Another not-so test post from Flickr. I really dig how the Flickr images appear, but don't like posting one photo at-a-time. Anyone know how to change that?
This is a tvp burrito, waiting to be rolled. The stuff that looks like mustard is really PPK testing cheez sauce, spicy style. There is also baby spinach, hot sauce and some leftover brown rice. The burrito is a whole wheat one from Garden of Eaten' organics.
For the tvp, I rehydrate it, then basically pan fry it, and eat it.

Recipe (based on one from the common ground grocery website)
Ingredients:
1 cup dry tvp
1 cup boiling water
3 tablespoons braggs, soy sauce, shoyu..
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 chopped jalapeno (I leave the seeds in)
2 cloves minced garlic
freshly ground black pepper
good dash each of oregano and cumin
3 teaspoons at least of taco seasoning (I use frontier organics in bulk)
Pour the water onto the tvp, and let sit for 10 minutes, until the water is absorbed. Sautee the garlic and jalapeno in the oil (can add chopped onion if you're into that) for 4-5 minutes. Stir in the tvp, braggs or soy sauce type item, spices and cook for 5 more minutes. Add more spices to taste. I don't like it *too* mushy so I cook it for about 10 minutes more, adding a little more oil if needed.
