LC Designs Classes - 21 January

A big thank you to everyone who came along to my two LC Designs classes yesterday - it was a very busy but fun day and I hope everyone else enjoyed it too!

I'll be sharing some of my class cards over the next couple of weeks.  This first one (at the top of the post) uses the new Sketchy Images 'Floral Bouqet' stamp which you can find here on the website.

The borders were cut using one of the dies from the Sweet Dixie 'Elegant Borders' die set which is here on the website.

Mid-Month Reminder Card for Craftyhazenut's Christmas Challenge Extra

Today I'm sharing my mid-month challenge reminder card for Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Challenge Extra.  Our challenges are always 'anything goes' as long as it's a Christmas project - you can find details of this month's challenge here in the original challenge post and see all the mid-month inspiration here.

For my card, I've used two of the images from the 'Festive Friends' Irresistible Images pack from LC Designs - you can find it here on their website.

I've decoupaged by elephant but cutting the image out of the second topper I used - you can see this more clearly in the photo below:

The paper I've used is from Craft Creations and the sentiment is a peel off sticker.

New CRAFT Challenge - Box or Bag

A brand new challenge started yesterday on the CRAFT Challenge Blog and this week our theme is 'box or bag'.  Have a look here on the challenge blog for all the details.

 For my project I've used one of the templates from the 'Assorted Pillow Box' set available here on the Cutting Cafe website.

I used the PDF template printed on to patterned card from Craft Creations and cut out.  The image I used is from the 'Cute Piggies' paper pack available here from LC Designs.

New Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge - Happy Birthday!

I'm sharing another of the cards I designed for my LC Designs November class.  I've used the Dinkies '3D Butterfly' stamp which you can find here on their website.  The paper I've used is from Craft Creations.  

I die cut the stamped image using one of the dies from the Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Circle dies (here on the LC Designs website) and then stitched round the outside of the circle.

Peace on Earth

This card was a special request from my Mum and is inspired by the Card-io workshop I went to a couple of weeks back.

The scenery was created with torn paper and a pale grey ink pad.  The church is an old Personal Impressions stamp and the animals are from the Card-io 'Festive Scene' stamp set.  The sentiment is from LC Designs.

Once I'd finished the stamping, I used a fine tip glue pen along the snow drifts and on the church roof with some Glamour Dust on top.

The silver and black papers are from Craft Creations.

GDT Card for Through the Purple Haze - Anything Goes

One of my cards was chosen for the top 3 in the last challenge on the Through the Purple Haze Challenge Blog and I was invited to be a GDT with them for two challenges.  Thank you for inviting me, ladies!

I'm sharing another of the cards I designed for my last LC Designs workshop.  I've used the very cute Dinkies 'Balancing Act' stamp which is available here on their website and coloured it with Promarkers.  The sentiment stamps are available here.

The card blank is available here and the paper I've used is from Craft Creations.  I've die cut some flowers and added some pearls to finish the card.

For my card I've used one of the toppers from the Festive Friends Irresistible Images pack from LC Designs which is here on the website.  I die cut the image into a circle.

I've used some gingham paper from Paper Cellar and then a piece of the Festive Friends paper to match the topper.

I added some gems and glitter glue to the image to finish the card.

New Crafting With Dragonflies Challenge - Get Your Christmas On

I'm sharing one of my cards which was featured in last month's Making Cards magazine - it was part of my article called 'Backgrounds on a Budget'.  I made the background for this card using cling film - all the details are in the magazine.

The stamp I've used is from LC Designs - it's not on sale at present.  I stamped it using Versafine ink and added some gems to the corners of the image panel and the middle of the star.
