Saint Patrick's Day Eyes

Top o the mornin to ya! Have I told you lately that I love the color green on my eyes? It is one of "my  colors" from the color wheel and it just makes me happy every time I put it on. This fun little shoot was done by the amazing Miss Sara Marie from Sara Simpson Photography. It was featured on my Instagram Fashion account complete with outfit details. I have been having so much fun sharing my closet with you guys...and can I say that it is a little freeing? I have been one, like a lot of girls, to be down on myself when I look in the mirror. This creative outlet has helped my own what I love and share it. By talking about the pieces that I love from my closet and explaining why they work for me, it has helped me to compliment myself in a round about way. Not to feel conceited (at all) but more so to point out the positive and be happy with me =). I felt the combination of the outfit and the makeup was just perfect for today! Happy Earth Week Rainbow Eye

Here is day two for Earth week. Today is a rainbow. I like how it starts but LOVE how it ends. Have you ever done that? You know, where you start something makeup related that you think will be great....and it just turn out the way you wanted? I didn't want to film it all again so I just added a short video at the end of how I changed a few things. Enjoy....or just cut to the end LOL ; D. Tell me I'm not alone in this?

Happy Earth Day Celebrate With A Pop Of Green!

Happy Earth Day today!!!! This week I am going to be doing looks inspired by nature. Our beautiful world has so many gorgeous colors it's hard to choose what to do first. Today it's beautiful greens with a touch of sunshine. Different ones this week will consist of blues for water and sky, browns for mountains and earth and some flower inspired tutorials. I'm excited to do them all and share =).

Catherine Zeta-Jones Tutorial

Do you remember the first time you remember Catherine Zeta Jones in all of her gorgeous glory? For me it was Zorro and I thought she was so beautiful and such a great actress! I remember the magazine that came out when she wore this look on the red carpet as well. I was tickled that they were spotlighting how to make brown eyes pop and low and behold...I HAD BROWN EYES!!!! I was so eager to try the green all around and when the look was completed I LoVeD it and sported it for a while =). Just recently I got an email from Tanja asking for a Catherine look and I immediately remembered my fav green eye and decided to pull it out and share it with you. Enjoy and sport if for  a while yourself! =)

Quick Looks Green & Pink

 If you'll notice I have one pink and one green eye. The fun never stops here! Hope everyone is having a fabulous March! I wanted to do more looks utilizing the 88 palette because there really are SO many different combinations. The possibilities are ENDLESS!!! =)

I know we are supposed to be doing soft looks (and that the image above looks like I just ate a bug) but I saw this picture of Jennifer Lopez and LoVeD it!!!! Plus I got booked for a fashion show that day and wanted to look a little dramatic =). The show was AwEsOmE btw and you can see pictures on Facebook at my Doll By Jen page.

Olive Green Eye

Sooooooo I have worn this eye for the last three days. I know, but it's not like I'm wearing the same oUtFiT right??? Anyway, it is super natural, light with just a touch of softness because of the smokey technique. The lip liner that I used from Forever21 is only &2.80!!!!! SO worth it and it lasts all day!!! I got this hat from Forever21 as well and it was only $4!!!!! I happen to love that store =). Pictures coming soon for this look.

Here's something for you for good old St. Patty's Day. After I showed it to my friend she was convinced it had to be named your "Get Lucky Look", oh Hollie =). So wear this look on the 17th to avoid getting pinched.....or to GET pinched ; ).

So here we are with one of THE longest tutorials I have EvEr done!!!!! This is a more avant-garde look but still fun and can be done with thousands of other colors. Enjoy!!!!

Codi Has Done It Again!!!!

LoVe this look!!! Look at those purples and minty greens. It looks metallic almost. What do you think???? I LOVE it (think singing voice)!!!!!!

Now I recommend ALL of these colors for you but obviously you are going to pick just 3-4. They are: Bitter, Wedge, Deep Truth, Nehru, Blanc Type, Humid, Parfait Amour, Plum Dressing and Beautiful Iris. Go and see what ones you like and buy buy buy!!!! Tell me which ones you get and I will do a tutorial for you based on those colors. Have SO much fun and don't be afraid to try the deeper colors, they will look GREAT with your brown eyes...TRUST me!!!

Green for Christmas

First of all did I MENTION how much I LOVE this headband?????? It has SO many possibilities and is SO much fun. I created more height in the back of my hair and it worked out fine to with the big flower. Here is another look that will be coming soon. It uses all greens and some white. I am also using a different color for my eyebrows that I like SO much more than Embark from MAC. I'll talk to you about it soon =). I used the new mascara too and I am liking it so far. It curls well and gives good volume. What do you think???? Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

No Video But a Hot Look

So I FINALLY (with the aid of my mother-in-law) found out how to take these close up shots and will now use my OWN eyes for the looks!!!!! I am SO excited. This eye uses Nylon on the inner corner faded into Bitter then Electric Eel and finally Deep Truth on the outer V. To soften the transition from the Nylon to the Bitter I patted a little Chrome Yellow. On the brow bone I used Vanilla. On the bottom lash line I used the darkest to the lightest color starting from the outside going in. Black liner and mascara finished off the look. Try it out ladies!!!!!!

Blue & Green Tutorial

So I am a geek and throughout the tutorial I say that I am going to be using Talent Pool to join these two colors....aaaand never do =). So add the step if you must or just go with what I did. The choice is yours America =). Also I did this tutorial before the contest but just didn't post it so when I say to submit looks.....yeah, just dismiss that =).

Green Orchid Tutorial

Shadow Colors Used:
- Lime Green
- Wine/Plum
- Brown
- Creamy White (brow bone)

I don't care WHO you are or what eye color you have DO THIS TUTORIAL!!!!!!! I want to hear from you on this one because it is SO my fav now!!!!! I have NEVER worn a look two days in a row and this one is going on THREE. I LOOOOOVE IT!!!!!! =) The video just doesn't even do it justice. You don't have to use all MAC products but the color combo really is the key. SO pretty!!!

So the voice over cut me off right before I gave a vital detail to the look. On the brow bone all over is a touch of Vanilla but right at the arch use a couple pats of a white color to give it a pop!!! =) I used White Avalanche by MAC.
