Happy Halloween Card

 Hello Friends!

I was inspired by two challenges to make this card. The first is The Funkie Junkie Challenge: Stamped with Love using Tim Holtz stamps. The second is make your own background by Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

Here's my card:

Here's a close up of most of the detail.

The background is CMS414 Tapestry-I used villianous potion embossing glaze and distress ink.

The skeleton is from CMS437 Halloween Doodles.

CMS237 Crazy Things-Balloons (which I masked to get them together), hat, bow tie (colored with villianous potion embossing glaze), and pumpkin trick or treat container. I used copics and prismacolor markers for these things.

CMS236 Crazy Talk is the sentiment (and my favorite sentiment stamp of all time.)

Some twine and pop dots were used for the balloons.

I am probably going to make this background again. There is something about the shine of the glaze that is just so pretty. :)

Thank you for stopping by! :)

You are a Blessing Card

Hello Everybody!

I have to share this card with y'all tonight also.  I used Jane's Doodles stamp set and I am just in love with it.  This little angel is just the sweetest!  I added a cup of coffee from Stampailities to make this card a bit more personalized.

The vellum helps the angel not have to compete with the gold foil background.  I got that paper from Michaels and I just love it!

Here is a close up of the angel.  I had to ask my husband if her freckles were ok.  I don't usually add extra things because drawing is not my strong point-but I just felt she needed freckles.

Thank you for stopping by again!  :)

Hugs Birthday Card

Hello Everybody!

Let me show the birthday card I made for my friend-and then I can tell you about it! :)

I was looking for things that my friend likes-and I didn't have much (in the way of farm animals and cowgirlish type things).  And as I was looking for something else (isn't that always the way?) it occurred to me that I am giving the card so it was ok if it was more a me card than a her card.

I like to make cards for people based on the people-I know many of us here in blogland do-that's part of the fun of make cards for our friends and family.  But I saw this old Stampin' Up stamp which reminded me of my spazzy self.  I used a Spell Binder die to make the cool scalloped circle. I saw the background that I had created for a different project but didn't work for that project.  (which is a stencil and distress oxides)  And then everything else came together.  I used Thickers foam letters to spell out Hugs because it was fun and we are always hugging. :)  LOL.

The cut little butterfly is from Queen and Company and the sparkly flower sequins are from Pink and Main.  I colored my spazzy "self" with Copic markers. :)  I used Nuovo Embellishment Mousse around the edges of the card to give them a little sparkle.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

{Pin}spirational Challenge #221:  The photo inspiration:
Here pink dress-definitely an inspiration to this card.  But I hope she doesn't sit up to fast-the top doesn't look that secure.  And she's going to need hugs if she falls off of that bike with those shoes.  (LOL I'm teasing I'm sure this is a photo shoot sort of thing and she's a model.)

Girlie ATC

Hello Everybody!

I came across a challenge called Wicked Wednesdays where you make Artist Trading Cards based on the theme.  The challenge right now is #246 Girlie.

I'm really excited about it.  I need to make some ATC's because the Scrapbook Expo is coming up, and they are one of the best ways (I think) to share my social media information.  Sometimes I don't give out any cards-and sometimes I wish I had one to give out.  LOL.  A lot of the time I'm so busy shopping and looking-I'm not talking making new friends.

So here is my ATC for this challenge:

I bought this stamp last year from Technique TJ Junkies.  These stamps were in the same booth as Art Anthology paints (which is very cool).  This is one of my favorite stamps.  I didn't break the rules-They were already broken when I got here.  Right?!?!  Sometimes I feel that way LOL :)

I used picked raspberry distress ink around the outer edges.  I colored the lady with Copic markers and added 3 pearls.

Thank you for stopping by today!  Until next time my friends...stay sassy ;)

Happy New Year!

Hello Friends!

Happy New Year!  New month-new year-New Challenge at Creative with Stamps! Let's get started!

Here is this month's inspirational picture:

The snow covered tree, the colors-what a great photo for inspiration!

So this is my card.  I had snow on my mind...

