Life is Sweeter - DT card for QKR Stampede ATG challenge #293

It is Friday, and time for another challenge at QKR Stampede - once again, anything goes.  You may enter as many as 3 times.  There is one category for using QKR/Eureka images, and another for any stamp.  We hope to see you!  Stop by and check out the inspiration by all the team members.
I dug into my stash and found some cute papers to back up this adorable image.  The tiny flowers are cut with Cheery Lynn dies, and I added a bit of Washi tape and a shiny gold strip.  Both the image and sentiment are from Eureka, a division of QKR.  IRL the backing is more orange than it appears on the screen.

SCS TeaPotParty #495

This RAK card will go to Linda who needs some encouragement. The weekly Teapot party cards go to some one in need of a bit of love.  This scripture from Word Art is perfect for that - thank you, Word Art!  I like this type of sketch as it gives me a chance to show off some pretty papers - this one, from Bo Bunny, just happened to have most of the design in the corner.  If you look carefully, there is a blue bird and I think I spotted some butterfly wings in the middle.  I added some extra punched butterflies.  Thanks to Tuesday AM DT member Patti for inspiring me to use the punched border.  See details of the TeaPot challenge here.

QKR Stampede Challenge #256 - Anything Goes: Option - Music

This angel with her harp is an adorable image from QKR Stampede - and I have chosen to use a matching sentiment.  The weekly Anything Goes challenge includes an option of "Inspired by Music". Take a look at what all the DT members have done HERE, and, if you click on the link to the shop, you can find all of the stamps we have used!  You may enter the challenge up to 3 times.  Winners receive digis.  Remember, the music theme is optional.
I used shiny markers for most of the coloring, and Twinkling H2O for her dress, so she is pretty shimmery!  Other items used include a Cuttlebug Stars Embossing folder, Washi tape, and square gold gems.

Strong Coffee

These images are part of a great freebie set from Verve - a great help for me as I do not have many stamps relating to coffee.  This is a great sentiment!  I colored the cup with Prisma coors.  DP is by Lily of the Valley, and the strips are Washi tape mounted on a layer of white cs..  The circles are dies by Spellbinder, as is the scalloped rectangle.  The original rectangle was too wide, so I made a second cut, by sliding the cs over a couple of scallops, then cutting.

Thinking of you - Vintage fall colors

We have a friend whose liver cancer seems to be diminishing, and she is feeling better - thanks to answered prayer and good medical prayer.  I want to send a note of encouragement.  I have a pad of DCWV papers called Heirloom - I liked the look of this for a bg.  And I am no good at stitching with a pen or needle, so I used some from a sheet of stickers for this one.

A Prayer for you

Here is another card for my "encouragement" stash.  A super easy sketch - thanks!  The bg DP does not show - it is from a Paper Studio stack, and has the Lord's Prayer.  Actually, I find this pattern hard to use - do not want to cover it too much, so I thought it would work with this layout.  I simply used those words as the sentiment.  The image is SU's Sassy Stems, colored with Spica glitter pens.

Happy New Year

I am planning to get involved in a limited card ministry at church - sending cards to those in special need of cheer or encouragement, so I want to have a bit of a stash available.  This verse came from Word Art some time ago. What a joy to know the glory of God - and to see evidence of His creation all around us.
I sponged chalk - it is a blotch here but IRL it is a pale aqua.  The DP has been in my stash a long time. I actually used up all the 4 mm. chocolate half pearls - I got several from Pizzazz Aplenty as one of my first prizes - a few years ago!

My help comes from the Lord

This is such an encouraging and supportive Scripture - from Verve.  This will be part of a series of cards I will give as a gift - our new pastor will have an open house and this should be a good housewarming gift.  The DP is Paper Studio.  I added some gold stickers from a sheet I have had a long time - there was a little embellishment opportunity and I took advantage!

This is the day

This is always a favorite verse, reminding us to be thankful for everything from day to day, and to rejoice in all that the Lord has done for us.  The challenge is to create our own background - I hope this SU embossing folder is suitable.  It i easy to see the dry embossing is one of my favorite backgrounds.  I stamped these images and left the stamps in our home for the summer - I forget where it is from.

Bless you

This RAK card is for a man who has severe health problems, but his faith is a big help to him.  I hope it will encourage him.  The Scripture is a digi, and the sentiment was sent to me.  I used a Halloween scene (Sizzix) for the tree, and covered the pumpkin with the sentiment.  The green cs and DP are from Amuse.  I cut the corners with edging scissors - used an inverted scallop.

May you be blessed

There are so many people in need of encouragement - this verse does just that.  The stamps are ODB - the sentiment from Happy Birthday and image from Faith.  I colored with Prismas, and trimmed a bit to fit the layout.  I have seen so many gorgeous cards with cut outs - I used a Fiskars punch to achieve this.  The embellishments are negative pieces.  The bg layer was put through the CB twice (different directions) to leave the smooth area for the sentiment.  When ever I do this there seems to be an uneven "seam" - the strips help hide that.

May you be blessed

I combined the encouraging verse from Our Daily Bread with the umbrella from SU Blooming with Happiness - the umbrella may not protect much from showers, but certainly brings pretty flowers. They have a shimmery look with metallic gel pens.  I added bits of lace and tear drop half pearls.

An angel to watch over you

I decided to use this angel on a spring like card - I have many friends who can use an encouraging word.  The image and Scripture are from the SU set On Angel Wings.  I used spring green cs and DCWV dp.  The embellishments are a gold cord, Spellbinders border die cut, and half pearls.

Encouragement this spring

This is one of many stamped items given to me by a friend who decided not to continue stamping.  Is it Unity?  I used two pieces of Basic Grey (Hopscotch) dp with a matching acrylicvbutterfly. as well as a bit of ric rac.
