Graduation Card

Hello Everybody!

This evening I have made a graduation card for a sweet friend of mine.  I don't make many of these so it was a little challenging until I saw the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Once I picked out the paper it came together.  It would be nice if all projects came together this easily! :)

The printed paper is from Authentique (Blissful) and the black cardstock was floating around.  The sketch is at the bottom of this post.  The first square on the sketch is the feather on my card.  The feather is from Carta Bella.  When I saw it I new it would go perfect with this line.  The sentiment is Stampin Up and the graduation cap is a stamp from Fun Stamps/Stampendous.  I also added a yellow wallflower from Queen and Co.

I would like to submit this card to the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...Have a happy day! :)

First Place Card

Hello Everybody!

I wanted to share a card with you that I made for Mom's Day.  I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches for this week's sketch-Challenge #85 (though it ends today so you may want to go check it out now!)

Here's my card.  I liked this sketch because it looks like a ribbon that you would win in a race or science fair.  Thanks for the great sketch because it inspired this card.  I cut the pennants out myself.  The circle was a punch and the scalloped circle was from Spellbinders.  The glittery ribbon was some ribbon I bought at Michael's after they slashed prices to get rid of Christmas stuff-so that's Christmas ribbon!  :)  Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a great day! :)

Mummy Halloween Card

Hello Everybody!

Hope y'all had a good weekend.  I did. :)  I helped move a friend into her apartment-but no heavy lifting-just emptying boxes and putting stuff away.

This evening a made a card for the following challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches-using this sketch:

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog: Embossing-heat and/or dry-the mummy is heat embossed, background is dry embossed.

Here's my card.  I wanted to make a birthday card for my sister, but my creativity was screaming Halloween!  Ok maybe not screaming but talking very loudly! ;)

Here's a closeup of the mummy that is embossed with White Embossing powder (Snow by Recollections).  The mummy is from the Michael's $1 bin-Score!  And the pattern paper is from My Mind's Eye.  The black cardstock is embossed with a Tim Holtz texture fade.

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends-have a great week! :)

Sweet Umbrella Card

Hello Everybody!

I made this card this evening and I think it's sweet-so I hope you do to! :)

I had umbrellas on my mind from the challenge at Inspired By #18.  Here the inspiration picture:

And as I write this there are about 12 hours left to play at this weeks Freshly Made Sketch #29.  Their sketch help me get my card finished-umbrella included! :)

Here is my card.  The umbrella is from a piece of scrapbook paper by 3 Bugs in a Rug.  Then there is paper from Authentique (grey background), Echo Park (pink writing) and the hearts are from 3 Bugs also.  the blue is scrap and I don't know where it's from.  The letters are Making Memories.

Here is a closeup of the bird on the umbrella.  I embossed the pink cardstock.

Until next time my friends...stay dry :)

A Quilled Easter

Hello Everybody!

Freshly Made Sketches had a great and challenging sketch this week:

Here is my card.  I went back and forth on circle size but I found this worked.  It's probably about 2 inches.  I know it's smaller than 2.5 inches.  I quilled the flower, carrot, bunny, and ducky and added goggly eyes.  The sentiment is a G Studio stamp.

There's still time to play with this sketch!  Until next time my friends...lot's of bunnies hopping!  :)

Spring Card

Hello Everybody!

I have a 2nd card I am happy to share with you tonight.  I am entering it into 2 challenges.

Moxie Fab's Tuesday Trigger--which is this picture.  I was inspired by the colors.

The sketch at Freshly Made Sketches help me put it all together.  Here is the sketch for challenge FMS25:

Here's my card.  The blue and peach cardstock are Bazzill.  The printed paper, ribbon, and flower are from DCWV.  The DCWV product is from a spring collection I bought a loooonnnngggg time ago.  And I still use it.  It was definitely a great buy.  Oh and I almost forgot the stamp is from MSE that I got at Christmas.  This is the first time I have used it--Yay!

So I thought this was a nice card to make to honor spring time.  I love this time of year!  Until next time my friends....happy spring :)

Here Comes the Bride-Congrats Card

Hello Everybody,

I made this card for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #22.  Here's the sketch...

Here's my card...A friend of mine just got engaged.  So I have had wedding on my mind.

