Happy Thanksgiving Leaves

Here's another Fall project!

I cut out some leaves using various Cricut cartridges.  I also crimped them with my crimper.  Cardstock, paper, twine, stamp, and label punch are all Stampin Up. I also distressed everything with Crumb Cake ink.

Peachy Keen Pumpkins

So I know I said a couple of weeks ago that I was determined to post my Fall/Thanksgiving/Autumn projects. LOL that SO did not happen! I don't even think I got through half of them!

There are a couple of challenges going on with Fall themes, so figured I had the time today to do a quick post and enter! :)

These pumpkins were cut using the Simply Charmed cricut cartridge.  I used some Peachy Keen faces to them! The paper is some retired Stampin Up paper. Also used some SU cardstock, twine, chalk (for cheeks) and gel pen.

Gobble 'Til You Wobble

I'm determined to post my Thanksgiving/Fall cards before Thanksgiving rolls around.  Its not going to be like last year! I know I wasn't on track last year... because I made this card last year and never posted it! LOL Here it is now:

I used the Teddy Bear on Parade cartridge.  Used SU cardstock and retired SU paper.  Also tied on some linen thread.  Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Soda Pop Father's Day Card

Still trying to get my Father's Day cards posted before Sunday!  This one was my best seller this year:

The soda can is cut from the Fast Food cartridge.  Added a cute Peachy Keen face.  Paper is from Deja Views Home Collection paper stack.  Added some jute twine I got on Etsy.  All cardstock is Stampin Up. Also added some white ink from my Sakura Gelly Roll pen and some pink chalk to the can's cheeks.

Father's Day Fishing Card

I'm determined to not post my Father's Day cards late (like I did with my Mother's Day cards!) LOL, lets see how I do!  Here's one:

I used the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge to make the cute fishing bear.  Added some chalking and doodle dots to him.  The paper is The Green Stack by DCWV. Just decorated it simply with linen thread and Stampin Up candy dots.

Custom Card Monday - Coca Cola Drinking Panda Bear

Its Monday! Which means its time for another custom card!  I needed to create a card for a friend (from a bunch of us) that featured a Coca Cola drinking panda bear. LOL.  This is what I came up with:

Cut the cutie panda from CAC cartridge.  The Coca Cola is from the Fast Food cartridge.  Added a hand written logo on it so it looked more like Coca Cola. The background paper is some retired (Christmas!) paper from Stampin Up.  Added a small piece of baker's twine for the straw and a black dew drop.

Mother's Day Cards - A little late!

Just realized I only posted one Mother's Day card that I made this year, when I actually made several!

This one was one that I made in my April Paper Pumpkin video.  I showed how you can use the negative space to sponge.  I also added stamps from the SU Sweetie Pie stamp set.  Colored her with SU markers.  Added a flower punch with pearl, and baker's twine.  The sentiment was from the Paper Pumpkin kit.  You can see my video here on YouTube.
Entering this one in the following challenges:
Milk Coffee - Mother's Day
Createalicious - Frame It

This is another one that I made with my April Paper Pumpkin kit.  I just used the tag and put it on a card.  The paper is from the free SAB paper called Sweet Sorbet! Just added some sequins that I got from Calypso's shop!
Entering this in the following challenges:
One Stitch in Time - Keep It Simple

This one was made with scraps.  I already had the hear cut out from my Cricut and embossed from an earlier project.  Paired it with some retired SU paper, card stock, linen thread, and cork flowers (free from SAB).  Added some pearls and skeleton flowers.
Entering this one in the following challenges:
Cute Card Thursday - Handmade Embellishments (the heart)

Custom Card Monday...err...Wednesday!

Busy beginning of the week here at Hawaii Paper Party! A couple of design team posts and a blog hop! Whew! So my Custom Card Monday post has turned into a Custom Card Wednesday post this week! (I feel funny posting twice in the same day. Kind of like I'm not giving posts their full day of being-looked-at potential. LOL, does anyone else feel that way?)

Anywho, here's my card!

