National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month, and to celebrate, poets.org is offering a poem-a-day. Take a break from your studies to read a poem (or two). Poets.org also offers poems for every occasion and recently added a new category to the list: poems for times of turmoil.

National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry month and Poets.org (from the Academy of American Poets) is celebrating by offering a Poem-A-Day . For the month of April, Poets.org will send a new poem into your e-mail inbox. Or, you can take a break from your studies and read the poems in the Poem a Day archive.

Throughout the year, Poets.org can help you find poems for every occasion. Why not take a look at poems for graduation.

Strangers to Us All

Lawyers can be wonderful poets. If you don't believe me, take a look at Strangers to Us All, a web site dedicated to lawyers who are also published poets. The site includes chronological, alphabetical and geographical indexes of lawyer-poets; a section on Civil War lawyer-poets; and a list of contemporary lawyer-poets (with biographical information and links to online poetry). The site is constantly updated and alerts us to recently published books of poetry.
