Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #174…Anything Goes

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello there folks! It is hard to believe that at the end of the summer we are still having so many difficulties with the pandemic. Too many people's lives have been disrupted by this awful virus and far too many people have lost there lives! I hope that each of you is continuing to stay healthy in your own little corner of this world.

I'm popping in today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #174, the theme is Anything Goes. Once again you can upload your projects with any kind of theme.

In the last month I've heard of three deaths. One of my friends lost her brother due to covid-19, another friend lost her mother due to a heart attack and the third was the accidental death of a young boy only 13 years old who happened to be my best friend's nephew. More lives gone too soon. As such, I'm in need of a few sympathy cards.

General Project Info:
  • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). It will be printed out and assembled prior to dissemination.

FRONT

 Digital Image Details:
  • Three Daisies: This trio of daisies was the perfect lead in for my sentiment. This image can be found in Pattie's Etsy shop by clicking on the name.
  • These daisies were digitally coloured in Photoshop just to give them an open silhouette look.

Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The sentiment used on the front was one I created way back in 2013. I offered it up for FREE as part of my 100 Followers Celebration. You can find it HERE along with some other word art freebies.

INSIDE

  Digital Sentiment Details:
  • The sentiment used on the inside was also created back in 2013 for a card but never offered up for free. Maybe one of these days, I'll get around to getting it added to the blog.

OVERALL

Digital Paper Products:
  • The paper used as a base on the front and inside is a FREEBIE offered up during a Wonderful Wednesday event. Click HERE to find it along with some other free digital papers and a word art creation. Please note that this paper was added before I started adding zip folders so you can find the credit info for it at the bottom of the post. Also, if you grab any of the freebies previously mentioned, be sure to click on them to bring them up in the lightbox in their proper size before saving.

Digital Embellishments:
  • The base behind the sentiment and the scalloped circle were created from a template designed by Marisa Lerin, Pixel Scrapper.
  • I have applied shadow layer styles to give certain elements some depth. These styles were designed by Sheila Reid, Pixel Scrapper.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #172…Anything Goes

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello there folks! I hope that each of you is continuing to stay healthy in your own little corner of this world. While some locations are doing okay with the re-opening there are other areas that opened way too quickly and are now suffering a a result with significantly increased cases. There is also speculation that a second wave is hitting but the first hasn't even finished yet in some places. Good luck to us all as we continue to battle this awful virus that has affected over 10 million people and taken over 500,000 from the world way too soon!

I'm popping in today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #172, the theme is Anything Goes. Once again you can upload your projects with any kind of theme. If the image looks familiar, I used it a couple of months ago on a birthday card. I needed to create 10+ thank you cards for hubby who received some money from his siblings for his 70th birthday. I asked hubby to look through some images I had so that he could decide what to use on the cards since they were coming from him after all, and he chose the adorable mice image you'll see below. Now I just have to get them printed and assembled!

General Project Info:

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #170…Anything Goes

http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello there folks! I hope that each of you is doing well in your own little corner of this world. It appears that the curve is starting to flatten in various locations and hopefully soon we'll start down a path to healing and coping until a vaccine can be developed. In my own province we're looking at slowly opening up the economy in phases but always guided by the health experts as to how quickly we can do that.

I'm popping in today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #170, the theme is Anything Goes. Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #162…Things that Fly

      http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello there everyone! I'm back here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #162, the theme is Things that Fly. When it comes to your choice of image, you can choose something that can realistically fly like birds, insects, airplanes, air balloons, etc, OR you could also approach it from a different angle choosing something that could theoretically fly like fairies, or other things with wings. That is the approach I have taken for this challenge looking at the fantasy end of things. While a cat doesn't normally fly, with wings it could theoretically. Whatever approach you take, whether realistic or fantastic, we'd love to see what you come up with.

      General Project Info:
      • I've decided to make a pet sympathy card. That is definitely one category my card collection is currently missing.

Card Design: Pattie's Creations Challenge #159…Weddings

      http://pattiescreationschallenge.blogspot.ca

Hello there everyone! I'm back here today to announce the next challenge over at Pattie's Creations Design Challenge. This time around for Challenge #159, the theme is Weddings. June is a popular month for weddings; so, if you have any wedding cards to create, here is an opportunity to enter our challenge. However, if you don't have a wedding to attend in the near future BUT you know of a wedding anniversary coming up, then you can go that route instead. That is what I have decided. At the end of April, my hubby and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary and I wanted to make him a special card to honour this special occasion in our lives.

      General Project Info:
      • This card has been created 100% digitally and then layered in a Mock Up (courtesy of Frisk Shop). It was printed out already but I never had the chance to take a photo of it.
      • Our wedding colours were peach and ivory so I'm happy I was able to incorporate some peach into my card.

      • Heart Wreath With Bow can be found in Pattie's Etsy shop. This image was coloured in digitally using digital colouring, layer styles and 'paper piecing'. Credits include:
        • I used an actual heart shape to digitally 'paper piece' the hearts. These shapes are courtesy of DesignerCandies
        • I used a layer style on the bow courtesy of HG Designs

      Digital Embellishments:
      • The numbers are courtesy of Danyale Lewis, creator behind Etc. by Danyale. I have changed their colour to suit the purposes of this project.
