Malaysian Muslims Demand Pope's Envoy Leave the Country

I don't know...I am constantly told that I have to be "tolerant" of Islam but no where in the world do I see a single Muslim being asked to be "tolerant" of Christianity - actually, it is quite the opposite...in most part of the world where Islam is dominant, Christians are hated and harassed and killed.  And now, in the Islamic country of Malaysia, the envoy to the country from the Vatican must leave the country per the majority of Muslims in Malaysia.

I guess we aren't going to see a group hug there soon.

KUALA LUMPUR: Several Islamic groups on Friday demanded the recall of the Vatican's first envoy to Malaysia, describing him as an "enemy of the state" after he supported the use of the word " Allah" by non-Muslims.

Dozens of protesters gathered outside the Vatican's mission in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Muslim-majority Malaysia, after prayers on Friday, urging the government to expel Archbishop Joseph Marino.

Marino, who arrived in Kuala Lumpur less than six months ago, recently elicited a rebuke from the government after he waded into a religious row over the right to translate "God" to "Allah" in Malay-language Bibles and other literature.

He had described arguments supporting the move put forward by the Catholic Church in an ongoing court battle with the government over the issue, as "logical and acceptable".

He was on Tuesday summoned to the foreign ministry over his remarks, and has since apologised.

It was not enough for some Muslim organisations in the country, however.

"Joseph Marino is an enemy of the state. His actions have strained race relations in the country," said Ibrahim Ali, president of right-wing group Perkasa.

Ibrahim has previously drawn controversy by calling for the burning of the Bible.

"Marino must leave Malaysia," said Hasan Ali, the head of Islamic group JATI, who urged the government to close the mission and not to accept any envoy from the Vatican.

The government has argued that the word "Allah" should only be used by Muslims, as it fears using the word in Malay-language Bibles is an attempt to confuse and proselytise.

On Thursday, a Malaysian couple known for publishing a sexually explicit blog were charged with sedition and denied bail after they caused outrage with a prank Ramadan greeting on Facebook that showed them eating pork -- which is forbidden in Islam.

Malaysia has more than 2.5 million Christians in a population of 28 million, of which about 60 percent are Muslim.

I just saw another headline at The Religion of Peace where some Arab cleric called the Europeans "barbarians" and my head kind of twitched....this coming after two Muslims beheaded and disemboweled a British man on the street and now, it is known that a 40 year old Muslim from Malaysia raped a 12 year old girl then decided to marry her.

Beheading.  Rape a 12 year old girl.  And WE are the barbarians.

Child rape case sparks outrage in Malaysia



A 40 year-old Muslim man charged with raping a 12 year-old girl and marrying her in Malaysia says he sees nothing wrong with his actions under sharia or Islamic law.

"There are many cases of men marrying underage girls," restaurant owner Ruduan Masmud told reporters.

"I do not see how my case can be any different," adding it was "suka sama suka" or mutual consent acceptable under sharia law.

In a case that has outraged rights activists Mr Masmud, a father of four from his first wife, allegedly raped the girl inside a car parked by a road in Kota Kinabalu, the capital of the Borneo state of Sabah, on February 16.

But on April 18 the girl withdrew her accusation against the man in a police report and said they are in the process of him taking her as his second wife.

In subsequent court hearing prosecutors did not object to the case being withdrawn but said the man needed to settle the matter under sharia law.

The girl's father said Mr Masmud paid the family 5000 Malayasian ringgits ($1,708) in compensation and said he accepted the marriage.

"It is best for her that they get married. What else can I do?" he said.

Mr Masmud said he plans for the girl to finish her studies and then "take up a cosmetics course with his first wife."

After reports of the marriage emerged Sabah's minister for community and consumer affairs Datuk Jainab Ahmad said her ministry was questioning the validity of the marriage.

"As a mother, I am still puzzled: how could the father of the girl allow his daughter to be married to the man who had raped her?" she said.

"The girl was only 12 years and six months. I believe the victim is in a trauma. She should be protected instead of marrying the man who raped her."

The Child Rights Coalition Malaysia (CRCM), a group comprising seven child-related non-government-organisations, slammed the Sabah court for ruling in favour of the child marriage.