This cute snowman is from Bugaboo Stamps.  I think he is retired-but they have some other great snowmen that I have my eye on!  And if you like Bugaboo they are one of this month's sponsors!  So be sure you link up with us!

I embossed the white panel with a snowflake embossing folder.  I used frost lace stickles over the edges of the white panel.  For the snowman I used pop dots and colored him with Copic markers.  The sequins were left over from a kit so I glued some of those around.  Then I added a little bow because I'm not sure what sentiment should go for this.  And sometimes it's good to have cards that are not committed yet.  :)

Be sure that when you do join us at Creative with Stamps-you include our graphic:

Thank you for stopping by today!  Until next time my friends...have a wonderful new year! :)

Fun Ghouls Card

Hello Everybody!

It's that time of the month-halfway!  :)  And so my friends at Creative with Stamps, and I are ready to share some mid-month inspiration with you.  This month it's about including a sentiment on your card.

So here is my card:

This was super fun to make.  I stamped and colored the girl monsters.  I used black embossing powder for 2 of them and pink ink with clear embossing powder for the middle monster.

The black background paper is from Pebbles and the orange was a scrap.  The monster stamps and sentiment are all from Craft Smart (Michaels 2012).  They are colored with Copics.  The spider web is a Martha Steward web punch.  I used glittery cardstock for it.  Lastly, the rhinestones are from Michaels.

Please make sure to include this graphic on your posts.

Be sure to visit the other DT ladies as well.

I would like to link this card to the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by today!  Until next time my friends...use those sentiments! :)

A Super Card

Hello Everybody!

I am happy to say that the stars aligned and I was able to play today.  I made a few cards (I'm usually very slow), and I am excited to share them with you guys!  They are going to be on separate posts because I have found a challenge or two to participate in.

For this card I was inspired by the sketch at Paper Play Sketches 015.

The papers are scraps (yay!) and I embossed the black cardstock.  The super girl and sentiment are from Fun Stampers Journey.  I colored her with Copic markers.  I tried to give her highlight but I don't think you can tell-lol.  Here hair is lighter than the brown that I have so that is good.

Here is the sketch that inspired this card.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...have a super day! :)

Autumn Blessings Card

Hello Everybody!

Can you believe it is already September 15?  How did this happen?  Where did September go?  Well, one good thing about today is that is time for some more inspiration from our Creative With Stamps team.  Here is my inspiration.

For this card I used a stamp from our generous sponsor STAMPlorations.  It is the Pumpkin-Large.  The sentiment is also from STAMPlorations.

I used copic markers for the pumpkin and the leaves.  I used Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey.  And then I added the leaf brads.

The challenge this month is to use the colors or the picture for inspiration.  We can't wait to see what you make! :)

Be sure to include this on your post! :)

Until next time my friends...time to get a pumpkin something! ;)

Hello Everybody!

A new month means a new challenge at Creative with Stamps!

We are so excited with the participation in our Butterflies Challenge.  Thank you to everyone who joined us.  It was an awesome treat to see your creations! :)

For my CAS card I used an older Stampin' Up Stamp and sentiment.

I stamped this sweet lady onto a die cut from Spellbinders.  The inks was SU too-brilliant blue.  I used Copics to color the sweet lady. I round the corners also.

So be sure you link up your CAS cards this month!  We can't wait to see what you make! :)

I am entering this into the {Pin}spirational Challenge: image challenge.

Until next time my friends-please pass the sugar. :)

Beach Frame

Hello Everybody!

I am super excited to show you my project for the Great Impressions Blog.  This week we are showing you fun summery creations that you can use your stamps for!

I used 3 stamps to make this beach frame.  They are: F549 Hot Air Balloon, D421 Lucky Enough, D404 Blowing Bubbles.  You can find these and other awesome stamps at the Great Impressions Online Store!

This is how the frame started.  It's a paper mache frame from Joann's.  I didn't take any pictures of how I did the background.  I used Distress Paints Broken China and Salty Ocean over the whole frame.  Then I made sand.  I used Tim Holt'z technique here to make it.  I substituted a couple of items on the recipe-due to brands.  But if it said glitter I used glitter.  However, I did use the antique lined distress embossing powder because that is a main component in the sand making.

