Tinkerbell Party

The reason why I haven't had much time as of late is because I was working on a 1st birthday for my friend's daughter.  1st birthdays are a HUGE deal here in Hawaii,  this one had 250 guests.  I already posted the invitations on THIS post.  Here's the rest of it!

The money box at the reception table.  Took 2 boxes, wrapped them in wrapping paper, hot glued them, and added a pinata to the top for decoration.  Decorated the whole thing with curling ribbon, tulle, and butterflies! (Lol, that's my husband drinking punch in the back!)

The candy buffet: Guests could make their own favors by filling up at the candy buffet!  Made the tent cards with my laser printer and SU! cardstock.

The whole table (minus the cake pops!)

The cake pops came a little later from a 3rd party company.  So cute!

Here's a large vase of mixed candy.  Decorated with a 12" Tink and a flower.  Used Tinkerbell and Friends and Accent Essentials cartridges.

Each candy had a different fairy name.  These Red Vines are mystic wands!  Printed them and punched them out with SU! punches.

Butter mints = magic candy!

M&Ms are rainbow pebbles!

Rainbow Orb lollipops.  I stuck a portion of a cut up fun noodle in a bowl, added shred, and stuck the sticks in so they could be upright.

Bags and seals were left out for the guests to make their own!

The centerpieces.  Mom of the birthday girl found a Tink money bank, so we hot glued some plastic fern to the bottom, used that good old fun noodle to stick all the lollipops and skewers into place.  Used Cricut Accent Essentials for the flower and SU! butterfly punch.

The bounce house (I didn't make this! LOL!)

Her cake!  The catering company provided the cake.  Isn't she so cute surrounded by all the faeries? :)

And the hubs and I were the first to try out the photo booth.  What a great idea for a kid's party!

I had so much fun working on this party (and only 2 months to do it in!).  Taeya is one sweet little girl and her Mom is a really good friend of mine.  To many more!

Entering this into Decorate To Celebrate's anything goes challenge.

Sympathy cards

Glad blogger is back up and running!  I have a few comments deleted so I'm sorry if I never got back to you if you left me a comment.  I usually comment on everyone's blog if they've left a comment but I have no archives of the comments I received in my previous post.  :(  So sorry about that, but if you leave me a comment on this one I will definitely leave you some love on yours. :)

There was some sad news this week.  My husband's dear great grandmother passed away.  I made a bunch of sympathy cards for the family.

My bestie's grandmother gave me some old vintage lace trim and I decided that it would be nice to put on a card.  I used a SU stamp and punches.  I embossed the background with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  The sentiment is from my all time favorite sentiment stamp set from Impression Obsession.  It has 92 word stamps and you can mix and match words for any occasion.  If I didn't have the right sentiment to go on a card, this stamp set saved me!

This one is for Grandpa so I made it blue.  Still a bit feminine, but at least it's not pink!  I  water colored (tried!) an old SU stamp and used Accent Essentials to create a stretched scallop to fit it in.  Some black satin ribbon and the same sentiment completes it.

The first card was entered into the Clear It Out Challenge
The second card was entered into the My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge

'Till next time!
