Fabulous Blue Shoes

So this card is the first of three that I made with the February/March issue of Creative Stamping, I am not showing all three yet though as a few of the recipients might follow my blog, I will however post those after their birthdays.

This magazine was an absolute joy to work with and I made ten cards in the space of a few days all using the images. I will be showing those other cards soon too.

All the cards used background stamps, versa fine ink and prismacolour pencils plus the MOD stitched rectangle from MFT.

Creative Stamping Drum Set

Creative Stanping keeps getting better and better with each issue, I have already gotten issue 53 and I think i might even make something today wth it. I suppose really I should use more of issue 52 but maybe tomorrow lol.

I saw a similar card in the magazine and I wanted to recreate it, with my own spin of course. The hardest and most time consuming part was masking the drums to be able to stamps the splatters but I don't think it would have worked otherwise.

I am thinking this should be a card I have on standby for those difficult guy cards, although I probably enjoy guy cards more than most lol.

Hunky-dory Snow Globe Version 2

The main difference between this one and yesterdays card is that I have added another little snowman. I had to mirror stamp the image and I thought this would be difficult but it wasn't. I used the acetate from the stamp set, stamped the image and then just turned it over onto my card and rubbed, yes it really was that simple.

Hunky-dory Snow globe Version 1

This year Hunky-dory have really become one of my favourite stamp companies, there designs and price point make them a firm favourite for sure. I always watch the month release on Facebook live and I knew as soon as they showed this set I would need to have it.

Before you ask, yes I am obsessed with snow globes and jars lol. Although to be fair I never seem to make cards with them just collect them so you wouldn't know how many are sitting in my craft room lol.

Tatty Ted Christmas 3

Sometimes once you start using a stamp set you can't stop until all the images are used, ok so I have never, ever done that but I have come close and this is one set where I was tempted to use them all but was running out of time. I wish I was more organised and had the time to make each christmas card an individual maybe I should make the christmas card when I make their birthday cards lol. who am i kidding I can barely get the birthday cards made in time

This was the first design from this magazine and you can tell it wasn't the last lol. I am so shocked that I kept going with this design as normally I get bored but not this time, maybe it was because I was so disorganised lol.

Creative Stamping Stockings

Third card in the Creative Stamping series, think this version is definitely my favourite and this image is the reason I bought the magazine in the first place. Of course then I was intending colouring each stocking but there is always next year.

First Christmas

We have a new addition to the family and they always get a card for themselves on their first christmas. I bought this magazine just for this image and sentiment and I am so glad I did as there are loads of other images to enjoy too.

I originally coloured the hair blond but once she was born she had beautiful dark hair so her card was changed to match, i love that you can achieve this easily with copics.

Tatty Ted Christmas 2

As I already had the Tatty Ted set from Papermania on my desk I decided to make another card, I did choose a different image but the design was exactly the same.

I have had these stamps for at least six years and I am amazed I have never coloured them before.

I am hoping that I will start my christmas cards earlier in 2018 so I can at least colour some of the stamps I already possess.

Creative Stamping Bauble

Second of the Creative Stamping cards, this time its the bauble and again I think this would look awesome white heat embossed and watercoloured.

Creative Stamping Tree

I made several variations of this card design, all using the same set of stamps and papers. I love the look of heat embossing on Kraft card and I was pleased with how simple yet elegant they turned out.

So today I am showing the tree version, this tree would look beautiful coloured with copics or pencils and that maybe a design I use next year.

Tatty Ted Christmas

This design seems to be my go to this year, I was trying to be more organised but in the end I was more disorganised than ever. In the summer I completely lost my mojo and my tradition of completing the birthday cards for the entire year by the end of August slipped away.

So because of that my christmas cards needed to be simple and quick. Over the rest of the month I will be showing these and yes they do all look very similar lol.

Unicorn

I love me some unicorns and at the moment so does everyone else as they are everywhere lol.

The person I made this card for isn't into the cute type so when I bought this magazine I already knew who the image would be used for.

Of course once it was coloured I had no idea what to do with it and then I remembered that I had made a background for a fairy card and thought give it a go.

Giraffe Girl

When I made this card "April" the giraffe had just given birth so giraffes were everywhere lol. I was inspired and decided to grab an unused older Pure Innocence stamp. I do enjoy colouring these images and I do have a lot of them, mostly unused which I know I should change.

Once I found the paper the card came together really quickly and this blueprint is awesome lol. I have scheduled this post as I didn't want the recipient to see it until after their birthday so I might have used this layout multiple time, maybe I need to go back and look lol.

And Creative Stamping knocks it out of the park yet again with their free stamps. I made this and the day the magazine arrived and I have ideas for quite a few of the other images too, the others are predominantly masculine though so of course I made a female card first lol.

Liquorice Allsorts

I have been a fan of the Creative Stamping Magazine for a while now, its great value for money and the stamps are good quality too. So when I saw that the set for February was sweet themed and included liquorice all sorts I knew I had to have it.

I have followed one of the card designs in the magazine just adding a pink mat and making it a2 sized but other than that its a reproduction. I am hoping to make more with the stamps soon but as is normal around here its on to the next new set lol.

Warm Wishes and Sunny Smiles

I think I need to apologise that I am still using images coloured in the last two 30 day challenges. I got so carried away colouring that I didn't realise how many I would have after the challenge ended. Now I would like to say this is the last but I think that would be a lie lol. 

This stamp is from the free set that comes with Creative Stamper, this magazine is awesome, you get a full sheet of stamps plus the magazine gives you ideas on how to use the stamps too. 

I had an idea and it worked, either I am getting better at executing my ideas or my ideas are getting simpler lol, either way I am happy.