"It is unfortunate that marriage is seen as a solution for addressing the growing societal issue of rape," the coalition said in a statement.

"We strongly feel that the verdict may lead to more societal issues such as early marriage, teenage pregnancy and broken families rather than preventing such issues from happening in the future," it said.

"We also would like to assert our view that the child's

willingness (to marry) could arise from coercion, innocence or even threat which in all ways will impede the safety and positive well-being of the child."

The coalition is appealing to both the Sabah public prosecutor and Sabah's sharia court to reconsider the marriage application and decision to withdraw the rape allegation.

Yup, those Muslims like to get 'em young and it seems a 19 year old Muslim man in Malaysia was six years behind Mohammed in getting the youngest bride on the block when he just married a 12 year old Muslim girl.

Activists slam marriage of 12-year-old in Malaysia


KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysian activists on Friday slammed the wedding of a 12-year-old to her 19-year-old boyfriend, renewing their calls for the government to outlaw child marriages.

Nur Fazira Saad and Fahmi Alias married last week in northern Kedah state after the girl's father agreed to the union and an Islamic court granted permission, The Star daily reported.

"It is better for them to get married rather than doing something improper," Saad Mustafa, the girl's father, was quoted as saying.

But Ratna Osman, executive director of activist group Sisters in Islam, described the young couple's marriage as "shocking".

"I don't understand why this is allowed in a country like Malaysia... We are talking about a developed country," she told AFP. "The concern is that this is a child being married off... No parents should be doing this."

Child marriages are not uncommon in the conservative Southeast Asian country, where 60 percent of the population of 29 million people are Muslim.

Two years ago, the marriage of a 14-year-old Muslim girl to a 23-year-old schoolteacher triggered similar calls for reform.

Girls below the age of 16 must obtain the permission of Islamic courts, which regulate civil matters for Muslims. But activists say such permission is too readily granted.

There was another outcry in October when two men, aged 19 and 22, were released on probation after courts convicted them of statutory rape.

In both cases the girls, aged 12 and 13, had not been forced, lawyers said.

But activists slammed the judges for freeing the men, saying the question of consent should not have arisen as the victims were below 16.

Earlier this week, a high court overturned the ruling in one of the cases, jailing the 22-year-old man for five and a half years.

Malaysian Muslim Men Going To Brothels In Thailand Are Islamic Terror's Latest Target

I guess I wasn't exactly aware that the brothels of Bangkok, Thailand had been doing a booming business with Muslim men coming in from Malaysia but now the Malaysian government has warned all of the males from the country from traveling to Thailand...because islamic terrorists are bombing the hell out of them.

I guess this is the new form of "purity police" in Thailand ...Islamic terrorists planting bombs outside of bars and brothels in order to stop behavior that goes against allah. Unfortunately, as you saw above, the bombs don't exactly pinpoint just muslim "johns" but just about anyone that happens to be in the area at the time.

Muslim Women's Group Urges Malaysian Women To Be "whores in bed"

I'm sure there were just tons of women sitting around in Malaysia, beaming with satisfaction in being the whipping posts of the Islamic religion, that they decided to form the "Obedient Wives Club" and encourage all Malaysian women to follow suit and be more like whores in bed and more obedient to their husbands overall. I'm sure the women thought this angle up...all on their own. LOL.

I think if I was one of these Malaysian muslim women and had a husband who had four other wives...I'd just pay one of the dumber wives a little stipend to bed the pig every night in my place. But then again, I wouldn't be a very good wife, would I?

I'm wondering if the women's group N.O.W. here in America is in full agreement with this strategy of pleasing a man and keeping him from straying? Oh yeah, I forgot...women's groups in America haven't said a word critical of Islam in their entire history.

His bride Umuhani Lokman Hakim, 19, dressed in a golden white Arabic wedding gown, was unforthcoming when asked why she joined the club and would only say: "It is the right thing to do to keep the family together."

The club has come under criticism from Malaysian women's groups who say the onus on keeping a family together is being unfairly placed on women.

"With obedience comes submission, which may lead to domestic violence and marital rape," Women's Aid Organisation head Ivy Josiah told AFP.

