St. Patrick's Day DT card for QKR Stampede #286 - ATG

Mood board - Sum More Fun (VO Stamps)

It is time for St. Patrick's Day cards - a great choice for entries in the Anything Goes weekly challenge at QKR Stampede.  You may enter as many as 3 times before Thursday afternoon.  There are 2 winners - one for QKR/Eireka images, and one for any product.  We hope you will join us.
I have used Eureka images (a sister company to QKR), some DP from my stash, ribbon, and Washi tape.  The shamrocks are colored with Prisma pencils, and ages. added a bit of watercolor to highlight both images. I used circle dies for the shamrock image.

St. Pat's Day card - for QKR Stampede #233 - Anything Goes

This week the QKR Stampede weekly challenge is again Anything Goes - and no twist this time!  You may enter up to 3 times before 6 pm EST Thursday, March 9.  You might win your choice of QKR Stampede digis.  If you are looking for something cute for St. Patrick's day, check on this Pot of Gold digi. I  used Prismas and a gold metallic pen for coloring.  The sentiment is from Eureka stamps - they can be found on the same site as QKR.  Due to a little mishap I used the pen to add some background dots - maybe it is raining more coins to fill the pot!  The dies are by Spellbinders, and I found a piece of DP in my stash that looked a bit like the Irish theme. The border die was cut from a snippet of dark green cs, and I used a snippet of cord.  One of the challenges I am entering asks for "fantasy".  This is not the usual interpretation, I know - but what is more fantasy than finding a pot of gold!!!

My first Swinging z-fold card

Inside view
I just purchased a die to cut the half scalloped circle for this z-fold card.  I need to work on my photography to showcase this fun fold.  I also need to figure out how to do layering around the circle die cut - for this first time I used double sided paper, and I decorated with die cut birds and strips of washi tape. (You can see the reverse of the DP just behind the sentiment circle - the front of the green dp has glittery leaves and flowers, and the reverse is more subtle with small leaves.)  The sentiment and inside (bird & music) image are from the Our Daily Bread Music Speaks set, and are stamped on pale yellow cs.  The image on the inside is torn in an irregular shape.

Inside and Out

I had this stamp out and decided to use it again - I do not often use the same image right away!  I also do not often do more than put a verse on the inside of cards - thanks to the challenge, I am stretching a bit!  For the inside I used materials from a kit from Kanban (Lovely in Lace).  It did not reproduce well, but the color is a pale teal to match one of the stripes on the front.
Other supplies:  stamps by Unity; Die-Namics grass die; Doodlebug DP. Pizzazz Aplenty cord, shiny Fiskars metallic pens, glitter to give a sparkly look to the grass.
The grass and cs mat are a dark green not black.

Green and cream for Easter

This green and cream spring card has an Easter verse inside - I need to locate an Easter sentiment!  The bg is embossed with the Cuttlebug Victoria EF, and the rest is odds and ends of cs!  The coloring of Beccy;s digital image is with Prismas gel pen and chalk pencils - in varying shades of green.  I added a shimmery bauble, and actually remembered to use my corner rounder punch!  The sketch is tweaked to create an A2 rectangle.

I still have not figured out what the problem is with my uploads - the image looks fine in my computer file, but somehow on the trip to this blog blotches appear - they make the card look silvery in spots.  Sorry...!

Through a window

I used my Nestie rectangle die to cut an opening - added a bit of a yellow frame as well as the image under the opening.  For the bg, I layered the green strip to the white, then ran it through my machine - the EF is by Life Style crafts.  Coloring is with Prismas and a gel pen.  Other supplies include AMuse twine, Washi tape, and a 7Gypsies Library stamp.
(I am having a bit of an internet issue and will be back later with links.)

Thinking of a Friend

This uses an image I have had in my Wish RAK stash for a long time - from SU Blooming with Happiness.  I colored with Spica gel pens; added ribbon and a bit of Washi tape.  The ribbon and DP are also from my stash - at least 2 years old!

Monochromatic Sympathy with vellum

I will take this to our Bible Study this week for members to sign - a member of the class succumbed to cancer  a few days ago.  This will go to his wife and family.  It is 4.5x6.5.
Supplies:  vellum (overlay for butterflies and branches); Cheery Lynn dies, CB Victoria embossing folder, SU Natural Beauty image, Prismas, ribbon; medium and light sage DP; half pearls.  My color choices were dictated by the envelope I had on hand for this size card!  Embossing folders and die cuts are my go to ways to add texture - easy and versatile.

Framed in Green

This card just about set a record.  I made it early this morning, added it to my computer file, and took it to church so it could go with some items we are gifting to a person who has had some hard times - she is moving into a new (to her) apartment in a few days.  Now I see that the green in the frame really does not show on the screen - trust me, it is there!
I  used the Scrollwork Frame (Cuttlebug) sold at Joan's Gardens.  I also bought the leafy branch from Joan - not sure if it is still available.  I used the green ink pad to ink the frame before embossing - the same ink as for stamping the JustRite Fancy Tags.  The image is from A Day for Daisies - colored with Prismas.  I added a jewel - I seldom use them as they are bulky, but this card will not be mailed.

May means fishing!

For hubby especially, May brings thoughts of fishing.  He probably will not actually get the boat in the water until June, but preparations are well under way!
The spring and green are obvious, but the bling does not show well.  The flowers are grass green and covered with glitter (Petaloo).  I also used Twinkling H2O inks (with an aqua brush) so they sparkle IRL.  The image is by Penny Black, and the banner letters are the Cuttlebug Olivia set.  The green mat is dry embossed with the CB bubble folder.  I used twine for the bow and to hang the letters (by Pizzazz Aplenty).

Happy Birthday, daughter

I had not forgotten our daughter's birthday, but the day is sneaking up fast!  Time to get it in the mail.  She will be 54 - I told her some time ago to stop having birthdays but she paid no attention.  I hope she likes this - when she was little green was a favorite color.
Can some one help with the origin of the image?  It has been in my "partly colored" stash for a while - easy to finish the green shutters and pots.  I used Prismas for that part, and sparkly gel pens for the flowers and leaves.  The main green bg is Paper Pizzaz, and none of the other is marked.  The sentiment is part of a JustRite birthday set.  I stamped in black and highlighted with a gold gel pen.  I had not tried that before, and I am happy with the result.  I once again used Nesties to cut it out.  I added a bit of ribbon and some Pizzazz Aplenty tear drop pearls.

Thank you in green

This layout does not look good but I do not know how to fix it.  Ideas, anyone:
This shows the sketch I used.

The green is for: http://digistamps4joy.blogspot.com/

The DP is DCWV.  I used bits from a Fiskar border punch for trim.  Unknown charm and ribbon.
