AuBrynne Makes a Valentine's Mailbox

AuBrynne is SUPER excited for Valentine's Day!
She can't wait to share the love with all of her classmates!
She and I made a cute little mailbox to put all of her Valentine's into.

It started out like this:

To this:
I helped her get the ribbons straight, because we used the hot glue gun...
I thought we might spare the blisters on little fingers...
AuBrynne did AWESOME with the decoupodge part!
She made sure to get every part covered!
I am very proud!

AuBrynne Makes Sparkles for her Pop-pop

In an attempt to occupy AuBrynne for a few minutes over the weekend,
I pulled out an unfinished wood frame, a bowl of plastic sparkles, and some school glue.
A few minutes in, she decided she needed to send the project to her Pop-pop!
So, I threw a few photos in and I think it is perfect for Pop-pop!

Play Earrings

AuBrynne has been asking for earrings for days.
Now, every time I have thought about it, I cringe.
Poking holes in my baby's ears?! Come on, really? Who put this idea into your head, little one?
Now, I have had my ears pierced since I was a toddler in preschool, and I can't see how my parents dealt with it.  I can remember being on the playground and losing an earring and have the teachers help me find the tiny gold teddy bear earring. Back in the dark ages, they didn't have the "safety-back" earrings.
Well, I just can't do the whole permanent holes thing.
So, I went to Hobby Lobby and got these little clip on earrings:

They had these little sticky pads already on them, so I stuck some flat back plastic rhinestones on:

She likes them!  And I am telling you, they are magical!  When she has them on she acts like a little lady!  She will ride in the cart at the grocery store without hassle.  She doesn't even whine with these little gems on!  So, I think I will be letting her wear these whenever we go out!

Today, AuBrynne Makes

Today, I worked on a few things, but finished none.  So, no pictures of what I made.  But rather than showing you the giant mess AuBrynne can make in 17 seconds flat, I thought I would show you something cute that she made.

AuBrynne got to be an Artist today.
She even told me she needed an artist hat after a few minutes.
Anyway, too cute.

Ultimately, she managed to get the whole thing painted.  However, all the colors she used to mix together and layer on produced exactly the shade of wood this little bird house was to begin with.  But it kept her busy.