I stamped the hot air balloon on acrylic with Ranger's Archival Ink.  I cut out the balloon and one of the clouds.  I wanted you to see the the difference between the original stamp and the parts that I used.

I also stamped the balloon on white cardstock and colored it with Copics.  I cut out the balloon and the basket.

Here is the balloon on the frame.  I used pop dots under the paper parts.  I also have one of the clouds that I colored with a Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen-white.  It dried nicely on the acrylic!  Yay! :)

Here is this super cute crab blowing bubbles!  I colored him with Copics and used salty ocean and scattered straw distress ink in the background.  I used Stickles on his bubble and when those were dry, I fussy cut him out of the cardstock and covered him with Glossy Accents.  The other bubbles are from a Heidi Swapp stencil, transparent embossing paste (by Wendy Vecchi) and some Stampin' Up glitter sprinkled on top.

I would like to submit this beachy frame to the Simon Says Stamp: A Mid-Summer's Challenge.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...time to get my toes in the sand! :)

Cute Cowboy

Hello Everybody!

I am so excited to be apart of the House of Cards Team!  Each week we showcase a different style-but we all have the same challenge.  Personally, I love to see the different takes on challenges.  Everyone is so creative!

The challenge is to use a bow or more.  I am on the Cute and Fun Team.  So for my Cute card, I used this super cute Cowboy set from Stampin' Up that a friend of mine gave me (awesomeness!).

I used a shattered kraft core cardstock by Tim Holtz for the background.  I used Copic Markers for the coloring.  For the inking around the image and sentiment I used spiced marmalade and faded blue jeans distress inks.  The twine is from Queen and Company.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope that you will play along.  We would love to see you cards with bows! :)

Until next time my friends...have a good day partner! :)

Wonder Rose Pop Up Box Card

Hello Everybody!

I am super excited to share this card with y'all!  I finally took the time to make a pop-art card.  So many folks have made them-very awesome ones at that!  It was Dr. Sonia who made one a couple of days ago and that is when I decided I finally had to give this a try!

Here it is.  And there is a story...probably too long a long but I will share it and try to condense it.  :)  We are going to a birthday party for a little friend of my son's.  They play superheroes together and her superhero name is Wonder Rose.  (How cute is that!)  Anyway, when I was at the Scrapbook Expo I saw this set of super hero stamps from Fun Stampers Journey.  Had. To. Have. Them.  :)  There are 2 girls and 2 boys.  When I saw the W I just knew I would make Wonder Rose a birthday card with it.  I did not realize at the time that it would be a Pop Up Box card. :)

Here is the outside.  I embossed the small panels and used light modeling paste and a Heidi Swapp stencil for the bottom.

Here is the other side.  The long panel is for the message (brilliant!)

Here is Wonder Rose.  The stars are from a little star punch that I have had forever.  Some of the stars are pop dotted and other are glued together to create the lines of stars on either side.  I love it when things I have forever get used.  I think it validates why I keep everything...but that is for a different day.  ;)  So WR is standing in front of a city sky line that I made with stamps from Close to My Heart.  I heat embossed them with silver powder and fussy cut them out.  I even pop dotted one.  I colored her with Copics and a Distress marker (for her hair).

Now let me tell you about these panels.  There is a company called Sparkle N Sprinkle.  They make a sticky sheet and an ultra fine soft glitter called cloud nine.  I put the double sided sticky sheet to a piece of white cardstock.  Trimmed it to fit the square.  Peel off the other side and applied the glitter.  Then I stamped on it with Rangers Archival ink.  That's it beside gluing it down.  This picture doesn't even do it justice.  It's so cool!

The top and bottom stamp are from the Superheroes set by Fun Stampers Journey.

I am linking this "super" card to the following challenges:

Sparkle N Sprinkle--Anything Goes with Loose Glitter and Embossing (and flocking but I didn't do that)

Cute Lil' Bunny

Hello Everybody!

I finished an Easter card this evening.  I used a Bugaboo waving bunny on it.  I think he is super cute!

