I passed on buying a couple boxes of Panini Revolution and instead just bough the two autographs I really wanted, along with the Bogdanovic I found for cheap as a pending redemption. It's so nice to see Jason Williams on-card autos with the Kings in modern products and having one in Revolution, my favorite NBA product is about as good as it gets.

Trading Old for New
In return for some not so great condition wise vintage I had laying around, I checked off some more recent stuff, including most of the Series 2 base I was looking for. The two new Rockies in Bryan Shaw and Wade Davis, along with Jonathan Lucroy (who is ridiculously with the Rockies in this set) and fellow catcher Tony Wolters. I would rather have catcher gear photo photos, but I do like shots with the Coors scorebox in the background.

Check Out My Rockies (Summer 2018)
You knew it was coming after the NBA post, my COMC Rockies package with a mix of the mailbox service cards, Spring cleaning sale, a random stuff I have bought over the last few months. Starting off with 3 different (I assure you they are different) Jonathan Lucroy cards from 2018 Heritage. We have the 100th Anniversary, the Flip Stock and the Red Back. I just need the Black border and the base for the rainbow. Despite playing in 46 games with the Rockies in 2017, this as a photoshop from his Rangers days. The beard is a dead giveaway. Also Despite being in Oakland all year, Lucroy is listed on the Series 2 checklist with the Rockies.

A Fool and His Money (will buy Topps Now Cards)
Something about Topps Now does not sit well with me. I love what I call "Moment in time" card, and these are exactly that. 1997 Upper Deck did a great job of this with little notes as to what game to picture is from. But something about Topps Now seems greasy, like Topps is has a license to print money (and fully capitalize on the Aaron Judge phenomenon) and is taking advantage of collectors. Case in point, this was a 5 card set for $20 or 4 bucks a card. This set was limited to 78 copies, so it is low numbered, but 4 bucks a card is more than I like to spend, but spend I did. (I also bought the postseason set so I am a total hypocrite). One of the big reasons was the The Rockies don't mess with their jerseys, and these focus on a pretty big change, even if its for one weekend (and they do look like pajamas)
