Aloha Friday at Kitty Bee - Fall Colors

Happy Aloha Friday!!!  Our challenge this time at Kitty Bee is Fall Colors.  We are also sponsored this fortnight by Stitchy Bear!

Be sure to stop by the Kitty Bee blog and check out what the rest of the DT have created! Here's my project:

I used this steampunk ship by Stitchy Bear.  I used a craft knife and scissors to cut it out (whew!).  The digi papers are also from Stitchy Bear! They're so cool! Inked the image up with copics, used the sails and ship to keep them Fall Colors. Cardstock and twine are Stampin Up. Also threw on a couple of staples. Taadaa! Fall colored card without being Fall themed!

Can't wait to see what you guys create! Don't forget to see what's what in the Kitty Bee etsy shop!

Devilish Divas Halloween Hop!

Welcome to the Devilish Divas Halloween blog hop!  You should have arrived here from Sher's blog.  If you are just joining the hop and want to start from the beginning, please visit Dena’s blog and begin there so you don’t miss out on any of the SPOOKY projects!
This is a Halloween-themed hop sponsored by Kenny K Downloads.  One lucky winner will win their choice of FIVE digis from the Kenny K Downloads store along with a fun Halloween goodie bag sponsored by our hostess, Dena Jones.  Details on how to enter are at the bottom of this post.  Here is a brief bio on our sponsor:

Digi and rubber stamps from KennyK are a fun and edgy way to add the perfect dose of attitude and style to all your creations!
The creator, the artist, the man:  KennyK is a NYC-born professional illustrator who has brought his funky-but-slick, urban-influenced look to the cardmaking and papercrafts world.  His signature style can be seen throughout his various collection of pinup babes, sweet ‘n sassy girls, cool rockin’ dudes, kid’s stuff, retro characters and more at KennyDownloads.com

Now, on to my project:

This image is called Scarlett West, a part of Kenny K's Steampunk digis. :) Inked her up with Copics. Background paper is by Recollections (Steampunk Botanicals). Since the paper is so intricate (glossy, glittered, embossed, and distressed), I didn't need to do much. Added a couple of cogs (SU retired), a computer generated sentiment, and a couple of staples in the corner.

Glossy accents on her boots, leather corset trim, and goggles. Metal accents were filled in with silver gel pen. Also used gold gel pen for the buttons and gold cording on her jacket.

Tried to get an angle where you could see the gloss. Oh well!

Hope you enjoyed your visit! If you'd like a chance to win our blog hop candy, here's what you need to do:

1) Visit each blog in the hop and leave a comment that includes your email address on each one to be eligible. You must comment no later than midnight EST of Sunday, Oct. 21st.
2) Winner will be emailed no later than Monday morning and must respond within 48 hours or a new winner will be selected.
3) Digi prize package from KennyK is open to anyone, regardless of location. However, the goody bag prize sponsored by the hostess is open to US residents only. If the digi prize winner is not located within the US, a second winner will be chosen for just the goody bag.

I'M ALSO GIVING AWAY MY OWN BLOG CANDY! Tonight I won't be able to hop because I'm having my monthly card club over to make our Thanksgiving projects. I'm giving you a kit to make all your own Thanksgiving projects! All you have to do is 1. Be a follower 2. Leave a comment with a way to contact you. That's it!

Please be sure to hop on over to Donna's blog next to see what she's created using one of Kenny K's awesome digis! Below is the complete lineup in case you get lost along the way. Thanks again and have a fun and safe Halloween!

Steampunk Birthday Card

I've had Lady Victoria by Kenny K in my files for eons now and I've kinda forgotten about her... until one of my friends asked me if I knew what "steampunk" was last week! LOL! It instantly made me want to her color her and put her on a card and think of all things steampunk!

Lots of distressing with my Tim Holtz distressing tool, ink and stamp by SU, gold embossing powder (birthday stamp, polka dots stamped on background), torn lace, staples, brad, and grommet eyelet.  The cajun colored piece also has flocked circles.  And hooray, all of these papers were in my scrap stash!

Inked her up with Copics.  Added Crystal effects to her boots, her goggles, and the "glass piece" on her cane.

Entering this in the following challenges:
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
The Paper Shelter - Anything Goes
Love to Create - Recycled (the lace is torn from dress trim)
Creative Card Crew - Song Inspired (The Doctor's Wife by Clockwork Quartet)
Milk Coffee - Embossing

'Till next time!
