Hello!
It's a new year! No I am not starting the
year over, though it might be a good idea
since my January did not get off to the
best start. : )
Anyway, today is Chinese New Year and
it is the year of the Rat. It is also referred
to as the Lunar New Year. This is a festival
that celebrates the beginning of a new year
on the Lunar calendar. Mainland China
refers to it as the Spring Festival. It is one
of several Lunar New Year's in Asia.
Chinese New Year is celebrated this year
from January 25th to February 4th.
If you were born in 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960,
1972, 1984, 1996, 2008 and 2020 you were
or will be born in the Year of the Rat. They
are seen as a lucky sign.
"Gong hei fat choy!"
"Happy New Year!"
Wishing you great happiness and prosperity.