Someone asked me to make a card that looked exactly like a painting their Mom had in her living room.  Unfortunately I didn't have a photo of the painting, just the description! It was "a pagoda on an island that can be accessed by a bridge, and cherry blossoms all around." This represented Springtime in Vietnam. She also wanted that sentiment for Chinese New Year and some lanterns. Here's what I came up with!

All cuts are from Pagoda, but added more pink flowers with a SU punch for dimension.  Also sponged the sky and water with some SU inks.

Custom Card Monday! The Chicken Florist

So I'm going to start a new thing here on my blog... I feel like its been a little neglected ever since I opened my Etsy shop and YouTube channel! I have made TONS of cards without posting them to my blog. Shame on me! So, I devised a plan (insert evil laugh).  Every Monday I'm going to post a custom card that I've made for a customer, friend, or family member.  These always are a bit out of the ordinary and deserve a place in cyber space!

Here's my first one:

I had someone who wanted a birthday card for her sister.  She is a tropical flower florist and also a chicken in the Chinese zodiac.  Behold, the chicken florist! :)

Got the chicken from the Country Life cartridge. The tropical flowers are from various Cricut cartridges.  I know I used luau and accent essentials.  I also hand punched some flowers and added pearls.  Love the colors together.  I used Stampin Up's Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry, Rich Razzleberry, and Tangerine Tango. LOVE this color combo!  I also sponged a sky background.

Hope you enjoyed my first installment of Custom Card Mondays!

Cute Card Thursday - Wild Life
Milk Coffee - At least 2 flowers

12 Days of Christmas - Cricut Card

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! Well, not yet, but there are 1 MORE DAY 'till Christmas!!!  I've been a crazy holiday craft machine.  I've been stocking my Etsy shop since October with holiday cards, tags, and other paper products.  Now with 12 days left until Christmas, I thought that I would share the best sellers here on my blog. :) I'll be posting once per day until the 25th!

Happy 12 Days of Christmas!

On the 11th day of Christmas I created this Cricut card!

This cutie penguin was cut from Create a Critter.  Just popped him up on some Basic Grey 25th and Pine paper.  Baker's twine and a punched out sentiment finish it off.

Hope you liked my 11th installment of The 12 Days of Christmas! See you tomorrow!

12 Days of Christmas - Warm Winter Wishes

Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas! Well, not yet, but there is 9 MORE DAYS 'till Christmas!!!

On the fourth day of Christmas I have a Warm Winter Wishes card:

Sometimes I'll get a request for a custom card.  Some of them are really wacky, but this one was really fun to make! This sweet guy wanted to get a Christmas card for his Mom who likes the beach.  This is what I came up with! I used all Stampin Up card stocks.  The paper is from Basic Grey's 25th and Pine stack.  The beach die cut is from Pack Your Bags, the crab is from Create a Critter, and the santa hat is from Pooh and Friends.  Added lots of stickles! I used regular stickles for the lights on the tree and SU glitter gel for the sand.  It gives it a sugary texture!

Dude Skateboarding Card

Its been a while since I've posted a card with a Cricut cut on it.  Dusted off my Dude cartridge and made this one:
Background paper from DCWV Rockstar stack.  Sentiment by Stampin  Up.

Is it just me or is this cartridge so hard to figure out? I still don't know if I layered him right! LOL! He kinda looks like he's wearing a bib to me.

New Challenge at Party Time Tuesdays!

There's a new challenge this week at Party Time Tuesdays!  This time, make a Kid's Christmas Card!

Just a simple Cricut cut on some glittered card stock.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Tiny Wishes stamp set.  Easy peasy!

Update on me: I've been chosen for jury service! It's a very important case and will probably go on for weeks, if not months.  I'll be missing all of Christmas break, but I'm highly interested in the jury and trial process.  I'll come and visit you all when I have a free minute! (Seems like when I get a free minute, it gets taken from me!) Miss you guys!

New DT Member for Ginger Snap Scraps!

Guess what, guys?

