The 12 Days of Christmas Quest: Day Eleven

Hello everyone! It is the eleventh day of Christmas and it is time to continue the quest. Just one more day to go and the quest will be done for another year!!!

If you missed day one click HERE to start from the beginning and read all the details. It is really important that you do so because this year's quest is very different from previous ones and you will need to link up in order to join in. Then, to check out the paper for day two, click HERE and for day three, click HERE. You can find the paper for day four by clicking HERE and the paper for day five by clicking HERE. Head HERE to see the paper for day six and HERE for day seven. You can find the paper for day eight by clicking HERE and the paper for day nine by clicking HERE. Head HERE to see the paper for day ten.

As a quick refresher, each day from December 25th to January 5 (a total of 12 days), you will need to complete a task and link something up. Full details can be found in the Day 1 post linked in the above paragraph. Just scroll down to 'Task' to find out how to participate. Each day that you link up, you'll earn a free digital paper. Remember, this is as easy or as hard as you want to make it. It can be as simply as writing down your thought on a piece of paper or you can spend time getting crafty and come up with something more elaborate. It is all up to you!

I know that this is a crazy busy time of year and hopefully the majority of you are off-line and spending quality time with the people you love the most; so, be rest assured, that you will have plenty of time to complete each task. AS LONG AS all your TASKS are submitted no later than 11: 59 p.m., EST, January 31st, 2023, you will qualify to receive the paper(s) for whichever day(s) you participate.

Here is the paper up for grabs today...

This paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. Credits include: Hippogifts (via Creative Fabrica), GraphicsCandy (via Design Bundles), Designious (via Inky Deals) and Janet Scott (via Digital Scrapbook.com). In the zip folder that will be emailed should you successfully complete the quest, you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

Play along each of the 12 days and you'll earn yourself the full set! So, how about we get started with today's clue!!!

On the eleventh day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number eleven.
It is a very well know fact that, all good designers
and card makers go to heaven!!!

Instructions
Below you will find a linky list for you to add an image of your eleventh item. Remember you are adding a picture of:
  • the item you will be placing in your vessel for today; OR
  • the eleventh page from your journal; OR
  • any other creative endeavour you have decided to embark on for today.

Don't forget that there will be a new link up for each of the 12 days. That way, I will be able to keep track of which days you have earned a paper for. If you can't join in for a particular day, that is okay. As is the same in years past, you will earn a paper for every day you participate. Join in for all 12 days and you'll earn the full set of papers!

If you have some time, please go and visit others who have linked up and take a peek at what they have created. It might be fun and help to inspire you in your own undertaking.

If you have any questions, be sure to ask. I'll be checking in most days so I should be able to get an answer back to you relatively quickly.

May the happiness you experienced during the holidays, last the whole year through! See you all tomorrow for day number twelve, the final day!!!

Cheers!

Link Up Below:
Link up an image of your creation to earn the paper from DAY 11. Please visit others along the way and click 'like' on a project that inspires you! NOTE: Only link up your creation for Day 11 to this particular list. There will be a separate linky list for each of the 12 Days of the Quest.

Please note: If you purchase an item from Creative Fabrica using the link I provide, I may receive a small commission.

You will be able to leave your daily answer in a comment on the post for each respective day. If you follow the instructions for each day, you'll earn a free digital paper.

Since this is a busy time of year for most people, you will have plenty of time to complete the quest. It is completely up to you as to when you submit your answers (daily, all at once at the end, or otherwise). Task:
IF YOU HAD A $25 GIFT CERTIFICATE TO SPEND IN ANY ONE ONLINE DIGI STORE, WHAT WOULD IT BE AND WHY?

If I'd asked this question even four months ago, the answer would have been an immediate: A Day for Daisies. However, since that store is no longer open, I'd have to say that I'd choose...oh damn, this is tough...umm...I have two right at the forefront of my mind but if I can only choose one I'll say: Bugaboo Stamps. I currently have over 30 items on my Bugaboo wishlist so it would be nice to be able to get a few of them stricken off that particular list. Jodie just has so many stinkin' cute stamps that are really versatile as well.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your ONE ONLINE DIGI STORE CHOICE WHERE YOU COULD EASILY SPEND $25 AT in a comment on THIS POST. Now for many of you, especially those who have played in previous years, the odds are that I should have your e-mail address in order to send out the free paper you earn. If you are new to the quest or are not sure whether I might have your email address, please be sure to also leave your email address in your comment. If you would prefer to keep your address private, then check out the bottom paragraph from Day 1 for how to send it to me.

May the happiness you experienced during the holidays, last the whole year through! See you all tomorrow for day number twelve, the final day!!!

Cheers!

On the eighth day of Christmas,
it is time to earn paper number eight.
We've been at it a while now, so you'll have to
let me know how I rate!!!

Task:
Every new year we have the chance to grow, develop our skills and be better than the year before, even when it comes to our crafting. What are some of your CARD MAKING OR OTHER DESIGN GOALS FOR 2020? For ex., trying new techniques, stretching yourself to try new styles or card shapes, joining a new team, doing some of your own design work, etc.

