New DT Member for Ginger Snap Scraps!

Guess what, guys?

Ginger Snap Scraps

You're looking at the newest DT member for Ginger Snap Scraps! :)

About a month ago, I made a purchase in the Ginger Snap Store and was contacted by owner, Cori.  I thought that part of my order was out of stock and she was emailing me to let me know.  I was floored when she told me she saw my blog and wanted to ask me if I would apply for her design team!  What an honor! Of course I said yes and came up with two cards for my application:

This one actually did double duty.  My aunt needed a card for a baby shower she was attending.  The theme was whales and she wanted the baby's name on it too.  I wanted to make something on the Cricut for my application. Whale from Create a Critter, welded in my Gypsy.  Sponged with SU ink.

I made a computer generated sentiment and punched it out with SU punches and adorned it with SU satin ribbon.

I thought it would be amusing to put the baby on the whale's "splash!" The baby is cut from Sugar and Spice cartridge.  I used a cute Peachy Keen face instead of the cut out face.  Colored the pacifier with Copics.  SU pearls act as buttons.  I added Glossy Accents to the splash to make it more durable.

Entering this card into the following challenges:

Die Cuttin' Divas - Anything Goes
Krafy Girls - Get in Shape
Creative Card Crew - On the Beach/Under the Sea
Anything Goes Challenges - Let's Not Be Square
Crafting For All Seasons - Splash Me
Little Scrap Pieces - Use an Animal
The Stamp Man - Anything Goes Celebration

I also wanted to make a Copic card for my application.  I got this great digi by Robyn's Fetish for winning a challenge a couple of months ago and finally used it.  It's called George Washington.  Inked up with Copics.  Cardstock, paper, stamps, emboss powder, ink, and brads are all SU.

Entering this in the following challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
My Mum's Craft Shop - Ice Cream Color Combos (Mint Chip)
Cute Card Thursday - So Distressing
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes

Wheeee!  I'm so honored that Cori asked me to be apart of her design team.  I can't wait for the first project! :)

Welcome to DIANA's (of DL.ART)  1st blogaversary blog hop!  There are 12 stops in this hop, which means 12 awesome projects and lots of BLOG CANDY!  Along the way, you will find four people with a word; these words will give you the clues for the ingredients you will need to complete your project.  Each designer will have a project that will inspire you and also have some clues as to what the ingredients are.

Diana will also have a link up on her blog!  You will have until 11:59 on Jan 6, 2012  to link your project. Once you have linked your project, you will have a chance to win the grand prize giveaway: a
Sweet Tooth Boxes Cricut cartridge!  In order to win the cartridge, you need to leave a message on all posts along the way AND link up to Mr. Blue frogger on her site.  So hop, hop, hop and don't forget to check back in with Diana!

For our projects we had to use 3 colors of Diana's choosing (hmm... I wonder what they are?), and a specific number.  We also had to use a Cricut cut somewhere.  Here's my card that I sent through the mail for my awesome friend, Diana:

The digi is a Tiddlyinks image. :)  I used Tinkerbell and Friends for the butterfly and Sugar and Spice for the background tag for the digi.

Here's the inside!  Love this stamp set by Stampin' Up called Perfect Words!

How about some BLOG CANDY?

My blog candy will get you prepared for Valentine's day!  It includes a Simply Sent card kit (makes 8 cards, just add a stamp!), some Valentine rub ons, 6 Robot girl sweet treat boxes, and 24 heart and butterfly punch outs.
To win, you must be or become a follower of my blog and leave a comment with a way to contact you.  That's it!
You'll have until January 6 to enter.  The winner will be chosen via random number generator.

Now that you've read through my post, became a follower, and left a comment, start HOPPING with these talented ladies!

Scallop from the Sugar & Spice cart, paper and punch by SU!, stamp is an old one from a garage sale.

LOL, didn't realize my card was TILTED when I took the picture!!! Gives the photo character! :D

Going to enter this in the Outlawz orange, black, green + add a leaf challenge!

MPS National Scrapbook Day challenges # 8 - 12

Finally finished all of the MPS challenges, HOORAY!  My craft corner looks really messy, but that's OK, right!? :)  Here they are:

Challenge 8: Summer theme
This cut is from the Sugar & Spice cartridge and it's supposed to be a bib, but it looks like a jar to me!  Fruit always reminds me of summer.  Paper is from Martha Stewart's school stack.

Challenge 9: Glitz, glam, and glitter

What could be more glammy and glitzy than a huge diamond?  Cut from Indie Art and I glittered the "sparkle."

Challenge 10: Pet

This one was doing double duty and was given for Meowmy's Day to one of my friends who has an orange fur baby named Alley Cat.  Alley is the king of everything, including drawers!  Cut from Meow cartridge and "kitty kitty" chipboard piece is from my stash.

Challenge 11: Pink, green, black

This one is also doing double duty and will be given to my bestie's younger sister for her birthday this month.  She loves Hello Kitty (as do I!)  The cut is from Hello Kitty cartridge and the face is from Peachy Keen's Hello Kitty faces stamp set.  LOVE that I don't have to deal with gluing those little noses!

Challenge 12: Kids

This was my first attempt at a word book.  My God son's birthday is this month so I though I'd create him a word book.  It's supposed to say "Tanner" but now I'm noticing that a word book with more than 4 pages should be created on a 12x24 mat.  His name is just too long for 12 inches!  It was created using my Gypsy and welding the letters to the square shapes.  Here are some pages from the book:

Animal cuts from Create a Critter cartridge and bugs are 3D stickers by K&Co.

More K & Co. 3D stickers and journaling stamps are just some I got from a garage sale.

More Create a Critter and K & Co.

Wow!  Those were a lot of projects!  I did take all weekend to finish them all but I'm glad I did!  I'm caught up on birthdays and projects for the rest of the month!  Lol, but I'm sure more projects will pop up... isn't that how it always works?  Till next time, folks!

A Happy Mother's Day and MPS National Scrapbook Day Challenges 1, 2, 3, 5, 7

Happy Mother's Day to everyone!  Including ones with fur babies!

I glued and inked until my knuckle bones were exposed and I still have a lot to do!  Here are my submissions for mypinkstamper.com's National Scrapbook Day challenges.

(((And HOORAY I found my digi camera! It's been lost since Girl Scout camp! Lol!)))

Challenge 1: Something with a cupcake

All stamps, paper, and ribbon by SU!

Challenge 2: Use Kraft card stock

The digi stamp was taken from the Outlawz.  It's the digi stamp that I messed up a few days ago and turned out muddy!  Also, my Smooch Spritz nozzle was broken!  It ended up splashing the entire card!  I figured that it hides my bad coloring well! LOL!  I had to transfer my Smooch Spritz liquid to a mister.  Ugh.

Challenge 3: Breast Cancer

Used pink and brown for a breast cancer theme.  Everything is SU! except for the background paper which is from the Martha Stewart school stack.

Challenge 5: 3-D item
Chocolate bar holder/slider.  Everything is by SU!

Challenge 7: Scrapbook Page

I don't make scrapbook pages.  You can see why!  12 inches is just too much for one sitting for me.  I kept this uber short and simple with just some Cricut cuts from Sugar & Spice and some pink rectangles for photos.  Since I don't do scrapbook pages, I'm going to donate this page to a gal who is collecting scrapbook pages on Stampin Connection to donate to a family who just gave birth to a baby girl that is hydrocephalic.

Need to get back to work! I will post the other projects once I'm through!
