Tonic Craft Kit 2 with the Go Press and Foil Machine

Good evening and welcome to the blog.

Well I've had some fun playing with my new GoPress and Foil machine today and the Tonic Studios Craft Kit 2.
I wanted to try something a little different and I'm really pleased with how the foiling turned out.

Wafer thin dies can be foiled in the machine but the foil is only picked up on what would normally be the cut edges of the die, hence the finely outlined shapes on the finished piece.
It's another way to use the dies if you are lucky enough to own the GoPress.

Tonic products used:
Twisted Veranda layering dies
Craft Kit #2 - dies and stamped sentiment
 Nuvo Silver Moonlight embossing powder
Craft Perfect White Sparkling Star flowers
Craft Perfect card stock - Chrome Silver High Gloss; Frosted Silver Satin and Pink Chiffon satin.

I've used Silver holographic foil for the foiling.

The centres of the flowers have been coloured silver with a metallic marker pen.

A picture to show the layers.

Thank you so much for calling in today.
Hope you like my experiment. 😃

Tonic Craft Kit #2 - Christmas card

Hello and welcome to the blog today.
I have another project from the gorgeous Tonic Craft Kit #2 to share.

I combined the stamps and the dies to build this one using the beautiful card stock from the kit and had some fun with the Tim Holtz stamp platform at the same time.

I cut the ivory square to 5 1/2" and placed it on the platform using the magnets to hold it in position.
I placed the stamp where I wanted my image and inked with clear embossing ink.
I then removed the card stock and covered the image with Nuvo Classic Gold detail embossing powder and embossed it using my heat gun.
I replaced the card stock into the platform turning 90 degrees and repeated the process.
I did this for all four corners to create the background to my card.
I die cut the layers using the High Gloss Harvest Gold card and the Chilli red.
The holly leaves were cut from Craft Perfect Speciality Emerald Hessian card stock.
Using the Harvest Gold and the Majestic gold I made two layers for the back ground piece and matted and layered them onto a 6 x 6" card base.
I added a little sentiment panel using the smaller of the plain dies and one of the greeting stamps from the set.

The card was finished off with some Red Berry Crystal drops and a red bow from my stash.

Golden Tip
I only used one piece of gold mirror card stock for this card.
The largest layer was at the back was 5 7/8" square.
I die cut the largest plain die from the set from this piece. Matted and layered the plain card stock on top.
The next plain die was cut from the centre of the large die cut, matted and layered and so on until I had all the layers I needed.
It's one way to save on your precious stash and cut down the overall weight of the card.
Plus it feels really good to be so frugal. LOL 😉

I hope you are having as much fun as I have had with this kit.

Thank you for calling in today.
Have a good one!

Tonic's Craft Kit #2

Hi and welcome to the blog today.

I have had a wee play with the lovely Tonic Craft Kit #2 and just had to use the luxurious card stock that came in the kit to decorate my Kaleidoscope box.

I've used the dies that come with the kit to decorate the top of the box and finished off with  a couple of the gorgeous poinsettias and sentiment stamp that are all included for you to play with.

I constructed the box using Craft Perfect Kraft card stock which is a lovely weight for the box and behaves so well when folded.

I love the texture on the Golden Satin Speciality card that gives it such an opulent feel.
The little holly leaves are cut from the die set and I've used some of the Emerald Hessian Speciality card stock that came with Craft Kit #1.
The sentiment has been heat embossed with Nuvo Classic Gold detail powder.

If you managed to get your kit I really hope you are enjoying making lots of variations with it.

Thank you for calling by today.
