Birthday Card with Owl
Hello! Today I'm sharing a card I made for my niece's 19th birthday. It features an owl Art Impressions stamp that has been in my stash for ages, but never used. The owl was colored with Copic markers and then fussy-cut. To create the layers I used the Scallops & Rectangles nesting dies from Unity Stamps with some older birthday patterned paper by Echo Park. Three sequins were added for some sparkle and the number 19 for detail. Everything was adhered flat and that's it. Thanks for stopping by!

Hoots For You Card
Good day! It's been awhile since I've played along at Inky Paws. Their current challenge is a color challenge, so I though I would give it a go and this Hoots For You Card is what I created. The stamp set used is called Love Owl-ways by Newton's Nook and I also used their cloud stencil. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was die cut with the coordinating dies. Some glossy accents were added to the eyes of the owl. The paper layers were cut with the Newton's Nook Frames & Flags die set and everything was adhered flat. Well, that's about it. I appreciate you stopping by and hope you have a wonderful day.

Thanksgiving Owl Card - TMS #631
Oh my... the end of the year is going by way too fast!!! My hubby had ankle reconstruction surgery last Monday and taking care of him is a full-time job. Thankfully I still have time to make cards!
This Thanksgiving Owl Card was made using this weeks sketch at Tuesday Morning Sketches. When I finished my Halloween cards I went straight to Christmas and left out Thanksgiving. So, I dug out the Bountiful Owl stamp set from Unity Stamps for this weeks sketch challenge. The design team created a variety of inspiration and we would love to see how you use the sketch. For all the challenge details and design team inspiration click HERE. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by!🦃

Joy Owl Card - TMS #624
Good day! This time of year it can be hard to focus on one holiday. One day I feel like making something for Halloween, the next it's Christmas or possibly Thanksgiving. There is no method to my madness! So, this week I used the Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge to create a pair of Christmas cards. I thought the sketch was perfect for the owl image by Pink & Main. Plus, when I designed this sketch the idea of using two pieces of 6 x 6 patterned paper was on my mind. The polka dot piece was cut at 4" and the red cut at 2", that gives you the opposite pieces leftover for a second A2 size card. We would love for you to join us this week! The design team created some wonderful inspiration with a variety of occasions. For all the challenge details and to see the design teams creations click HERE. Just remember to link your creation by 8 pm EST on Sunday. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🎄

Glowing Spooky Card
Good day! I think Halloween cards that glow in the dark are extra fun. So, I cut out the Spooky word die with glow in the dark paper. This Glowing Spooky Card is a mini slimline design which is 3.5" x 6". The owl and the ghost images are from the retired stamp set by Newton's Nook called Boo Hoo. Using the flying bats stencil by Newton's Nook with black distress ink and gray cardstock for the background. A tombstone from the Halloween Party stamp set by Hello Bluebird was added along with some black die cut grass and that's it. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping. This was a pretty easy card, so I plan on making multiples for family and friends. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!🦇

Owl Birthday Card
Happy Wednesday! I have a quick post to share this Owl Birthday Card that I made using the Birthday Bash Sketch at Catch The Bug. The image is called Cute Owl by Bugaboo Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. Since the image has flowers I decided on floral paper from the Sunshine and Blue Skies paper pad by Simple Stories (2019) along with a blue polka dot by Bo Bunny. Everything was adhered flat and the sentiment is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called Avant-Garden. I'm also entering this card in the All About Occasions challenge at Watercooler Wednesday. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Blooming Fantastic Card
Good day! The July heat is setting in and that means I stay home a lot more than usual. Although with the pandemic I've already been staying home most of the time, so it won't be too different. My hubby has done all the grocery shopping since March and he doesn't want me to run errands unless it's absolutely necessary. I hope you are doing well and staying safe! 😊
Yesterday I found a new to me challenge called Festive Friday and they provide a list of several creative choices and you pick 3 to create your project. I used: green, polka dots and flower to create this Blooming Fantastic Card. The image is Lil' Bloomin Owl by Unity Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. A mix of papers were used but my favorite is the daisies. I'm pretty sure I bought the Country Kitchen paper pad by Carta Bella (2017) just for the daisy paper. To finish the card I added a punched daisy and leaves along with a little yellow butterfly. That's it, a cheerful and bright card that would work for several different occasions. So glad you stopped by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

