the next 2 weeks then we see him again to find out more. Now it's just a waiting game.
Dave is off to Manasas VA for the battle of Bull Run and we're having a party on Sunday for a bunch of little girls. Fun Fun Fun!
Phew Wednesday
Another sample for Thursdays Copic Skin & Hair class at CraftFancy.
Yesterday was home improvement day around here. The Handyman came and cleaned and sealed our deck, fixed my melted siding(I did it grilling), and painted all of our wood trim on the house. Everything is all freshened up a bit. Later we will put the furniture and flowers back on the deck we have to wait 24 hrs though so not until this afternoon.
Today I'm also finishing up notes and we've moved cards. Tonight is the Chicago land Craft Collective Meeting so that should be fun I think we're showing and telling. I'll put together my flip book of my copic class from Sunday so my Copic students can peruse it tomorrow.
Really I'm just excited about the Dr's apt to find out more on the lump that yesterday afternoon got lots smaller. You can still feel it but now you can't see it suddenly unless you look really close. Abbi says it only hurts now when she looks up and bends her head back so that is encouraging to me anyway.
Hope every ones week is going swell and your surviving the heat.
AAHHHHH Dr.'s Offices
Another installment for this Thursdays Copic Skin & Hair Class.
So yesterday was frustrating after finding out our Surgeons Appt wasn't going to work out Abbi's Dr had to call and work out some issues then I spent the rest of the day trying to get appt's with an office that knew what they were talking about. It's a crazy amount of time spent dealing with just trying to make appointments. Most of yesterday afternoon and all of this morning. Finally an ENT's office called and told me they had a cancellation for tomorrow so we can get her in then to figure out more of what is going on........
Anyway last night we had yummy enchiladas(I made this from leftover taco dinner) and went to a movie with Mihoko and Annie just us girls. We saw Monte Carlo which was very cute. Apparently the Dad's went to the Lucky Monk for beer and pretzels.
Today is repairman day. The siding I melted a couple of summers ago is gone and replaced the deck is cleaned and getting stained and all of our painted wood in the front is cleaned up and getting painted! Phew.
Anyway that is Tuesday how boring hope everyone is having a great day! Take Care.
Crazy Weekend - Crazy Monday
This is one of the Copic Skin & Hair cards we will be creating in class on Thursday. There are 3 more I will share as the week goes on. Super fun coloring reserve your spot today.
So this past weekend was speedy fast. I taught all day Saturday Flowersoft and Copic Christmas we had a great time and everyone made some beautiful cards. Sunday I took the Intermediate Copic Certification class. Phew that was a long one from 9am-8pm. I was a little concerned by the length but really time flew Debbie Olson and Lori Craig made it seem like we were only there for a couple of hours coloring and having fun. I met some wonderful ladies and we laughed and learned lots. It really was a day of coincidence.... I sat next to a very sweet lady from Crown Point...who remembers my mom from her banking days, had lunch with a a wonderful woman that works for Siemens in my current hometown (my husbands employer), was at the same table with the cutest lady that I happened to teach Copic Basics to and got her hooked, plus got to spend the day sitting next to and chatting with amazing and clever Suzanne McNeill . Who could ask for more? Really.....but boy was I tired last night.
We had planned to go to the pool today with our neighbors however it's a gloomy gus outside so I will work on my step outs for class this week and continue working on a custom order of We've Moved Cards along with some Wedding invite samples for a soon to be new bride.
Update on Abbi - the lump seems smaller however Dave and I think it may be just that we keep staring at it every single day. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. She is over all of the attention and I'm not sure she's telling us the truth when we ask if it hurts. We currently have an appointment with the surgeon for next week but they are trying to fit her in sooner... As long as we might get an appt. for her we're a bit in limbo. She did learn to ride a bike on Friday in total determination not to be outdone by her Sister that learned th day before while she was making the dr./hospital rounds. Now we are onto finding bikes for everyone since we can all now ride.
Ok that has to be all for now hope everyone has a FABULOUS Monday.
Copic Class This Saturday
A quick post with some of the cards that we will be making at Copic Class this weekend at Craft Fancy. We are working again on Hair and skin tones. We will be coloring 4 different hair colors and 4 different skin tones. There will be a handout to class attendees giving them step by step "how to" color each of these skin tones and hair colors.
Copic Skin Tone & Haircolor Chart Work
So if you've been in the store you've seen this chart that I've started for various skin tones and hair colors. I'm having a fun time creating my little girls and guys in various colors. This is what I have so far. I am going to do an entire class teaching coloring Greeting Farm Images this month. To that end I have been working out more colors of course, but how to go about teaching it? And I actually think I came up with a good idea. It's a work in progress.
OK now don't forget tomorrow is a Free M&T over at Craft Fancy and to celebrate there is tons of new product in the store like Pink Paisley, Eco Green Crafts(new sample pics coming soon) and Tim Holtz. Not to mention tons of new Memory Box(I feel a class coming on). Hope to see you there. Ooooh did I mention what a huge success our Garage Sale was? Everyone loved it and can't wait for it to return........
The weekend is coming up quick. Dave & I have a lunch date today. The girls are going to be stuck inside is seems most of the weekend which is good. Em needs to work on her book for publication and it has to be done Monday uggghhhhh. Anyway hope everyone has a great one!
Easter Wishes - Easter Anya
Happy Tuesday! Here for another Challenge I have created an Easter card featuring Easter Anya. For the Anyone For Anya challenge post this Sunday. We were asked to create an Easter Themed Card. I am working out skin and hair tones with my Greeting Farm stamps so this gave me some time to practice.
And the Recipe Challenge #43 from Crafty Cardmakers which asked us to make a Yellow Card, with Ribbon, Faux Stitching and Gems.
Phew it was all hard to keep track of I don't think I'll be doing all that combining again. It's like multi-tasking on Red Bull...... Especially since all I really ever do is make class samples. Maybe I'll be better at this in a month or so? Lets hope it's really fun if not frantic!

Spring Copic Cards this Saturday!
It's time for some light pastels and Springy Colors! Here are the cards I have created for this class. Using The Greeting Farm Stamps and Memory Box along with Graphic 45 papers.
Mystery Color Challenge Creation
This year I have vowed to make things for fun! The Greeting Farm...Farm Fresh Friday Challenge is just the way for me to get started. The Challenge was to use Turquoise and Black and one other color. I love coloring Stella she is one of my most recent favs. Here I just layered cardstock strips added some ribbon and twine and popped up some hearts with rhinestones randomly.
Today has been super quiet everyone is back to work or school. I have laundry and dishes all done so I got to play! I work tonight and we have the Chicagoland Craft Collective Meeting. We are learning ribbon embroidery....like I need a new hobby but the talented Tammy is going to share with us! See you all tomorrow. I have another challenge card to share. Exploring all my toys.
