Crafter's Cafe challenge - Things with Wings

 

Penguins are a personal favorite.  We have been fortunate enough to have visited several sites in the southern hemisphere with large penguin colonies - they are so fun to watch.  This guy looks pretty proud of his catch!  The pre-colored image is from Dr. Digi.  The current challenge at the Crafter's cafe is things with wings.  We hope you will join us   I used a scrap of patterned paper to represent the sea, and some sheer orange ribbon as well as a narrow ribbon for the bow = both in orange to match the feet and beak.  The sentiment is from an acrylic collection, and I used a metal charm as an anchor.

Challenge #231 - the Crafter's Cafe (Flora and/or Fauna OR Pocket)

I chose this adorable pig for my fauna theme for the current challenge at the Crafter's Cafe.  The image is Hamilton Celebrates from the Creative Bug.  I used the aqua pen to color.  Paper Studio paper, some ribbon, dew drops, and a computer sentiment complete the design.  We hope you will join this challenge during the next two weeks.

For the next two weeks the Crafter's Cafe challenge gives lots of options:   Travel - land, sea or air

It looks like a couple pieces of luggage flew off the rack - maybe not tied on well enough?  I added a map in case it was needed...LOL!

The Crafter's Cafe Challenge #214 - Birds and/or CAS with blue

I used the Cuddly Penguin from Doctor Digi's collection for my bird image.  It is pre-colored - a big help for my failing eyesight.  The sentiment is also from Doctor Digi - in a group called funny sentiments.  The image is die cut with Labels 4 by Spellbinders.  I used striped Washi tape and some paper from my stash as well as a snowflake embossing folder  to complete the card. New - scored card base (a friend got a new box full at a yard sale and gave it to me).  I seldom make 8.5 x 5.5 cards, but this included 100 envelopes so I may as well use them!  I will give this card - and more - to her as a thank you.

No stamping for MMTPT232

I have missed a lot of SplitCoastStampers Teapot Tuesday challenges, but certainly wanted to join last week.  Anita has been supplying cards for her chemo group to use - but Anita herself is not always feeling up to making more cards.  The Teapotters are helping her out by sending an extra card or two - mostly thank you and birthday cards.  I made this one, and will enclose a few others from my RAK stash.  If you would like to know more, here is the link. 
I used this pretty floral image from a "store bought" card I received.  Supplies:  washi tape, Spellbinder Labels die, Cuttlebug sentiment from Olivia set - probably the first CB set I ever bought!