I have two simple goals this year. Ultimately, I would simply like to start making cards again. I'm so busy behind the scenes that I am not getting any actual crafting of my own completed anymore so I definitely need to find some time to get some cards created. I also really want to get some more general types of scrapbooking kits made and added to the store. I've spent a fortune in resources the past few years (well a fortune considering our limited budget) and it is time to start putting some of them to use. I'd also like to find the time to get more of the sets I have already made added to the store since I only have a handful listed. I just need more time...as do we all.

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your CARD MAKING OR OTHER DESIGN GOALS FOR 2020 in a comment on THIS POST.

Hope this first day of the year is the start of a fabulous one! See you all tomorrow for day number nine!!!

Cheers!

Task:
LIST FIVE OF YOUR FAVOURITE DIGI DESIGNERS AND WHY?

For myself, it is difficult to narrow down since there are SOOOOOO MANY designers that I love so it is a good thing I just have to list five and not my top five--I think that would just be too difficult to narrow down. Here are five of my favourite designers in no particular order:
  1. Sandy Sommerfeld of Scribbles Designs
  2. Jodie Mackrell of Bugaboo Stamps
  3. Tammy of A Day for Daisies
  4. Beccy from Beccy's Place
  5. Kristy Breach from Imagine That Digistamp
...but then how can I forget Nikki from Limited Runs or Ike from Ike's Art or.....the list could go on and on! Just too many favourites to choose from!

When you come up with a response for today's task, simply leave your TOP FIVE FAVOURITE CHALLENGE BLOGS LIST ALONG WITH YOUR REASON FOR WHY YOU CHOSE YOUR #1 in a comment on THIS POST. Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #162…Things that Fly

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello there everyone! I'm back here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #162, the theme is Things that Fly. When it comes to your choice of image, you can choose something that can realistically fly like birds, insects, airplanes, air balloons, etc, OR you could also approach it from a different angle choosing something that could theoretically fly like fairies, or other things with wings. That is the approach I have taken for this challenge looking at the fantasy end of things. While a cat doesn't normally fly, with wings it could theoretically. Whatever approach you take, whether realistic or fantastic, we'd love to see what you come up with.

General Project Info:
  • I've decided to make a pet sympathy card. That is definitely one category my card collection is currently missing.
  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). I will print it out and assemble it a later date.

FRONT

Digital Images Details:
  • Kitty Angel can be found in Pattie's Etsy shop. This image was coloured in digitally using digital colouring and digital 'paper' piecing. Credits include:
  • The background in behind the image was created using a cloudy sky texture from Diza-74 via Deviant Art.
  • I also added some clouds for the kitty to sit on. They were obtained in a free sample from Inky Deals.

Digital Embellishment Details:
  • The banner shape in behind the sentiment was created using a template purchased from Marisa Lerin, Pixel Scrapper.

INSIDE

OVERALL
 Digital Sentiment Details:
  • Both the sentiment on the front and the one on the inside were created by Paulette from Create with TLC. For great freebies and inspiration be sure to click HERE to go to Paulette's blog and for awesome sets for purchase, click HERE to go to the home page of the store.

Digital Paper Products:
  • The paper used as a background on the front and inside is a freebie from Sweetly Scrapped.

Digital Embellishment Details:
  • I have used basic shapes in Photoshop Elements to create matting in behind the image and sentiment (inside).
  • I have applied shadow layer styles to give certain elements some depth. These styles were designed by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

Challenges I am hoping to enter...

You have until October 3rd to enter our challenge which should give you lots of time to get a creation done. Remember the theme is Things that Fly. I really hope that you will be able to join us. Freebie Alert: A Special Anniversary Celebration

Today marks another very special day in the Décosse household. Exactly 30 years ago today, I walked down the aisle and met the love of my life at the alter. There, we exchanged vows and pledged to love each other for always. Our life together hasn't always been easy. In fact, it seems that there have been more downs than ups some years. However, through it all, we haven't wavered in our commitment to each other.

Unfortunately, it is the end of tax season up here in Canada and since my hubby is a Tax Professional he is hard at work until around 9:00 p.m. tonight. Thus, we are not going to get to spend too much time together today. Hopefully though, we'll be able to go out and celebrate this coming weekend instead.

So given that I won't be able to spend time with my hubs until later this evening, I spent this afternoon creating a digital paper to share with you all in honour of this special occasion! Of course, now I am behind in six other important things on my 'to do' list but I neglected you all so bad last year, I'm trying hard to make it up this year!

Below is a preview of what the paper looks like…

I thought this symbol of two intertwined hearts was the perfect symbol for a paper honouring our anniversary! This digital paper is 3600 x 3600 pixels, in jpg format and published at 300 dpi. I've used resources from Vectorious (purchased through Inky Deals) and Marisa Lerin (Pixel Scrapper). To grab it, click the download button to be taken to a download location. In the zip folder you will find a copy of the paper, its preview sheet, the full credit information and my terms of use which are standard to all my folders.

That is it for today but I'll be back on Friday with my post for the latest challenge over at Pattie's Creations.

Until that time,
