Treat Yourself

I own a lot and I mean a lot of burger stamps but when I saw this freebie digi from Hunkydory I couldn’t wait to colour it and make a card. I used the Tim holtz stencil for the ketchup splats but the first attempt went a bit overboard and looked more like a bloodbath than ketchup lol.

A panda on a bike….of course it is

I very rarely use pre-printed sheets but sometimes you know you wouldn’t be able to achieve this yourself.

Football Crazy

The only boy from the big 6 deserved a card fit for a football crazy boy.  I adore the lili of the valley digital stamps they make it so easy to resize etc but of course I printed this the exact same size it would have been as a stamp lol.

The stencil was a very recent purchase from hunkydory and I also suppose it could be used for a fishing net.... of now the cogs are turning.

HunkyDory Panda

You may have noticed a bit of a pattern with my last few posts lol, the obsession for the start of 2023 is the watercolour stencil and distress oxide inks. I do think it makes the image pop and they are quick and easy to make too. There will be more but I won't be showing them until after the recipients birthdays. But lets just say I made a lot more lol.

During Chrimbo limbo I was looking for a Panda image to make a card for the lady that started my cardmaking journey and I came across these freebie digital stamps on Hunkydory, there are loads to choose from and not just pandas either. I printed a few and will show them later once the birthdays have passed.

Fresh Cut

Another big birthday and another eclipse, I have no idea what I would do if I didn't have these large number dies they make making a significant number so easy to do.

This time I went with a large penny black cling stamp and it took so much longer to colour than I expected even though I used less colours. Its not one I see myself reaching to colour often, which is a shame as its lovely.

Not much else to say except I hope the recipient enjoyed their lockdown big birthday.

Happy, happy, happy birthday

I had watched the video by Stephanie Klauk using this MFT stamp and as soon as I saw it I had to buy it lol. Of course Stephanie used rainbow and ombre and although that was my intention its not the way I eventually went.

The blue one I used all the B90's and for the last one I used the blender and tipped it with B91. The YG one was slightly easier as I had the right number of pens and this time I just did them a solid colour rather than shade them, that will be for next time when I am not in a rush lol.

Ingredients
Happy - Happy, happy, happy birthday from MFT
Birthday - Say it with Flowers from HunkyDory
Dies - A2 stitched rectangle from MFT
Card - Enchanted evening and new leaf both Papertrey Ink

Best Beer is an Open Beer

Ok so my last post with a card showed a beer make and I said it was made back in October, well this one was made at the same time. I did continue the two cards in one sitting that I started at the beginning of 2019 and I am proud to say I am still continuing that now.

I was also obsessed at the time with the One Sheet Wonder concept and had adapted the layout to use 6x6 paper, you don't get as many layouts but you can mix and match the patterns and colours easier

Ingredients

Sentiment: "cheers" from Hunkydory

Card: "dark indigo" from Papertrey Ink

Mice Memories

Hunky-dory stamp sets keep getting better and better, late last year they launched a few with these mice and I had to buy two of the three sets as I thought they were so cute. They remind me of the LOTV mice I used to buy years ago. I kind of like mice stamps but not real mice....well not ones that are in my house anyway. Not that this house has any but I have lived somewhere where we had mice...thats a story for another day though as its very long.

Quite a simple design, one I've used before but still one that I think works well. This paper pad has been used so much and mostly for this one paper I am so glad I bought the digital version so I can print it whenever I want to.

Flying a Kite

Now I wish I knew what colours I used for this image but I really don't, he has been coloured ready to go for months and it did make this card quick to put together but I really should record the colours on the back or something.

Even for a quick card I used a lot of products lol.

Burgers Again

I really like making guy/kid cards but for this one I was completely stumped. I've made lots of cute burger cards but wanted a slightly more realistic/older look for this one and hopefully this one fits the bill.

I stamped and masked all he food and then stamped the ketchup splotches in "wild cherry" mft hybrid ink. This was a last minute idea and one I really like.

Hunky-dory Snow Globe Version 2

The main difference between this one and yesterdays card is that I have added another little snowman. I had to mirror stamp the image and I thought this would be difficult but it wasn't. I used the acetate from the stamp set, stamped the image and then just turned it over onto my card and rubbed, yes it really was that simple.

Hunky-dory Snow globe Version 1

This year Hunky-dory have really become one of my favourite stamp companies, there designs and price point make them a firm favourite for sure. I always watch the month release on Facebook live and I knew as soon as they showed this set I would need to have it.

Before you ask, yes I am obsessed with snow globes and jars lol. Although to be fair I never seem to make cards with them just collect them so you wouldn't know how many are sitting in my craft room lol.

Pizza Passion

I have been wanting this stamp set since it was released but I kept telling myself I didn't need it. In the end the need to make this card was too strong and I gave in and ordered it. I am so glad I did as well as it is even better than I hoped or expected.

I am very impressed with the quality of these sets especially for the cost, so if you are hesitating I say go ahead and buy you won't be disappointed.

I did add a sentiment after I took the photo and I totally forgot to take another one before I sent it out.

Cheers to You

I seem to be addicted to the new range of stamps from Hunky-dory, this is the first of my second set of three and I have just seen the newest ones and I need them all. I am a fan of cute but there are certain people that you can't send that to so more realistic is the way to go.

Once i had coloured the large images I couldn't find any paper that matched so I made my own, with the smaller images in the set this was a doddle. I do find sitting and colouring a background to be very therapeutic.

I am entering the snippet playground as the black card was actually the packaging from stencils I bought at the newbury craft show in January. I have used this card before and I am sure I will do again.

Floribunda

I recently bought a few sets of stamps from Hunkydory, this wasn't somewhere I would have normally looked but I saw a card on Pinterest and then I had to find the ingredients to make it. If you are thinking this is the card then you would be mistaken, yet again this was the oh look 3 for 2 offer which set shall I get free set. And yet again it's the first card made with the stamps. Not sure why I always do that, I can't wait to get my hands on a set then as soon as it arrives I use something else I bought either as a to get to free postage item or a oh it looks ok set.