You're the Sweetest Card
Happy first day of Spring! We received a good rain storm last night and now the sun is shining and the birds are chirping. It's turned into a wonderful day! I'm looking forward to the return of the flowers🌺, so I used a pretty floral patterned paper from the Love Notes paper pad by Doodlebug Design on this You're the Sweetest Card. The image is from Unity Stamps and it's called Springtime Owl and I think it's just darling. Copic markers were used to color the image and a stitched square die to cut it out. Some twine for detail and that's it. I hope you are staying well during this crazy virus! My hubby was lucky to find some toilet paper yesterday at the store, so we should be good for at least another week. Take care and thanks for stopping by!

Love Owl Card - TMS #540
Welcome back to the start of another Tuesday Morning Sketches revisited sketch from 2019. This week is LJ's pick and she chose sketch #517 from last August. You can see the original challenge post HERE. My card from last year featured a stamp by Unity Stamps, so I decided to use another Unity Stamp on this card. The owl image is from the My Kinda Favorite Owl stamp set and it was colored with Copic markers. Most of the patterned papers are from the French Kiss paper pad by Doodlebug Design with the exception of the punched hearts that paper came from my scrap bin. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that pretty much sums up this Love Owl Card. We sure hope you will join us this week! Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration. You have until Sunday at 8 pm EST to link your creation.

Because of the Brave Card
Good day! It's Veteran's Day here in the United States and I made this Because of the Brave Card to mark the occasion. When I think about all the sacrifices made by the soldiers and their families throughout the history of our nation it's always emotional. Saying thank you doesn't seem like enough!
The image and sentiment on this card are from the Home of the Brave stamp set by Jessica Lynn Original and Copic markers were used to color the image. The papers were selected to coordinate with the colored image and three stars added for some sparkle. Everything was adhered flat for easy shipping and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

The focal area of the sketch was perfect for the Springtime Owl image by Unity Stamps. Copic markers were used to color the image and then it was matted to a piece of Garden Green cardstock by Stampin' Up!. The patterned papers are from the Flora No. 2 paper pad by Carta Bella. Owl Wish Card
Good day! I hope you've had a lovely weekend. We didn't do much, ran errands, did laundry and went to the grocery store. Nothing too exciting! However... I did find a local store that received a shipment of Crate Paper & Echo Park 6 x 6 paper pads for $2.99 each and that was pretty awesome. Not that I need more paper but it's hard to turn down a good deal.
This afternoon I made this Owl Wish Card using the Owlie Wishes Sentiment Kit from Unity Stamps. The image was colored with Copic markers and die cut with a stitched circle die by My Favorite Things. Two patterned paper circles were die cut using some really old patterned paper by DCWV called Linen Closet. I thought the pattern coordinated well with the little dandelions on the stamped image. To accommodate the larger image size I made the card a little bigger than usual. The finished size of the card is 4.5 x 6.25. That's it! Thanks for stopping by!

Owl Just a Note Card
Hello! I hope you're having a lovely day. This afternoon I made this Owl Just a Note Card to add to my stash. After layering the patterned papers by Echo Park (For the Record 2 from 2012) I decided to add some stitching for detail. The Cute Owl image is by Bugaboo Stamps and it was colored with Copic markers. A retired sentiment from Stampin' Up! was used and three glimmer dots added for some sparkle. That's it!

