Givenchy

One of, in my opinion most beautiful streets (sorry avenues) in Paris is Avenue Montaigne.
It is just such a pretty avenue, tree lined and so beautifully manicured.
It is home to all top luxury brand boutiques.
The most recent addition to this line up is one of my favourite brands, Givenchy!

Located at number 36 Avenue Montaigne the 370 metre-square has been
designed by architect Joseph Dirand.
As French Vogue describes it :

"darkly romantic with a hint of elegant aristocracy, embodying the French brand's
signature style to perfection"

The flagship store consists of two floors dedicated solely to womenswear.
Only the highest quality materials have been used - green veined Breccia Verde Carrara marble,
polished steel, golden tinted brass, solid oak floors and grey volcanic rock.

I cannot wait to visit here when I am in Paris next year, and I might just buy
my wishlist Givenchy bag as a momento of my visit.

Squarespace Headquarters

This is very cool on two levels!

Squarespace is a fully hosted environment for creating and maintaining a website
with sophisticated yet easy to use interfaces and do it yourself tools to help you
 produce a high quality website.

I myself am using Squarespace for Our Little Place and I love it.
The websites are so easy to build and they do look very sophisticated.
I'm not very techie, but I think I've done a good job with it so far.
They are also reasonably priced and have fantastic customer service -
always on hand to help you out (no matter how silly the questions are)

But they recently invited a photographer inside their Manhattan HQ
to shoot an inside Google Street View!
I have not heard of this before.
So basically you know how you can do your street view ...
well if you click on the double arrow it will take you inside!

And here's what I found ...

The reception area

Dining area between the kitchen and the workspace

Kitchen

The "resource centre" I guess (I think they need more books right?)

Boardroom - I'd be holding meetings all the time in here!

Cool right!

When I saw these images it just reaffirmed that this is the right company to be hosting my site.
I'd love my HQ to look like this one day - open space, dark floor boards, white walls and huge windows.

If you want to have a go, click here
(just remember to click the double arrow forward to go inside the building)

Have you come across anywhere else that you can go inside via Google Street View?

FYI, this isn't a paid post haha

Mariposa

I love when friends come to town and we venture to many of the great spots
to shop and dine that Perth have to offer.
I did just that when my good friend Clayton of the sweet smelling blog,
What Men Should Small Like came to town.

We made a visit to Mariposa, located in Mt Lawley.
Filled with such a lovely collection of perfume, candles, skin care, cosmetics,
Mariposa is a store I have visited before but to visit with someone who
is so passionate about fragrance was a different experience.

Whilst I like perfumes, I don't have a huge passion for them.
But as we know what I do have is the passion for interiors and this little
tucked away store does not disappoint.

Modern, clean yet warm interior with visual merchandising that is actually really quite easy to
view despite the significant quantities of product. You just want to take your time and
wander and smell and try.

Great selection of Aesop in store, which is great for me as I'm a huge fan.

After trying a number of perfumes (and I mean a lot!) I came across the one above that I really liked.

Not seen in the top overall image of the store, the fixtures and fittings also have beautiful vintage
pieces of furniture and different elements. It's a really well placed combination.

Mariposa is a great inspiration should I one day open up
the Our Little Place bricks and mortar store.

Kelly Wearstler Headquarters

Jealous is the word that comes to mind here!
There's a story on Refinery29 that takes us inside the headquarters of Designer
(both interiors and fashion) of Kelly Wearstler and introduces us to not only the to-die-for
working space but some the very lucky people that get to work with her at KW HQ!
This would be my absolute dream to work with such a talented and creative women.

Refinery29

As we know I get a tad obsessed with gorgeous workspaces,
particularly those that are creative and provides space for collaboration.

It's no wonder that I am beyond inspired by the offices of Refinery 29.

For those that aren't familiar with Refinery 29, it's one of my daily reads
that provides you everything you want to know about fashion, beauty, living,
entertainment, news, how to's and so much more.

I like the natural, boho feel to it

Perfect for meetings and brainstorming - write on the walls

Perfect inspiration wall for everyone

One very cool light fixture

The padded telephone room, great idea in such a communal workspace

What do you think, could you work here?

Empire

Such a lovely day today.
After a lovely catch up brunch with one of my girlfriends at
Cantina on Beaufort St, Mt Lawley we headed to
Empire for some inspiration.

The items I would have snapped up in a heart beat if I could have were ...

So in love with this chair, perfect for the outside or inside. Colour is amaze!

Great setting for outside or on a balcony.

Perfect for a media room. So deep to put your feet up, I would just spend days relaxing on this.

Cute, industrial and colourful

Would love these in an office space

I have no words ... maybe one - love!

I found a good option for the stools for my kitchen bench, wooden top with yellow legs

Sigh for this lamp

Yummy bits and pieces for the kitchen

Loved these ceramic cannisters that look like tin cans

Aesop

Aesop have some of my favourite skin care products.
Founded in Australia in 1987, Aesop creates a range of superlative products for skin, hair and body.
They use the finest plant based ingredients and non-botanical elements such as anti-oxidants.
I love their products - the smell, textures and of course the feel.

Not only are their products great, I am also a fan of their brilliant store designs and their minimal yet impactful packaging.

Aesop Bondi

Aesop Armadale

Aesop Hong Kong

Perth Place - Zekka

So I've been I've been in Perth for 7 weeks now and am quickly discovering many places to eat and drink - coffee mainly, this town loves coffee!

One of my fav spots is Zekka located on King Street. The coffee is good as is the breakfast but it's the interior space and ambience that I love.

You need to enter through the long hallway which has some interesting art installations.

I like the industrial feel but it's also actually very comfortable and cosy.

The service is also really good, nice and friendly for such a busy place.