"We should really be forming equality in marriage clubs," she added.

Women's rights group EMPOWER said the club was a step back for the progress of the equality movement.

"We cannot go back to caveman days where the man pulls the woman by the hair and takes her to the cave to have his way. We must recognise that women contribute a lot more than just being a sex toy," the group's executive director Maria Chin Abdullah told AFP.

Polygamy is legal for Muslims, who make up more than 60 percent of Malaysia's population, allowing Muslim men to take up to four wives.

In 2010, a study by a Muslim activist group found men in polygamous relationships find it difficult to meet the needs of all their wives and children, and that the result is often unhappy and cash-strapped families.

Not only were Malaysian muslims protesting a planned move of a Hindu temple to their muslim neighborhood but they were fined by the courts for their protest because they got a bit nasty with a cow. Apparently, in a muslim fit of anger over having an unwanted religious center erected in their midst (this is sounding a bit familiar, isn't it?)...the muslim protesters stomped and spat on the head of a cow...trying to intimidate the Hindus by abusing a sacred symbol

Hmmm....I guess in the muslim world, "what's good for the goose, is good for the gander" doesn't exactly apply does it?

Malaysian court fines 12 Muslims over cow's head protest+


KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 (AP) - (Kyodo)—A Malaysian court on Tuesday fined 12 Muslim men and sentenced one to a week in jail for participating in a protest over a Hindu temple that involved a cow's head.
The 12 were among some 50 Malay-Muslims who demonstrated on Aug. 28 outside the Selangor state government's office in its capital Shah Alam to protest against the government's decision to relocate a Hindu temple to a Malay-Muslim majority neighborhood in the city.

They threatened bloodshed and stomped and spat on the head of the cow, an animal that is sacred to Hindus.

Malay-Muslims make up some 60 percent of Malaysia's 27 million population, with the rest comprised mostly of ethnic Chinese and Indians who are Christians, Buddhists, Hindus and Sikhs.

The Shah Alam Sessions Court fined the 12 men 1,000 ringgit (about $312) each after they pleaded guilty to a charge of illegal assembly. Any public gathering of more than five people without a police permit is deemed illegal in Malaysia.

Of the 12, the one who brought the cow's head to the protest and another who stepped on it also pleaded guilty to sedition. Both were fined an additional 3,000 ringgit, with the one who brought the cow's head being sentenced to a week in jail.

During a hearing on a bail application, the defense lawyer, Sallehuddin Saidin, had told the court, "My clients did not intend to insult other religion. For the Malays, a cow is a symbol of stupidity and not meant to offend any religion."

The Hindu temple has since been relocated to another area.

The incident is one in a series of interfaith disputes that has widened the gulf between Muslims and non-Muslims in the country.

Early this year, the country was rocked by a spate of firebomb attacks on Christian churches.

Malaysian Muslims Burn Swedish Flag During Protest of Reprinted "Arf Said Mo" Cartoon

Once again, we see muslims all over the world going apeshit due to a cartoon published in a scandinavian country - this time it's muslims in Malaysia that protested the reprinting of a Swedish 2007 cartoon of Mohammed that portrayed him with the body of a dog.

I guess this is all a good example of muslims in a country which doesn't really have to deal with a typical radical islamic terror uprising just not being able to resist some reason to take violence to the streets.

"Don't insult Prophet Mohammad," said one of many banners carried by the protestors that were mainly from the opposition Pan Islamic Party and various Muslims groups.

"We demanded the Swedish government take strong action against the newspapers that printed the caricature and also to take strong action against the artist," PAS official Sabki Yusuf told the crowd. "It is unacceptable what they did to our Prophet."

Dozens of riot police were on guard around the embassy that is located inside a high-rise office building near the iconic Petronas Twin Towers.

Protestors later burned a Swedish flag before dispersing.

The black-and-white sketch by Swedish artist Lars Vilks that was made in 2007 gained international attention after it was published by Swedish newspaper Nerikes Allehanda.

The Malaysian government has demanded the Swedish government take action against three Swedish newspapers that reprinted the cartoon early this month following the arrest in Ireland of seven people for allegedly plotting to assassinate Vilks.