Sending Smiles Card
This past week flew by! Unfortunately I had migraines three days in a row and they zapped all creative energy. I'm feeling better today, so I made this Sending Smiles Card just in time to enter the Inky Paws sketch challenge. I'll be sending this card to Wild Heart Ranch a rescue and rehabilitation group in NE Oklahoma. They have been very busy with over 500 baby animals in their care. They take in all kinds of wild animals: deer, owls, rabbits, possums, raccoons, eagles, beavers, foxes, bobcats, squirrels, etc. I really enjoy following their stories and have great admiration for their cause.
The owl on this Sending Smiles Card is from the Sending Hugs stamp set by Newton's Nook. It was colored with Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies. The floral paper is from the Family Ties paper pad by Pebbles and it was matted to Dapper Denim cardstock by Stampin' Up!. Some retired Island Indigo twine was added and the focal area was adhered with dimensionals. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day.

Brentwood Coffee Time Card
It really seems crazy this year is almost over! This month I've been pretty busy and haven't had much time for crafting. Honestly, I haven't even started my Christmas shopping. Since I really don't like shopping and I'm not coming up with ideas for gifts... I just haven't even attempted going to the stores.
This Brentwood Coffee Time Card was made for the 2017 Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I used the limited edition freebie image from Jessica Lynn Original which can be found HERE. Copic markers were used to color the image. Papers include a fun diagonal stripe by Pebbles and coffee bean paper by Doodlebug Designs. The design is simple with twine and sequins for embellishment and that's it. Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Bountiful Owl Cards
This year I didn't make as many Thanksgiving cards as usual. It seems crafty mojo and time were both issues. Last night I realized just how few cards I had, so I quickly made these two Bountiful Owl Cards to get in the mail this morning. The image is one I recently bought from Unity Stamps called Bountiful Owl and it was colored with Copic markers. The stamp set comes with thirteen different sentiments to choose from. With time being a factor I went with simple layouts and paper scraps from the Woodland Forest paper pad by Pebbles. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy Owl Coffee Card
This afternoon I really debated between taking a nap or drinking more coffee to make a card. The coffee and card making won! I couldn't resist using the cute Happy Fall digital image by Craftin Desert Divas. It's been featured on several cards in the Fall Coffee Lovers Blog Hop and I think it's just adorable!
To color the image I used Copic markers and then used a stitched square die cut by Lil' Inkers. All patterned papers are from the Flea Market paper pad by Doodlebug Design. Cardstock colors include Bermuda Bay and Pumpkin Pie by Stampin' Up!. The sentiment is from the Stamplorations Coffee Happy stamp set by Shery Russ Designs and was stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Three green sequins were added for some sparkle and that's it. This Happy Owl Coffee Card is also entered into the following challenges: Allsorts (Feels Like Autumn) and 2 Crafty Crazies (Feature a Creature). Graduation Card with Flowers
Before making this Graduation Card with Flowers I did a quick image search to see other handmade graduation cards. I was surprised how few had flowers. The recipient is the daughter of one of my cousins, so I wanted the card to be youthful and pretty. Of course there had to be some element of graduation, so I used the cute graduation owl by Gerda Steiner Designs. The owl was colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and then adhered to the white stitched circle die cut. A little punched branch and stamped flower add some detail along with the congratulations die cut by Impression Obsession and three sequins for sparkle. The floral paper is retired by Stampin' Up! and the yellow is by Recollections. That's it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your day!

Owl Graduation Card
Hello! Today is the start of a new challenge at Simply Create Too and this month we want you to use a Digi Stamp. That's a pretty easy challenge, so I hope you will play along and link-up your new creation. Click HERE for all the challenge details and design team inspiration.
While deciding which digi stamp to use on my card I received a graduation announcement for one of my younger cousins. He is graduating high school, so I decided to use this Graduation Owl image by Gerda Steiner Designs. The image was colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut to allow his foot to sit on top of the punched branch. The Congratulations paper and diploma paper are by The Paper Studio. I added a strip of woodgrain paper by Stampin' Up! and then matted the patterned paper to a piece of brick red cardstock by Bazzill. Then the focal circle was adhered flat to the paper. I'll be mailing this card so I didn't want to add any lumps or bumps. That's it!
