Village Aparment Maisonette en Mithyos (Creta)…comfort y vistas con el mejor trato

Todavía no os he mostrado ninguna de las fotos de nuestro viaje a Creta de finales de Junio. Necesito un poco de tiempo y GANASSSS de descargarlas y editarlas pero con estos calores que estamos teniendo no me apetece demasiado pasar mucho tiempo frente al ordenador.

Lo que si ya os puedo avanzar es que fue un viaje simplemente maravilloso. Creta es una isla interesantísima desde muchos puntos de vista (histórico, cultural, arqueológico, paisajístico, gastronómico…) y lo cierto es que  por sus grandes dimensiones y lo mucho que tiene que ofrecer nos quedaron muchas cosas en el tintero así que estamos deseando volver… y cuanto antes mejor.

Hoy os quiero recomendar encarecidamente el apartamento que alquilamos a través de Airbnb.

Se trata de la Maisonette 1 en Mirthios, un pequeño pueblecito de montaña del sur de la isla pero con vistas fantásticas a la bahía de Plakias.

Por las fotografías ya veréis que se trata de un apartamento muy coqueto y cuidado al detalle , con una decoración muy fresca y unas vista de infarto. Dispone de dos habitaciones y dos baños, aire acondicionado (fundamental para el calor de Creta) y wi-fi gratuito. Pero lo mejor es lo que no se ve. El excelente trato que recibimos por parte de nuestros caseros. Atentos y presentes en todo momento no sólo resolvieron de forma diligente nuestra necesidades sino que además a pesar de ser un apartamento realizaban la limpieza de los baños y cambiaban las toallas a diario y cada tres días cambiaban las sábanas. I know that I haven't shown you the photos of our trip to Crete of last June yet. I must confess that I haven't even downloaded the photos but I'm very very lazy in these extremely hot days in Barcelona. I don't feel like spending too much time at the computer.

The first thing I can say  is that it was a wonderful trip. Crete is a very interesting destination. It's very attractive from different points of view (historic, archeological, gastronomic… etc). The thing is that because of its size some of its main attractions were left out of our plans so we can't wait to go back as soon as possible.

Today I would like to recommend to you this fantastic apartment we rented on Airbnb located in Mirthios a little mountain village but with amazing views to Plakias bay.

As you can see in the photos it's a nice and cozy apartment with gorgeous views. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms,  air conditioning (something essential during summertime in Crete) and free wi-fi.

But the best part is what you can't see in the pictures. The wonderful treatment by the staff. They were always kind and helpful and although it is an apartment they offer hotel-style services such as the daily change of towels and cleaning of bathroom and changing sheets every three days. Hotel comfort plus the independence of an apartment.

Alojamiento en Bologna: Casa Anna

Lo prometido es deuda y hoy os traigo las fotos del apartamento que alquilamos a través de Airbnb durante nuestra escapada a Bologna.

Como ya os comenté en la entrada anterior siempre que es posible alquilamos apartamentos durante nuestros viajes porque resulta todo  mucho más cómodo. Y una vez más confiamos en Airbnb y fue todo un acierto.

Casa Anna es un acogedor apartamento, ideal para cuatro personas aunque puede alojar incluso a 6. Dispone de dos habitaciones dobles, cada una con su baño, una cocina equipada, comedor, salita con TV, wifi y todas las comodidades que nos hicieron sentir realmente como en nuestra propia casa.

El apartamento se encuentra algo alejado del centro de Bologna pero esto no os debe asustar porque está super bien comunicado gracias al bus nº 25 y a una parada de taxis … ambas justo en la puerta.

Elisabetta, su dueña, fue un encanto y es una persona atentísima y totalmente disponible. La  decoración como podéis ver en las fotos es bonita, muy cuidada y funcional y la limpieza impecable. Así que no dudo en absoluto en recomendaros este alojamiento si tenéis previsto viajar próximamente a la bonita capital de  Emilia Romagna.

