Check Out My Tek (Acetate Appreciation)
I was pretty excited when my order from COMC.com arrived, it had been a long time since I got my stash shipping and it included all my mailbox service cards, including all my Topps Tek. I was excited to post them until I saw how crappy my scanner makes them look, but I felt the need to show them off anyway. The one that did show up was the "Disco-fractor" auto of Carlos Gonzalez, numbered to 50 and on card.

Why I am Still Watching My Team Being Terrible
It been a tough year to be a Rockies fan. After losing 7 straight, and going 6-25 over their last 31 games Colorado is a league worst 40-100 (tied with Texas). Injuries have played a part including using 13 different starting pitchers, and losing Carlos Gonzalez, Nolan Arenado, Micheal Cuddyer and now Troy Tulowitzki to stints on the DL. The bullpen is on pace to be historically bad, and things don't look like they will be getting better. Time to look for silver lining, and I came up with six reasons to turn the game on a sit through the mess that is the Rockies 2014 season.

Eddie Butler Bowman Black Collection Auto
Another addition in the quest for the Rockies Bowman Black Collection team set, this one comes from the Bowman Inception line and just like the rest this is on-card and numbered to 25. Eddie Butler along with Jon Gray are the Rockies top pitching prospects, Butler started this year in Double-A Tulsa, so his MLB debut might only be a few months away. He entered 2014 as the 26th ranked prospect in baseball according to Baseball Prospectus.

Check Out My Rockies (Oct 2013)
After a recent COMC package arrived, I thought a few cards deserved to be highlighted here. First off this Will Swanner Bowman Black Collection from ebay via the COMC Mailbox service. Just a beautiful card on thick stock, numbered to 25, featuring a Rockies catcher. I may have overpaid for this, but for such a nice looking card, it doesn't hurt that much.