Vilks has a $100,000 bounty on his head that was placed by al-Qaida who also offered $50,000 for the death of Nerikes Allehanda's editor- in-chief Ulf Johansson.

Foreign Minister Anifah Aman, in a statement, had said the country was concerned that such "despicable acts disregard the sensitivity of the Muslim world in the name of freedom of expression."

The protests echoed the uproar caused in Denmark by the publication in September 2005 of 12 drawings focused on Islam, including one showing the Prophet Mohammed with a turban in the shape of a bomb.

Sharia Law Comes To Malaysia...Let The Canings of Women Begin!

The people of Malaysia have allowed the islamists in that land to install Sharia Law and with that accomplished, the repurcussions have come quickly - especially for females as the purity patrol has been busy and the canings (beatings) of Malaysian women who aren't acting "properly" have commenced with a vengeance.

He even fabricated some of those contributions or accomplishments. Funny, I have yet to hear Barack Hussein Obama bring up how islam has liberated their women! I don't remember a single time when our President has stood up to the atrocities that islam imposes on women and girls. Not once.

Originally, Malaysia was a federal constitutional elective monarchy. The system of government in Malaysia was closely modeled on that of Westminster parliamentary system, a legacy of British colonial rule. Since independence in 1957, Malaysia has been governed by a multi-party coalition known as The Alliance.

Legislative power was divided between federal and state legislatures. The parliament consisted of the lower house, the House of Representatives (literally the "Chamber of the People"), and the upper house, the Senate (literally the "Chamber of the Nation").

The Malaysian constitution guarantees religious freedom. However, the jurisdiction of Shariah court is becoming more powerful over matters such as marriage, inheritance, conversion and child custody. Despite being the supreme courts of the land, the Civil Courts (including the Federal Court) in principle cannot overrule any decision made by the Shariah Courts.

Hishammuddin claimed that he decided to bring to public attention the punishment given to the three women because there had been “too much hype” over Kartika’s sentence.

“People are saying that no woman has been caned before and that Kartika should not be caned. Today I am announcing that we have already done it. There is no hidden agenda, we are merely executing our responsibility,” he stated during a press conference yesterday.

The staunch Muslim minister declared that the three women did not suffer any cuts or abrasions from their beatings but assured the media that the punishment had a rehabilitative effect.

“They have all repented. They are also hoping that others will not go against the teachings of the religion,” he said, adding that the sentence was meted out according to Islamic rules.

Last month, the three women were found guilty of fornication by the Federal Shariah High Court sentenced to public caning

Minister Hishammuddin assured reporters that one of the women was released last Sunday after spending a month in prison. A second woman is expected to be released later this week, while the third is serving the rest of her jail term and is expected to be freed in June 2010.

Malaysian officials with the Malaysia Penal Department claim they have advisors who are experts from the Islamic Development Department, the Shariah Law Department and the Federal Prosecutor's Office to make certain the sentences are carried out according to recognized Islamic law.

The ministry agreed on the procedure for the caning of Muslim women offenders for Shariah offenses on December 4, 2010.

“I hope there will be no more issues arising from the caning sentence which can be imposed by the Shariah Court on Muslim women to protect the sanctity of Islam,” Hishammuddin told reporters.

“Look at the message behind the punishment. Illicit sex could easily lead to other social ills such as abortion and baby dumping. The punishment serves as a proposed solution for other social problems," he added.

According to Saiful this is an attempt to "educate" rather than punish, and the

Malaysia Releases 9/11 Co-Conspirator Along With Six Others

In the span of just one month, the government of Malaysia has dealt the global war on terror a fairly sizeable set back and in doing so, basically has told the international jihad community, Come to Malaysia and make your terror plans here (sarc), as they have released a key conspirator in the 9/11 attacks and six other terror suspects. Malaysia has released a former army captain accused of helping the Sept. 11 hijackers and six other suspects who had been held without trial after deciding they no longer pose a threat, officials said Wednesday.
Three alleged members of the Southeast Asian terrorist group Jemaah Islamiyah, two suspected Thai separatists and two Malaysians accused of spying for foreign intelligence agencies were released separately between Nov. 24 and Dec. 4, said human rights activist Nalini Elumalai.
The most prominent among them is Yazid Sufaat, an ex-army captain who allegedly let several senior al-Qaida operatives, including two eventual Sept. 11 hijackers, use an apartment he owned for meetings in Malaysia in January 2000.

