Farm House

Another piece of the Blackbird Design Anniversaries of the Heart series finished: the Farm House. I have stitched the initials and year of birth of one of my great-grandmothers in it. She is the only one of my female ancestors who has lived in a farmhouse for many years, so this piece just had to get her name on it.

I do know I shouldn't start something new, but this one was irresistible. It's a mini quilt named Scrappy Sheep and it is designed by Bobbin. It is the first pattern of a series of four mini quilts with a scrappy theme. I have lots of these leftovers from a scrapquilt I made for DD some years ago. She loved the bright coloured fabrics, so we bought quite a couple of fat quarters and I have transformed them into a big quilt with a flanel backing. She still loves to curl up in it on cold evenings. If possible I am going to use the same pile of fabrics for all these mini quilts.

The gridlines are in centimeters. The patched squares, as you can see on the left of the pattern, are four centimeters finished size. I love to work with these tiny pieces!

I have finished four more log cabin blocks of the Tail Feathers quilt, which makes only eight left to do.

The dentist is going to make a Cerec crown on my broken tooth next Wednesday. Thank you for all the support in your comments.
Fairies..... it is very quiet in my Fairy Flower Garden at the moment, Nancy. But I love to see your pictures of it and the other Fairy Garden pictures posted in the Yahoo group.
