New My Time to Craft Challenge - Oriental

There's a new challenge today on the My Time to Craft Challenge Blog and this time our theme is 'Oriental'.

Have a look here on the challenge blog for all the details and lots of inspiration.

To make my card I used a topper and backing card from Kanban - I've had them for years but I still think they look really cute!

I also used a Spellbinders die to cut the mat under the image and two flower punches to cut the little black and white flowers.

New Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Asian

We've got a new challenge today on the Ruby's Rainbow Challenge Blog and this time our theme is 'Asian' - you can find all the details about the challenge here on the challenge blog.

I've used a really old Kanban kit to make my card - the toppers and background card both came with the kit and I did have the designs in a pink colour way too.

I've kept my card very clean and simple to showcase the topper and the beautiful background card.

Birthday Marci

Here's a birthday card made with the 'Fancy Marci' stamp from La La Land Crafts.  I've used a base card from Craftwork Cards (decorated with punched dots) and paper from Kanban.  The plain and polka dot paper is on the same sheet so the colour matches perfectly.  To finish the card, I've added some white sheer ribbon and a sentiment circle from Craftwork Cards.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - 'free and easy'
I Love Promarkers - 'anything goes'

Birthday Flowers

This is another card made with the Little Claire Designs 'Single Flower' stamp which I really love.  I've used a Craftwork Cards scalloped card blank and some dotty lilac card from Kanban as my base and then stamped the image twice, matting on to purple and black paper.  To finish, I've added a stamped sentiment, some black and white gingham ribbon and some little black peel off dots.

I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Crafty Purple Frog - 'things of beauty' (second entry)
Divas by Design - 'florals' (second entry)
Paper Creations - 'lace or ribbon'
Crafty Ann's Challenge - 'use more than one image'
Fun at Fairy Knoll - 'birthday'
Craft Your Passion - 'anything goes'

Little Claire Designs - Another Preview!

Here's a preview of another of the new stamp sets from Little Claire Designs which are being launched next week on Create and Craft. This is the Christening set and this one has a door image and a 'view' which fits directly behind the door. I made a gatefold card and split the door image in two - half on each of the front panels - so the doors open to reveal the view inside. I put slits at either side of the main card, ran some ribbon along the inside and then attached the view to a separate panel inside to cover the ribbon (hope that makes sense!!). The card I've used on this one is from Kanban.

Christening Set - Second Card

This is the second card I made using the other two stamps that are part of the Christening set. I thought the little dress and hat were so cute that I wanted to make a card with them as the focal image - the 'stopper' is the little bible stamp and the wording is also from the set. The background card I've used for this one is from Kanban.

Sugar Nellie - Challenge 50

This is my entry for the current sketch challenge on The Sugar Bowl - the optional extra is embossing. I've flipped the sketch to fit in with my image which is one of the Gorjuss Girls stamps - coloured as always with Promarkers. The backing card is from Kanban and I've added some paper flowers and ribbon to finish the card. My embossing is on the stamped image (stamped with Versafine and then clear embossed) and also some dry embossing on the panel immediately behind the image.

First Card of 2011!

Here's my first card of the New Year made with one of the cute new stamps I bought recently from Lili of the Valley. The sentiment is from Visible Image - I really like the mix of font styles on it. I've coloured my image with Promarkers, die cut it into a circle and then layered it on to a scalloped circle. The backing card is from Kanban and the little flowers are punched. I'm entering this card in four challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - 'thank you'
Papertake Weekly - 'be thankful'

Last Minute Christmas

Yes, I'm still making Christmas cards! These three are made using Urban Belles toppers from Kanban and paper from Doodlebug. I'm entering them in the the Allsorts challenge where the theme is very appropriately 'last minute Christmas'.

Crafty Creations - Challenge 97

This is one of my quick 'last minute' cards made with a decoupage topper from Kanban - I think they're really cute! I've added some gold paper round the topper image, paper from Dovecraft and some peel off dots. The sentiment was included on the sheet with the topper. I'm entering the card in the current challenge at Crafty Creations which is 'a beary project'.

Charisma Cardz Challenge 47 - One for the Girls

The theme on the Charisma Cardz Challenge Blog is 'One for the Girls' so I immediately thought of this little cutie from Pink Gem Designs! She's been coloured with Promarkers and then layered on to lilac and white Kanban card. I've added some paper flowers and a greeting from Craftwork Cards.

Thank You Card

I've made this card using a stamp from Wild Rose Studio - coloured with Promarkers and then layered onto silver card. I made my base card into a fold back card (I'm told it's called a 'kick card) and then layered Kanban card onto the base. The little circular sentiment is also a stamp from a Personal Impressions set. I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Raise the Bar - this week's theme is 'thankful'
Stamp Somthing - something with thanks
