This card was made and sent before I was able to use my camera again, even though I love my phone camera I couldn’t add my watermark or get rid of the shadows so I thrilled I can use my camera again. It’s the small things that make my day lol.
Another altenew set and stencil and I followed one of the examples in the stamp packaging and I love it. In fact I might make a few more as daffodils are quite a few friends favourite flowers.
Why do I never realise how easy I can make a card, I mean I was going to inset the strips in different colours and all sorts of stuff then I just stuck it down and love it, I need to try that with all my background dies. The image was already coloured on my desk, does anyone else do this, just colour and then not make anything with the image until years later lol. I did try using all my coloured images a few years ago and didn’t even make a dent in my stash lol. Maybe I should try that again….watch this space and see if I succeed.
Of course I couldn’t just use the stuff once lol. I think I like these colours more than the previous one. It’s so simple to colour with stencils my copics are feeling neglected lol.
This stamp and stencil set from Honey Bee was part of my crop and create kit from 2022. I wanted to attend another so I thought I should use some of the stuff from the last one before I do. I used a crafters companion sentiment as I mostly make birthday cards rather than thinking of you etc.
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned that I found last years cards on my camera but this is one of them. I bought a fab stamp set from altenew and followed the colours in the packaging, a simple card but it was well received.
This card is a departure from my usual style but I will say I really like it. I will have to try and do some more like this but as I made it in 2023 I have no idea how lol.
I always make a huge card for my mum’s birthday and this is no exception, it’s an 8x8 and this image from Altenew was the perfect size. I also made the sentiment on my cricut and cut the white layer with vinyl lol, see I said I was obsessed
I apologise for the tumble weeds on my blog for the last few weeks, I always struggle to get back into crafting after a break and this time it was even harder than ever and it even made me question whether I wanted to continue making cards, of course a few days in my room has made that thought disappear but I hope that continues.
Sometimes new to me goodies need to all be used on one card and that’s exactly what happened here. A friend was selling some of her altenew stash so I bought it and decided to use it all lol. Normally the stuff would sit for about a thousand years before I touch it but this time I was inspired.
Apologies for the awful picture quality, this was one of those cards that took way longer than it should have and the picture needed to be taken just as it was delivered to the recipient.
I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire to make the shaker letters and although I like them I made them too high but at least I know for the next one. I also tried stencilling on coloured card stock and that I liked a lot.
I recently bought this set from a friend and I was amazed that I had the exact colours needed to be able to recreate it the same as on the packaging. I also followed the design that was printed on the packaging. Not sure where I got the greeting set as I haven’t labelled it doh!!!
The final one for now and combining two of my favourite colours, I think if you haven’t tried the stamp and stencil combo you definitely need to especially if you don’t like to colour
So this one I discovered I could use multiple colours and looking at it I’m wondering why I never went rainbow lol. I didn’t make multiples of this colour scheme which now I’m writing this I have no idea why. It’s been almost a year since I made them but I think I should make some more
My second attempt and with my favourite colour too. It still works and I still like it lol.
It’s a perfect card for the ladies in our lives, especially the green fingered ones lol.
This was my first try with this stamp and stencil set from Honey Bee and before I realised I could stencil the flowers in multiple colours. I still really like it though and I love the stencil with the stamp as it’s so quick and easy to achieve beautiful colouring without picking up a pen.
I attended the Crop and Create in September and this set and card was one of the ones we made. Of course the original I made I didn't have all my supplies with me so it was darker and hand cut this one I felt I could make my own. I have used the same colours as Gina but lighter versions (gina's looked lighter than mine as I am heavy handed) I also incorporated one of the suggestions that arose during the session and that was too mask the bottom portion of the rooftop stamp. I am very happy with how this turned out.
The final 70th card for this year and the only one that wasn't posted across the pond lol.
I knew what images I wanted to use on this card when I bought them so of course i struggled to find the set once the card needed to be made lol.
I am really enjoying making the number cards on my cricut, I find them oddly satisfying and I can't see a reason to stop anytime soon lol.
The final thing to say is to wish all my friends who have celebrated big birthdays this year a very happy day and I hope there was lots of cake lol.
Omg I can’t believe I haven’t shown this before. I made it when I made the skyline card with the glasses and that was a while ago.
I had stamped the glasses and coloured them when the creative stamping magazine arrived and it was beach themed so it worked out perfectly
I made this card the same time as the sunset one and I still have the mountain one to use but as I didn't have an idea for that one I decided to wait until I do. I don't normally create scenes and I did enjoy this so maybe there will be more in my future lol.

Sometimes a new stamp and die comes out that totally changes the way you look at your supplies and the way you create and this was one of those for me. As soon as I saw it I was in awe and couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I stamped and coloured all three landscapes and had no idea how I was going to make them into cards when I had an idea and it totally worked.
This is the second set of cards and in these colour combos I made a lot. Every year I look for a nice flat design that I can make and send to my friends and family and this year this was it.
The main thing I changed apart from more traditional colours was the snowflake colour, I wanted them to blend into the background more and this grey worked perfectly.
