Patterned Rugs - West Elm

I'm on the search for a new rug for my bedroom.

A few elements this rug must have is :

    • Colour - my room has a lot of white and I want to inject some colour
    • Pattern - not too busy but with a clear pattern
    • Light - not a heavy rug, something quite light
    • Price - it can't be too expensive

So I've been scouring the net and I have to say so far (and I'm not close to finishing my search yet) are the ones at West Elm. The ones below are meeting the checklist of must haves ....

I love this one, I think this is going to be it!

What do you think, do you like any of these?
Which is your favourite?

Empire

Such a lovely day today.
After a lovely catch up brunch with one of my girlfriends at
Cantina on Beaufort St, Mt Lawley we headed to
Empire for some inspiration.

The items I would have snapped up in a heart beat if I could have were ...

So in love with this chair, perfect for the outside or inside. Colour is amaze!

Great setting for outside or on a balcony.

Perfect for a media room. So deep to put your feet up, I would just spend days relaxing on this.

Cute, industrial and colourful

Would love these in an office space

I have no words ... maybe one - love!

I found a good option for the stools for my kitchen bench, wooden top with yellow legs

Sigh for this lamp

Yummy bits and pieces for the kitchen

Loved these ceramic cannisters that look like tin cans

Thank you West Elm

As I popped onto West Elms website today, just to have my normal look around dreaming of what I could buy if I lived in the US, I was very excited to see that West Elm are now shipping to Australia!
You do not know what that means to me..... !!
So I started trawling through and these are some items that I want to snap up - now!

Warning - all pieces are in yellow, white and grey SURPRISE ...

I have wanted this style for ages for my guest room, Chevron Duvet Cover

White Lacquer Jewellery Box
Would look great on top of my chest of drawers inside my walk in robe

How often do you find a cute yet simple bath mat??

Oh I love this grey Zebra rug, it too would look great in my walk  in robe

Yellow and lacquer - yes please!

Hive vase
Oooh the yellow Pleat Cushion would look great in the living room

This also makes me realise I need to update you on my current little place, and how things are looking in my new rental .... coming soon ...

Zhush it up ...

Don't you love this tray? It's Made By Girl, Jen's latest addition and it looks great. So when I read on to see where she got it from, I was not surprised! I myself had only emailed Sue over at the Zhush this week to see if she was shipping to Australia yet. Sadly the answer is no, for now.
Fingers crossed in the near future but if she did at the moment, I would be in trouble with these ...

Pastel Chevron Covered Box

Brass Alchemy Trays

Gold Wishbone

Agate Trinket Box

Ogden Print Laminated Tray

Telangana Patterned Bone Boxes

I just know they would all look fab in my place !!

Beautiful DIY

I've just come across this great lampshade idea over at Ruby Rhino in which she got from Living etc.

What a great idea particularly when you can't find what you're looking for but also when you don't want to pay big bucks for a beautiful lampshade!

Must visit Ada & Darcy

The new online store that is. The lovely Kellie of the Ada & Darcy blog has the most beautiful online boutique. So many gorgeous things at really affordable prices and perfect timing for Christmas! There are so many things I love but these are just some of my very favs...

So many adorable colourful cushions

Love the base and the shade

A collection of these in the pretty pastel shades would look great all clustered together

I don't need these straws but I'm going to get them just because I love them!

Goodluck with the new store Kellie, it's beautiful xx

Blue & White

Thank you for all your kind thoughts regarding my mum. Her operation went well and she is recovering as expected :)

My mum has a great eye for interiors and beautiful taste. Mum has some gorgeous pieces of furniture, very Hamptons-ish and one of her favourite things is blue and white, she loves her blue and white.

She is actually thinking about these pieces above and below from Aria (one of each), they are really beautiful and will look great in her home.

Moroccan Wedding Blankets

Aren't these Moroccan Wedding blankets just gorgeous? I think so! I think they add a really beautiful touch to any bedroom but would also look great draped over a sofa or chair. Particularly if you like a fairly simple and serene interior, these can be great to add texture and feeling to a space.

If you are interested you can hop over to Table Tonic to a closer look.
