New Goodies for Us

On Friday I went to several
garage sales in a neighboring
neighborhood.
On the chair arm is wire watering
can, on the cushion in the front
is a book-Mennonite in a Little
Black Dress, a wristlet and bag of
magnet tape. Backish row-a sign,
teacup and plate, jumbo dice and
a deck of jumbo playing cards, a
mini muffin tin and a table runner.
The item in the back, standing up
are chick eggs for Easter. They are
so cute and I think each one stands
up!
I have plans for the wire watering
can and the teacup plus plate.

Below is a closer look at my loot.
Check out my sign--GIRL POWER.
This will go in the sewing room.

Look what we got Mr. Gardener
aka Mr.Ken. A Pocket Hose!
Have you seen these? They are
so fun. Ken really likes it because
it is lightweight and less of a hassle
to use when watering the garden or
the new area around our tree in the
front yard.
It is all crinkly when it is empty
and when you spread it out and
then turn it on  it expands to look
like a hose. Ken put a nozzle on his
so he took off the valve piece that
had the on/off knob on it.
Lots of fun now doing the watering.
We still have the other hose too, it is
hanging out right now. I gave K an
extra flower pot to store the new hose
in since it gets so much smaller than
the other.

~~~We are getting ready for a Garage
Sale :) so I will be slightly absent this
week. When I have time I'll post and
peek in to see what everyone is up to.
I have some fun stuff to post about but
it may have to wait.
60 Years of Fun
image: Google
Mr. Potato Head turns 60
this month! His debut
came in 1952 and was
the first toy ever to be
advertised on TV!
FUN FACTS ABOUT MR.
**It cost .98 in '52 to buy
a Potato Head--parts
only cause Mom or Dad
supplied the potato.
**The Mrs. was introduced
in 1953 and they were
married on Valentine's
Day of that year. They
renewed their vows this
year !
**In 1964, Hasbro began
selling Mr. and Mrs. with
hard plastic bodies that
held the pieces in the "tator
tush" compartment and that
is trademarked!
**100 million tator toys have
been sold to date.
** 30 licensed characters
have been created.
**There are 350 parts and
pieces available.
**Mr. got his AARP card in
2002.
Did you have a Potato Head?
A Mrs? I remember having
one as a child. Loved it!!
Now, I have a Valentine one,
an Easter one and a Halloween
one. My kids at school love
to play with them.
Oh, what fun!