As promised today I share with you some of the photos and information about the apartment we rented in Bologna during our last getaway.

We like to rent apartments because it make us feel at home during our trips and we usually find the apartaments to rent on the Airbnb website. 

Casa Anna is a cozy apartment suitable for four people although six can also be comfortably accommodated. It has two double rooms , both of them equipped with bathrooms, kitchen, dinning room, living room with Tv, wifi and all the amenities to make you feel like home.

Although the apartment is a bit out of the center it is very well connected by the bus number 25 and  taxi. The bus stop and the taxi station are just in front of the building.

Elisabetta, the owner, is kind and friendly,  the decor, as you can see in the photos,  is charming and functional. It is a fantastic apartament so I highly recommend this apartment if you're planning a trip to the capital of Emilia Romagna.

Alojamiento en Budapest: Mirage Fashion Hotel

Un último post dedicado a nuestro viaje a Budapest el pasado mes de diciembre.

Como siempre que viajamos os quiero dejar una pequeña reseña del hotel en el que nos alojamos por si os resulta útil en caso de que estéis programando un viaje a la capital Húngara. En este caso de trata del Mirage Fashion Hotel.

El Mirage Fashion Hotel de Budapest posee una localización óptima para el turista ya que se encuentra a unos 50 metros de la estación de metro de la Plaza de los Héroes (Hösök Tere - Línia1). Justo al lado se encuentra la citada plaza de los Heroes, los museos de Bellas Artes y el de Exposiciones Artísticas, una pista de hielo al aire libre, los jardines de Városliget, el Castillo de Vajdahunyad y el Balneario Scéchenyi, el más grande de Budapest. Además justo en frente el edificio de entrada a la pista de hielo se encuentra la parada del bus turístico Big Bus, del que ya os hablé y recomendé en un post anterior (AQUI), así que os resultará muy cómodo.

Como véis en la foto se trata de un antiguo palacete restaurado y en su interior encontraéis un hotel moderno, elegante y muy confortable. Además cuenta con un personal que fue amable y súper atento en todo momento.

Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas y están equipadas con TV, wi-fi gratuito, té de cortesía,  caja fuerte y mini-bar y un baño también de buenas dimensiones y una de las duchas con el agua más  gratificantemente caliente que recuerdo.

El desayuno es tipo bufete y aunque no es súper extenso si es muy correcto y de buena calidad.

¿Lo mejor de todo? Pues su precio.  Sí, si su precio ¿Os podéis creer que el precio de la habitación doble en este 4 estrellas cueste entre 50,-/55,-€ por noche con el desayuno incluído…? Bien… pues creéroslo.

This is the last post devoted to our trip to Budapest. 

As on other occasions I want to share with you the details of our hotel. This information can be useful if you're planning a trip to the Hungarian capital.

Our choice was the Mirage Fashion Hotel.

This hotel is in perfect location for tourists since it's 50 meters from the subway station (Hösök Tere - Line1) and close to  Heroes Square. There are a lot of important tourist attractions at less than 500 m from the hotel: two of the most important museums of the city, the Fine Arts Museum and the Artistic Exhibitions Museum, a huge outdoor iceskatingrink, the Városliget gardens, the Vajdahunyad Castle and the Scéchenyi spa, the biggest spa in Budapest. In addition to this, the bus stop of the touristic bus Big Bus (HERE) is just in front of the door of the iceskatingrink, so you'll find it convenient.

As you can see in the photo the hotel is a nice restored palace but inside you'll find a modern, elegant and comfortable hotel.  The kindness and friendliness of the staff is remarkable.

The rooms are very spacious and they're equipped with TV, free wi-fi, free electric kettle for tea or coffee and mini-bar.

The buffet breakfast is of a good quality although it is not very extensive.

Do you know what's best of all? The price! Yes, yes its price. Can you believe that a double room, breakfast included costs 50-55€ per night? …believe it!

