Cross and Dove Card - TMS #609
Well... it's Tuesday again and time to start a new sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. This weeks sketch is designed by Melissa Craig and it's a nice open design. I needed a sympathy card, so I made this Cross and Dove Card. The image is by Divinity Designs and it was colored with Copic markers. An embossed frame was placed around the edge and then matted to a piece of green cardstock. Then the sentiment was generated on the computer. The final touch was adding the blue punched circles that I lightly stamped with polka dots. That's it! We would love for you to join us this week! Sympathy Card with Enamel Cross
Hello and thanks for stopping by my blog today! I would like to share my latest handmade card, it's a Sympathy Card with Enamel Cross. It's been awhile since I've made a sympathy card, but unfortunately this week I need one. I had a couple of sympathy cards in my stash but they weren't what I wanted for this recipient, so I made something more appropriate.
The retired Trefoil Cross was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink, fussy-cut and then was heat embossed using Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel by Ranger. I used a new to me stamp set for the flowers called Watercolor Flowers by My Favorite Things. The ink colors used include: So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Hello Honey, Wisteria Wonder, Rich Razzleberry, Blissful Blackberry, Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive all by Stampin' Up!. Once the flowers were stamped I used the coordinating die set with my Big Shot. I adhered everything onto a white swirl embossed background that was created using a Cuttlebug embossing folder. That last detail was adding the stamped butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set by Stampin' Up! I decided to leave a sentiment off the front and stamped the inside with a sympathy message.
Many find making sympathy cards difficult, but if you create something from the heart you can never go wrong.

Trefoil Cross Easter Card
Happy Easter! My family will have to forgive me this year for neglecting to send them Easter cards. I was in a car wreck the end of January that totaled my vehicle and my back has been hurting ever since. It makes it hard to sit at my craft desk for long periods of time and therefore I only made a couple of Easter cards this year. I guess I'll send everyone a link to this Trefoil Cross Easter Card to let them know I was thinking about them.
Most of the supplies for this card are by Stampin' Up!. The two exceptions are the Spellbinders oval die and the Easter Sentiment by Studio G. I tend to always use a mix of retired and new supplies when making a card. The Trefoil Cross is retired but it's one of my favorites and I stamped it using Blackberry Bliss ink. A new patterned paper from the Occasions Catalog was used on the bottom, it's called Painted Blooms and I paired it with the retired Daffodil Delight polka dot from the Designer Series Paper Stack. The Wild Wasabi paper strip was embossed using the Fancy Fan embossing folder and I added a punched butterfly with a three pearls for detail. That's it!

Trefoil Cross Sympathy Card
Hello! I'm back again with another card. The challenge this week at 'ABC' Challenges is to create a sympathy card to remember those lost on 9/11. In a couple of days it will be twelve years that many innocent people lost their lives. Many grieving hearts were created that day and my heart goes out to each of them this week.
This Trefoil Cross Sympathy Card was made using the Venetian Romance dsp, Trefoil Cross stamp, Love and Sympathy stamp set and Pretty Print embossing folder all by Stampin' Up! I used the Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel again on the cross. Here is the tutorial if you missed my last link. Thanks for stopping by!