Can you believe it? I mean, let's really look at the Malaysian idiocy here:

"We consider them no longer a threat. They will not harm public order or security of the nation," Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar told reporters.

Oh boy, I don't know about you but I'm totally comfortable with that reassurance of Albar....NOT!

Apparently this doofus hasn't seen some of the actions of the Gitmo detainees who were released and in as little as two weeks after that, were in the middle of Iraq blowing themselves up and killing dozens of people. I'm sure the fact that Yazid Sufaat aided in attacks that killed 3,000 AMERICANS influenced his release - if he had helped kill one Malaysian citizen, he probably would still be behind bars.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) - Malaysia has released a former army captain accused of helping the Sept. 11 hijackers and six other suspects who had been held without trial after deciding they no longer pose a threat, officials said Wednesday.

Some of the seven released suspects had been held since 2002 under the Internal Security Act, which allows indefinite detention without trial of people whom the government regards as threats to national security.
"We consider them no longer a threat. They will not harm public order or security of the nation," Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar told reporters.
Security detainees undergo intensive counseling in a special prison, and the government has said they are only released if authorities are convinced that they have been "rehabilitated."
Nalini, the rights activist, said the three alleged Jemaah Islamiyah members, including Yazid, have to remain within their home districts and report regularly to police.
Yazid, a U.S.-trained biochemist, was arrested in late 2001 when he returned home from Afghanistan, where he was suspected of working on a biological and chemical weapons program for al-Qaida.
He has also been accused of giving a false letter of employment to Zacarias Moussaoui—the only person charged and convicted in the United States for the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001—that helped Moussaoui enter the U.S.
Security officials have said that Yazid described the program he was developing for al-Qaida as being in the "conceptual stages" when their plans were interrupted by the U.S.-led invasion of Afghanistan in late 2001.
Officials have said that Yazid was not at the meetings said to have taken place at his apartment and that the Sept. 11 attacks were not discussed there. However, they said that during informal chats, the future hijackers told their hosts that Southeast Asian militants were obliged to kill Americans and destroy American interests.
Syed Hamid said the two Thais, who were arrested in 2005, would be sent home. They were accused of unspecified links to violence in neighboring Thailand's southernmost provinces.

Christians Banned From Saying "Allah"

With the Religion of "Peace" it's just a never ending saga of absurdity. The Malaysian government has decided that Christians (and other infidels) cannot use the word 'Allah.'

Apparently a Catholic publication in Malaysia had the audacity to actually print the word in their newsletter and thus the word is now banned for Christians to use.

No word as to what the punishment is for a lowly Christian using that word of 'Allah', but I'll leave that to your imagination.

Christians banned from saying 'Allah'

A Malaysian newspaper is reporting that Christians in that Muslim nation are being banned from using the word "Allah."
"We cannot let other religions use it because it will confuse people," Malaysia's Deputy Internal Security Minister, Johari Baharum, told the DNAIndia publication.
He said "only Muslims can use the word 'Allah.'"
The issue erupted when a Catholic publication used the now-banned-for-Christians word.
Herald, the Catholic Church's weekly newsletter, used the word and was warned it is at risk now of losing its publication permit.

It is not right, Baharum said, for such a publication to use the protected word. "We cannot allow this … in non-Muslim publications," he said.
An estimated 10 percent of Malaysia's estimated population of 26 million is Christian, and a part of that segment is Catholic. Lawrence Andrew is editor of the Herald, and said "Allah" was not used to offend or confuse anyone.
He said the Malay-language Bible uses the word "Allah" for God, and uses "Tuham" for Lord."
It is not the first problem Christians have had in Malaysia, even though the nation's constitution calls for religious freedom.
The Wall Street Journal has summarized the plight of a Malaysian woman who converted to Christianity, but lost a court case seeking to have "Islam" removed as her religion on her identity card.