I colored him with Copics.  I used the swiss dots embossing folder for the purple cardstock.  The flowers are from a trim I have.  And the background paper is a scrap (Yay!).  I used a little pink ink around the bunny square too.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...keep craftin'! :)

Trick or Treat

Hello Everybody!

I am working on Halloween cards!  Halloween is like next week!  How did that happen?

So over at Let's Scrap they have a great sketch this week.  Here's my card:

The little "monsters" are from the $1.50 bin at Michaels.  The brand is Craft Smart.  I bought them last year and I still love them!  I colored them with Copic Markers and I heat embossed them with black embossing powder.

The little bat is from Stampin Up (2001!) and is popped dotted up.  The 2 light spider webs are from a Craftsmart stamp.  The darker spider web is from a Martha Stewart border punch.  Then the sentiment is from Tim Holtz Stampers anonymous with a little inking done.  Oh!  And the background paper is from MME (last year) and I spritzed it with orange Dylusions spray.

Here is the Let's Scrap sketch.  Love this sketch!

Thanks for stopping by!  Until next time my friends...stay spooky! :)

Faux Silk Technique

Hello Everybody!

It's the first Tuesday of September so that means it is time to learn a new technique at Technique Time Tuesday.  I really do enjoy learning these different techniques, and I hope you do too!

Mynnette has a wonderful tutorial that can be found here.  Here is my card:

I made the tissue paper panel and colored the stamped image with Copics and Spectrum Noir markers.  I mounted the panel on a piece of card stock where I colored the edges with this very cool marker from Faber-Castell.  It is a PITT artist pen blue metallic.  I colored the mermaid's tail with this marker.  The blue marker shows up darker on her tail (which is on the tissue paper) versus on the border (which is on white cardstock).

I trimmed some silver paper for the background of my card.  Then I added the black cardstock and then the blue metallic colored paper.  Lastly, I put on my faux silk panel.

This cool mermaid is from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  I got it when I took a class at the Scrapbook Expo a few months ago.  The shell and this sentiment are from the same set.  I used some stickles glitter for the shell.

On the inside I stamped hello from The Alley Way Stamps.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

I really hope that you try the Faux Silk Technique.  I can't wait to see your new creations!  Until next time my friends..get those stamps out! :)

New Home Card

Hello Everybody!

This month at Sparkle N Sprinkle the challenge-SNSSC18-is to use a digital stamp.  This cute little mushroom house is from Sparkle N Sprinkle and the artist is Becky Muir.  I printed it twice so I could make some extra flowers.  One of the flowers I used a pop dot to make it dimensional.

I colored it with Copics and added some Martha Stewart twine.  New Home are words from the Tim Holtz chit chat collection.

Here is a picture of the dimensional flowers.

The challenge goes until the end of the month and you can play with whatever images you have!  Until next time my friends...have a good night!

Happy Easter!

Hello Everybody!

Happy Easter!  This is a cute little Easter card I made for the Sparkle N Sprinkle Challenge #SNSSC17-Glitter.

The sentiment and bunny are both from Sparkle N Sprinkle and I covered the Sentiment with a the red line glue paper and used Sparkle N Sprinkle's Waterscape Glitter.  I dry embossed the background panel.  This is a 6.5 by 5 inch card.  I used Copic markers to color the sentiment and bunny.

Thank you for stopping by!  Until next time my friends--have a wonderful Easter! :)

Happy Birthday Card

Hello Everybody!

This is my second post of the day-that means I am getting some things made!  Yah!

So this card is a Happy Birthday Card.  I don't have many already made and I have a lot of birthdays coming up!  (And one that has past but we will talk about that later!) ;)

This card is using the Sparkle N Sprinkle stamp set #392 Dani's Umbrella.  I embossed each panel with a different design.  I used Copic markers to color this flower girl and used Star Dust Stickles to make the spots on her dress glittery.  The twine is from My Mind's Eye.

The sentiment is from this stamp set also.  I stamped, colored, and cut it out.  Then I inked it with a pink cat's eye and punched a hole.  I tied it into the bow of the twine.

Scroll on down to see the sketch and challenges that I'm participating in!