Ginger Snap Scraps

You're looking at the newest DT member for Ginger Snap Scraps! :)

About a month ago, I made a purchase in the Ginger Snap Store and was contacted by owner, Cori.  I thought that part of my order was out of stock and she was emailing me to let me know.  I was floored when she told me she saw my blog and wanted to ask me if I would apply for her design team!  What an honor! Of course I said yes and came up with two cards for my application:

This one actually did double duty.  My aunt needed a card for a baby shower she was attending.  The theme was whales and she wanted the baby's name on it too.  I wanted to make something on the Cricut for my application. Whale from Create a Critter, welded in my Gypsy.  Sponged with SU ink.

I made a computer generated sentiment and punched it out with SU punches and adorned it with SU satin ribbon.

I thought it would be amusing to put the baby on the whale's "splash!" The baby is cut from Sugar and Spice cartridge.  I used a cute Peachy Keen face instead of the cut out face.  Colored the pacifier with Copics.  SU pearls act as buttons.  I added Glossy Accents to the splash to make it more durable.

Entering this card into the following challenges:

Die Cuttin' Divas - Anything Goes
Krafy Girls - Get in Shape
Creative Card Crew - On the Beach/Under the Sea
Anything Goes Challenges - Let's Not Be Square
Crafting For All Seasons - Splash Me
Little Scrap Pieces - Use an Animal
The Stamp Man - Anything Goes Celebration

I also wanted to make a Copic card for my application.  I got this great digi by Robyn's Fetish for winning a challenge a couple of months ago and finally used it.  It's called George Washington.  Inked up with Copics.  Cardstock, paper, stamps, emboss powder, ink, and brads are all SU.

Entering this in the following challenges:
One Stitch at a Time - Use a Digi
My Mum's Craft Shop - Ice Cream Color Combos (Mint Chip)
Cute Card Thursday - So Distressing
The Poodles Parlour - Anything Goes

Wheeee!  I'm so honored that Cori asked me to be apart of her design team.  I can't wait for the first project! :)

Guest Designing for Die Cuttin' Divas!

I'm guest designing this week for Die Cuttin' Divas! :) The challenge this week is anything goes.  When was the last time I used my Cricut?!  Lol, I've been on a Copic marker/Spellbinders die kick.  Here's my card:

I used the B is for Boy Cricut Lite cartridge.  Inked up some of the edges to make it look dirty.  Cardstock, paper, stamps, and ink are all SU.  Made this for an uncle who recently lost his job. :(

Yakudoshi Money Box

My friend recently celebrated his Yakudoshi, and I created his money box.  Yakudoshi are regularly celebrated here in Hawaii.  If you'd like to learn more about Yakudoshi and why we celebrate it here in Hawaii, there is a good article written here in The Honolulu Advertiser

He loves dragons and the party was a dragon/lucky theme.  I made sure to put on a lot of good luck characters onto the box.  One for health, happiness, and dreams (I put these on the sides of the box, which I forgot to take pictures of! :( ).

Just covered the box with red wrapping paper.  All cuts are from the Pagoda Cricut cartridge.

Simple dragon. :) 2 layers and a shadow layer.

Put him on some skewers to give him the illusion of flying. :D

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter, my bloggy friends!  Here's the last of my Easter projects! :)

Finally broke my Cricut free from it's hiatus!  Cut the bunny from the Live Simply cartridge.  Paper, cardstock, ribbon by SU.  Stamp by Scrappy Moms.

Entering this into Fantabulous Cricut's egg challenge.  Also Crafty Sentiment's Bunny challenge.  And Craft Your Passion's dots and stripes challenge.

I know there are no jelly beans in this goody bag, but I really wanted to use this cute stamp by Scrappy Moms!!! :)

These Cadbury eggs are a favorite of mine and my bestie.  I bought a big 1 pound bag and put half of it in a cello bag (the other half I ate... muhahahahaha!)  The sentiment is another one by Scrappy Moms.  Really got a good use out of this stamp set!

Entering this goody bag into Kaboodle Doodle's Anything but a rectangle challenge and Cute Card Thursday's candy challenge. Also entering the whole kit and kaboodle into Scrappy Mom's Easter challenge, since I used the stamps on all my projects!

Hope everyone had tons of fun today and eats lots of CANDY!  I know I will!  Love you my crafty friends!
