Urquhart Castle And Loch Ness, Isle

EXPLORING ISLE OF SKYE...

IN this post, it is all about Urquhart Castle and the famous Loch Ness in Scotland.  One of the Scotland's largest castles is Urquhart, it is a 500 years as a medieval fortress.  And the Loch Ness is one of the most famous lochs in Scotland, once upon a time it is immortalised by the Loch Ness Monster.

Aaron stopped the car nearby and we went down for a nice long walk to admire the breathtaking and mesmerizing scenery.  On the way to the castle, we saw photographers taking pictures of a newly married couple with their faithful doggies.  This place is highly recommended, it is too good to be missed....

Yes, Scotland is about castles and lochs...
everywhere we go, we see the greens, the blues and the greys...
More pictures of us in the next post!

Sight Seeing At Portree Village

CHECKED OUT...

The vert next morning we went to town for sight seeing since it was already dark when we finished our dinner the day before.  Wasting no time, we set out early to the village of Portree, the capital of the Isle of Skye.  It is situated on the east side of Skye overlooking a sheltered bay, surrounded by hills. We parked our car and walked around, taking pictures as we strolled along...
We entered a few shops while walking and got some souvenirs...
Along the bay area...
So very beautiful at different angles... shades of light...
Like what I used to paint during my younger days...
Blue seas and skies... and yachts....
Looks like someone is looking for fish and chips!
And we got it!!
Anyone wants to check in to the Pink Guest House?
Our faces here and there...
Time to move on after all the standings have been done...

Holiday Home Craigh Na Dun, Portree

ONE NIGHT STAY...

After the seafood dinner, our adventure began... Looking for our AirBnB in the dark up the mountains was no joke.  While driving up the hill using the GPS to lead us to the cottage, the signal went off in the middle of nowhere.  No street lights and just the car lights, Aaron managed to maneuver the car safely, yes, credit to the co-pilot beside and two more co-drivers behind the driver himself.  As for yours truly, I was snoozing once again after the heavy dinner.... I could hear voices at the back of my mind though but I was feeling kind of confident, I know we could get through this somehow.... I just have to lay back and closed my eyes.... prayerfully!

Yes, we made it to the holiday home in the dark!  Upon entering the cottage, we were all mesmerized by the beauty and deco of the cottage called Craigh Na Dun.... someone commented that he would love to stay there for the rest of his life!!  LOL... After choosing our own rooms, (there were 3 this time), we refreshed ourselves.... by then I was wide awake and fresh.... and we had a good time relaxing by the fireplace till our eyes could no longer open....

The next morning, someone woke up early and walked around the area... First of all, all of us were thankful that nothing happened the previous night, our cottage was indeed down a slight slope... phewww... next time we better come during the broad daylight and not when it turns dark....  Other than that, the garden and the surrounding area was indeed very beautiful, just like living in a modern farmhouse, with cows, goats and chickens... just around the neighbourhood...
These greeted us in the morning!
Just like in the books Enid Blyton!
Main door leading into the house...
Leading to the living hall...
Living hall...
Master bedroom...
With attached bathroom...
Two rooms similar to this...
And a very big kitchen!
The next morning we walked around the area...
The white cottage is where we stayed for the night...
If opportunity arises, we would like to come here again.. and again!
With Our faithful Red Babe which faithfully carried us around for hundreds of miles....