Mediterranean Blue: un alojamiento bonito y sereno en Castellón

Os prometí algunos post atrás que os mostraría el apartamento que alquilamos mi hermana y yo durante nuestros fin de semana en Castellón.

No es la primera vez que os muestro un alojamiento encontrado en la web Airbnb (Si os perdistéis el alojamiento que alquilé en Madrid lo encontraréis AQUI), y además creo que ésta no será la última porque lo cierto es que mi experiencia con esta web ha sido hasta la fecha muy positiva.

En esta ocasión alquilamos un pequeño apartamento en una urbanización de Castellón. Era un verdadero remanso de paz gestionado por Romano y Mayte que además de hospitalarios son muy amables y comunicativos.

El interior del apartamento es pequeñito, todo nuevo, muy correcto y limpio.

As I promised today I bring the information and the pictures of the apartment we rented during our last trip to Castellón.

This time we rented an apartment located in a development close to Castellón. It is a haven of peace managed by Romano and Mayte, both very friendly and welcoming.

The interior is tiny, with modern facilities and very clean.

Pero es cuando uno pasea por el exterior que se convence de haber escogido bien. La zona de la piscina con un ambiente entre bohemio y marroquí es un placer para los sentidos. Sencillez,  buen gusto y mucho cuidado en los pequeños detalles. Además cuenta con una zona de barbacoa súper equipada para  poder disfrutar al 100% de la vida al aire libre.

Si  duda, una buena opción para alojarse durante los meses de verano y huir de la masificación de esa zona de costa.

But it's when one walks in the garden that realizes that this has been a good choice. The pool-area is decorated in a bohemian and Moroccan style. Mayte and Romano used their good taste and love for details to create a very pleasant garden. You can also use the barbecue to enjoy the outdoors.

Certainly it is a very good place to stay during the summer months and flee this over-built part of the Spanish coast.

Xenia Hotel: confort en Londres

Mientras pongo en orden todas las fotos de nuestra escapada a Londres (que son muchas) os paso la dirección del hotel en el que nos alojamos.

He viajado muchísimas veces a Londres y mi veredicto en relación a su sistema hotelero siempre era el mismo CARO Y MALO.

En esta ocasión reservamos el Hotel Xenia con Voyage Privé y fue todo un acierto.

Ya hace tiempo que no nos calentamos mucho la cabeza a la hora de viajar y contratamos siempre los hoteles con Voyage Privé y hasta la fecha su criterio de selección de hoteles nos convence bastante.

En esta ocasión se trata de un pequeño hotel-boutique en Cronwell Road (barrio de Earls Court).

Pequeño, coqueto, bien decorado… Puestos a sacarle alguna pega os diré que las habitaciones pecan de pequeñas (pero en Londres esto sudece a menudo) pero el resto de imputs positivos compensaban con creces: empezando por un magnífico emplazamiento a dos pasos de la parada de metro de Glocester Road, una atención exquisita tanto en el desk como en el resto de servicios del hotel, buena limpieza, un desayuno espléndido con servicio de carta y preparado al momento, amenities de Occitane, servicio de wifi gratuito, y un barman que prepara unos cocktails fantásticos.

I would like to share with you the information about our hotel in London while I try to put in order all the photos of this nice getaway.

I had traveled to London before and my verdict about its hotels was always the same: EXPENSIVE AND BAD.

But this time I changed my mind since we book our hotel through Voyage Prive website We've booked with them many times and I must say that their criterion is very good. This time we chose Xenia Hotel and it was an excellent choice.

This is a small boutique-hotel located in the heart of the Earls Court neighborhood  (on 160 Cronwell Road) close to the Gloucester Road metro station.

It's a small and cozy hotel. Maybe its main drwback is the size of its rooms (anyway I've seen that most of London's hotel rooms are very small) but the list of positive points compensates for this little objection: it is very well located, clean, attentive service, free wi-fi, a wonderful breakfast service, amenities by Occitane and there is a barman who prepares fantastic cocktails.
