I need to replenish my supply of generic thinking of you cards. I really like this sketch to display verses. Word Art has such a lovely selection This has been in my file since late 2014 The sentiment is from my computer. I used the heat gun to frizzle the ribbon ends, and used Labels dies for the "tag".

This is for challenge #229 at the Crafter's Cafe. You have two weeks to complete your entry, and there are several options: use a stencil, or Halloween and/or the colors purple, orange and black. As you can see, i used the colors for the Halloween theme. The sponsor is DeCosse's Dynamite Doodles, and I selected the following to complete my card:
Trick or treat bundle - textured papers - light purple grunge; dark purple grunge;
Trick or treat bundle - General elements - two pumpkins (upper left); green moon face and witch hat; happy Halloween sentiment
I used Spellbinder dies for the circles, and some ribbon from my endless stash.
I fussy cut the small images - good thing I mounted on white cs, as my macular degeneration is kind of acting up today and I struggled with cutting. I have learned that mounting on white hides uneven cut edges! The images are all pre-colored. I added some Stickles to the sentiment for the shine.
Challenges entered:
Sketch: Mojo-Monday
Autumn/Halloween: Patties creations
Halloween colors/any: Angies digital stamps
Fall colors: Die-cut-divas
Any, with Spellbinder dies: Dies r us
Pumpkin inspiration: Cupcake inspiration
Any: Pammies inky pinkies

Tool bench for a guy
This is the same image I just used on another card - same image but different etting. I often print 2 or 3 digis at a time - then promptly add the extras to my stash. I am going to try to change that and actually make more than one card at a time! The image is from Sparkle n Sprinkle, and the rest is made up of items from my stash. The edges are torn and sponged with chalk.

RubberNecker prize- Roses
I was lucky enough to win several RubberNecker stamps at a recent Die Cuttin' Divas challenge. This is actually a two step stamp, but I need to practice a bit using that technique - no extra time today! I did watercolor these lovely summer roses. The sentiment is a library stamp from 7Gypsies. At least, when we lived in Nebraska, roses certainly meant summer - not so much here in Arizona! Also, when I see them, I am reminded of the old song "Red Roses for a Blue Lady".

DT card for QKR Stampede challenge #295 - Anything Goes
This will go to a special member of our church who is having some health issues. The QKR Stampede digital image is called "At the park"; the sentiment is from their sister company - Eureka stamps. We invite you to participate in our weekly anything goes challenge - you have until Thursday at 6 p.m. to submit up to 3 items. You may win images in either category - QKR / Eureka or "other". I hope to see your creations there.
The image is colored with Prismas. I tore the image and edged it directly from an ink pad for a shabby look - a favorite technique for distressing. The top layer is a freebie digital from TLC, and the coral mat is dry embossed. For more texture I used an acrylic dot for the center of the Prima flowers. Sheer ribbon and a bow complete the card.

Flowers: Sasayaki Glitter
Hand made bow: Craft-Dee Bowz

Gatefold engagement card for grandson
I don't make many cards with multiple folds - but our grandson's engagement is an event worth commemorating with a special card. I used Spellbinder's Labels 4 die to cut the image and to create a window for it. I used my ScorPal to create the folds. My "surprise" includes images of a firefighter and nurse (Dearie Dolls pre-colored) which I cut out and placed on the inner panels. Our grandson is a hot shot firefighter - in Alaska this summer. His fiancee is a travel nurse. Both really enjoy the outdoors - fishing is a high priority - and I had enough of this paper for the front of the card.
The photos do not show this, but the base is double sided cs - I cut the mat and the letters from the side which also forms the back of the card.
I most likely will not make many of these cards - for me, very time consuming! I realize the delicate image does not quite go with the outdoorsy DP - but I wanted to incorporate the heart theme as well as references to the interests of the couple.
CHALLENGES ENTERED:
Trio (3 visible Labels 4; 3 words): Simon Says Stamp Monday
More than one score, with a surprise: Scor-Pal
Gate fold card: Art Impressions
Things that make me happy (family): Cut it Up
Anything but square: Delicious Doodles
Hand made bow: Craft-dee Bowz
Pattern Paper: Crafty Hazelnuts Patterned Paper.
Hero (hot shot firefighter, nurse): Cardz4guyz

Easter Blessings to you
This is my wish that all of you will have a blessed Easter. We rejoice in the news of the Resurrection of Jesus. Our plans are to have Easter breakfast served by the youth of our church and attend the festive services. Hubby is not able to travel, but his pain has eased some what so he should be able to take part in these activities - we are so grateful for these blessings. Our family is scattered, but we have enjoyed many family visits over the past couple of months.
This card (and one similar) is already in the mail. I used the image a couple of years ago, but am happy to use it again. Both the image and sentiment are from QKR Stampede. I embossed the teal background, and added a bow. Brown and green complete the image. The DP strip is DCWV Garden Party.

Best wishes, Iva
I have another card for my sister-in-law. She had hip replacement last week, then developed complications so the recovery will not be as easy as hoped. This is one of her favorite colors. IRL the embossed layer is a pale color, and for the base I used a purple lightly patterned with grey - you may be able to see a bit of that at the left. I used half of an 8.5x11 sheet, printed on the inside, and left the patterned paper for the back of the card as well. I used another of my new Darice embossing folders - Butterfly on Flower. I used the negative of the Elizabeth Craft die cut, and tied a bow with shimmery, sheer pale purple ribbon. The card base is white - not sure why it does not show up at all.

Kraft, black and white
(If this looks too dark, tilt your screen just a bit!)
This is a combination I really like - but for some reason, I struggled with this card.

Swirly pink and white
(The blotchiness is not a part of the original photo.) For the challenge at Love's Rubber stamps we were to use ugly papers. I have a bit of the trellis-like dp showing - actually, it probably is not really ugly, but just looks that way after I have had it in my stash for several years. It was part of a stack (DCWV, I think) that was one of the first I purchased - I am down to one more small scrap of this print! The scrolls are in the frame, and the floral image is by Verve. The frame embossing folder is available at Joan's Gardens. I also used Versafine Tuxedo black ink, and my hard working Vagabond machine - both also available there - http://www.atjoansgardens.com/. The lattice strip is a Cuttlebug die.

Embossed sympathy
Stamps by Verve, Cuttlebug embossing and dies, misc cs and ribbon. The ink is grey and black - I just used a mask to remove most of the ink from the stamp to create a faint bg for the sentiment. I have recently seen a number of cards with a sentiment stamped over the image, and I want to experiment with this look.

Recycled butterflies
I am sure most of you can relate - some cards come together more easily than others - this was one of the easier ones for me. I usually begin with a sketch. Here, I added my newest pattern paper (from a grab bag). I scissor-cut the scallops (part of the pattern), and used the plainer part of the paper for the bottom strip. The middle strip shows embossed Stylized flowers (Cuttlebug). I used some of the washi tape I purchased a few weeks ago as well as metallic cord a friend gave me years ago. The sentiment is Just Rite. The butterflies are recycled card board - one of my favorite things for die cuts - that I hardly ever use LOL! This is from a store brand Raisin Bran box - just the right color! The striped cereal bowl was just right for the smaller butterfly. The tricky part is to find a spot without too much lettering. (My all time favorite would be the boxes containing Marie Callender pies - yummy to eat and nice colorful pictures!) The sentiment is JustRite.
