Humorous Anniversary

This looks exactly like some of our RV friends - except most have "graduated" from this vintage-look trailer to something larger!  These pre-colored punch out images are part of the AI Pop-Up set.  The sentiment is computer generated.  The humorous verse is on the inside.  A couple of lines read:  "The chassis may be old and the fenders kinda rusty;   The tires may be bald and the windshield sorta nasty. . . you're in it for the short run and the long haul".  The card is 4.75x6.5.
Other supplies:  ribbon, pop dots, LifeTime Crafts woven embossing folder.

May you have a happy Easter blessed by the assurance of Christ's resurrection.

Bright & Bold Tilda

This is pretty bright and bold for Tilda...!  I have quite a few Tilda and similar images from members of Wish RAK at SplitCoastStampers - and I don't use them much - most of my clientele and recipients belong to a more mature group, and our grandkids are older. A friend gave me several coordinating sheets of DP, including this stripe and "blob".   I colored Tilda with Prismas, and added a ribbon and button.

Lots of green

I thought I should say in the title that this is green!  It certainly does not look green on my screen.  The base is what I would call kelly green, and the bg of the white swirls is kind of a dusky green.  That piece, by the way, is preprinted - another item from the Kamdam Lovely in Lace set.  (It was a huge set and there will be a lot of it - kind of nice for fairly quick cards.)  I fussy cut (well, sort of) along the right edge so IRL there is a bit of texture there.  The Scripture is a freebie from Word Art, cut with Labels4. The gems are pale green Rain drops (top left).

Easter Blessings

My Easter stamp is missing, but I think the Cheery Lynn Blessings die works - this card is for Easter.  The stamp is Cross and Blossoms by Paper Inspirations; I used a strip of shiny metallic gold that I have had for several years, the bg (the Lord's Prayer) is from Faith by Paper Studio; the mat is a shimmery burgundy.  I added a bit of Stickles to the blossoms - you probably can't detect it here.

Blessings - red and white

This is really outside of my usual style - but I really like the result - and SO easy!    I have a fairly large sheet of these red hearts - and a smaller piece of pink. These pieces were included in a huge box of supplies I bought at a store closing a few years ago - the new owner just wanted to get rid of "stuff" - lots of left overs from what must have been an invitation business.  The bottom line is that this red piece is going to last a long time - and this sketch was the perfect spot to use a bit!

Just for You

I am disappointed in the screen image - IRL the shades of pink (coral) look much better together.  Please use your imagination!  I used the coral shades, light tea, and silver from the ODB color challenge.
Other supplies:  ODB image from "Faith" set; sentiment from a set by TCP Studio, Blending Box ink by Dee Grunig; circle die; border punch; silver cord;  gems, DP from  Something Blue by Prima.

For Noah

Once again I am late for the Tuesday TeaPot Party at SplitcoastStampers - but I will get the card off today!  This week the destination is Noah, who is in rehab dealing with neurological problems.  He enjoys the quiet out of doors, and this is an attempt to bring a bit of that peaceful scene to his indoor space.
New:  first time to use this  Paper Pizzazz dp, and the first I have printed this verse from Word Art.
Neglected:  this quarter rounder punch has been in my collection since my first stamping efforts, but I often forget to use it until all the pieces are glued together!  The star punch is also somewhat neglected.
Not so new:  Cheery Lynn leaf punch; washi tape, solid cs, brads.

For Kyle

A friend asked me to make a card for her nephew.  I find teen boys hard - but this works for a computer addict!  The image was unlabelled in my downloads - I think it may be clip art.  Let me know if you recognize it!  I mounted the letters on orange - IRL there is more of a contrast.  The left strip is a double row of Washi tape.

Colorful get well

There are so many wonderful stamps and digis available - recently I have discovered http://freedeariedollsdigistamps.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2015-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&updated-max=2016-01-01T00:00:00-08:00&max-results=24 .   I have no connection, other than wanting to point out the availability.  This is a pre-colored freebie.

Herb Expressions for a birthday

New:  DP by My Mind's Eye (Adventure 6x6 pad)
Not very old to me:  HerbExpressions (SU)
Stash:  CB birthday folder, sequins, SU Mellow Moss ink
Notes:  I used white ink to swipe directly on the embossed bg for a bit of highlighting.
I have a stash of sequins that were in my late mother's sewing box.  They come in packages of over 500, with a price label of .19!  At the rate I am going the sequins I have will last another 30 years or so!

Heat embossed butterfly

I seldom use my collection of embossing powders, so appreciate a challenge to get me going!  I used silver embossing powder to give the butterfly a more elegant look.  In addition, I used a technique rare for me- fussy cutting.
Supplies:  Paper Studio dp, Costco black handmade paper; Cuttlebug birthday folder, also seldom used scalloped rectangle dies; MFP butterfly stamp.

Thank you in the new year

Happy New Year!  May 2015 be filled with blessings for you.  This is also a thank you to everyone who designs, supervises, comments, creates - and more - to keep the blog challenges going!
The actual card will go to my sister-in-law.  She will be having shoulder replacement surgery next week - several months ago had back surgery that really did not work well, so it is not easy for her.  Your prayers would be appreciated.  I know she appreciates my cards, so I enjoy making them for her.
I am going to try some new things, but also use some of my supplies that have been gathering dust!  For the color challenge (teal, dusty blue, navy, white)  Jo at Trimgym (See C.R.A.F.T. below) created several bg papers - they were freebies and much appreciated.  I used two of them on this card.  I also used a Hampton Art stamp, with a 7Gypsies library sentiment, and some ribbon I have had for a few years. I added glitter to the stamped flower (SU Night of Navy ink.)

Vintage a la Tim Holtz

Happy New Year!
This has little to do with the New Year, but I just now had a chance to try this vintage look.  The Vintage Journey challenge is Ring Out the Old, Ring in the New.  My take is to use some very old items, such as the floral strip - not sure what to call it.  I got a bunch of strips of felt like fabric at a yard sale, and forget to find a use for them.  The lattice metallic strip is also old.  For me, ring in the new is to really make an attempt at the Tim Holt style - with sponging, a muted earth tone color scheme, and a vintage style image.
For the Top Tip Tuesday challenge I made my own bg paper, with heat embossed image - from SU Stippled Stencil.  My tip:  to stop the fabric from fraying - I adhered scotch tape to the back, and trimmed it as I cut the banner edge.  I think it is working!  The image - SU Provencal.  Sponging - with Ranger Tattered Rose distress ink.  I also sponged several inks on the card base.  (FYI - the black is for contrast on the photo - not a part of the card.)