Here's the close up of the bride.  The stamp is from G Studio and she's embossed with Stampendous silver embossing powder.  I was quite happy when I found that in my stash.  I was looking for pink--and then saw this color.  Yay! :)

Here's a close up of the center.  The stripes and flowers are from the same sheet of scrapbook paper by American Crafts.  Then the grey and white are from Recollections cardstock paper.  The sentiment is from Creating Keepsakes (a freebie they sent a little while back).

Here's my card again.  Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a good night! :)

Get Out Your Green Hats!

Hello Everybody!

Since I have mailed out my Valentine's, it's time to put away the red and get out the green.  Saint Patrick's Day will be here in no time, so I have to get started on making those cards!

So the sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches was an awesome sketch to get me in the Saint Patty's Day spirit!  This sketch is from Lesley #21 Seeing Double....

I used the sketch in a horizontal way.  The pot is a G Studio stamp that I heat embossed and colored with a Copic Marker and a Krylon Gold Leaf Marker.  The Krylon marker is awesome!  I used the Celebrate with Flourish cartridge for the hat.  It's a pilgrim's hat...but now it a leprechaun's hat!  I used green stickles to outline it.  The ribbon is from Anna Griffin.  I don't know where the background paper came from, but the shamrocks are from a piece of Reminisce.

Until next time my friends...get out the green! :)

You are my Sunshine Card

Hello Everybody!

I realized that I haven't done any challenges in the last couple of days.  I realized I was blog hopping!  Yay, that is totally fun but ideas are building up in my head and are going to explode out if I don't start cutting and pasting soon!

So aside from developing 200 pictures at Walgreens today (they have another good pic sale this week also) I made a card for Freshly Made Sketches.  I love their sketches, and their Design Team comes up with great inspiration.  This is for Sketch Challenge #20.

So here's the sketch:

The challenge is to make a long card using the sketch.  This was really a great challenge because normally I use pre-made cards and cover them.  This time I took green cardstock with dimensions for 6X7.5 (length) and folded it to make 3 inches width and 7.5 inches long.

Here's my card.  The cardstock is Bazzill and the rest of the paper is from Making Memories.  You are my Sunshine is a printed on a ribbon.  I bought it that way from Michaels I think.  And the sentiment is embossed with this great embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle, and it's called Peanut Butter.  It just sounds yummy!

Now I need to get focused on Valentine's Day!  Until next time my friends...stay focused :)

Blue and Yellow Thank you Card

Hello Everybody!

Hope all is going well mid-week.  :)  Tonight I finished a card for 2 challenges:

Freshly Made Sketches #18 -The sketch for my card.

CAS-ual Fridays CFC #35-scallops (and not the kind from the seafood counter!) ;)

Here's my card.  Scroll on down, and I'll show you what I did.

This is where my paper came from.  This mat stack is from Making Memories, and I bought it at an uber good price at a Scrapbook Expo 1 or 2 years ago.  Love it!

My scallop scissors that made the the two boxes on my card.

This DCWV stack is where I found letters that matched exactly the blue paper I had.

Then there are 2 blue and 1 yellow pieces of Ric Rac.  And the felt flower and button center are from Fancy Pants.  Until next time my friends...stay coordinated!  :)

XOXOs Valentine's Day Card

Hello Everybody!

It's a month away!  Valentine's Day!  So I don't know about you but I have got to get my rear in gear and get some cards made!  So the next few challenges help to get me started :)

Moxie Fab:  Die Cutting Challenge in the Moxie Fab World
I used my Cuttlebug for this card.

Freshly Made Sketches #17
This sketch help form my card :)

Simon Says Stamp: Spots and/or Stripes
My square is embossed with polka dots and there are 2 strips :)

So here's my card...Scroll on down and I'll show you what I did!

I think this paper is Die Cuts with a View.  It came from one of those big paper packs...but from a long time ago.  It has since been dismantled and the name isn't on the back :(

So I put the patterned paper on for the stripes according to the sketch.

My square measured around 3x3 inches.  I used my polka dot folder to emboss it.

Here is my heart die cut for use with my Cuttlebug machine.  I made 4 hearts and made the flower with this on my card.

I'm sorry that the shadow is bad!  This is the inside of my card.  I had stamped it on the inside but the stamp wasn't even.  So I restamped it and used my 2 inch Marvy punch to punch it out.  The stamp is from KI Memories.  I used a little red ink on the edges and then put the square through my Xron machine so the whole square would stick to the card.  I meant to do ;)

I used a 1 inch circle punch for the center of the flower.  Yay! 1 Valentine's Card down...and 15 more to go :)  Until next time my friends...have a good evening!
