Birthday bear

I got to ink up and cut out a part of the prize I just won at Die Cuttin Divas - RubberNecker products.  This adorable bear stamp came with matching die.  I colored him with soft chalk pencils.  The DP is from a Stampin Up pad.  The burlap, sentiment and die cut buttons were all in my stash.
I am pretty sure this bear just got out of his winter den and is watching for summer to arrive - he looks like a little cub, at any rate.

RubberNecker prize- Roses

I was lucky enough to win several RubberNecker stamps at a recent Die Cuttin' Divas challenge.  This is actually a two step stamp, but I need to practice a bit using that technique - no extra time today!  I did watercolor these lovely summer roses. The sentiment is a library stamp from 7Gypsies.   At least, when we lived in Nebraska, roses certainly meant summer  - not so much here in Arizona!  Also, when I see them, I am reminded of the old song "Red Roses for a Blue Lady".

Easter Blessings to you

This is my wish that all of you will have a blessed Easter.  We rejoice in the news of the Resurrection of Jesus.  Our plans are to have Easter breakfast served by the youth of our church and attend the festive services.  Hubby is not able to travel, but his pain has eased some what so he should be able to take part in these activities - we are so grateful for these blessings.  Our family is scattered, but we have enjoyed many family visits over the past couple of months.
This card (and one similar) is already in the mail.  I used the image a couple of years ago, but am happy to use it again.  Both the image and sentiment are from QKR Stampede.  I embossed the teal background, and added a bowBrown and green complete the image.  The DP strip is DCWV Garden Party.

Valentine for hubby

After 60 years, it is hard to come up with new ideas!  I chose to use DP with words this time.  These are all papers from a Martha Stewart stack - I got it on clearance a few years ago.  Since I don't make many Valentines, it has lasted a while!  The panel on the left is actually Christmas burlap - but the red works!  I added some shiny gems.

QKR Stampede DT card - Challenge #268, Anything Goes/option - Angel

This angel is called Caroling Angel.  I trimmed her with gold and a bit of copper.  Please join us at the QKR Stampede challenge this week.  The challenges are always Anything Goes, and it is up to you if you wish to choose the option (Angels).  The use of QKR Stampede images is also optional - there is a separate QKR Stampede winner who gets additional images.  You may enter up to 3 times by 3 p.m. Thursday.
Both sentiments are computer generated.  A bit of copper ric rac separates the pieces of DP.
