Our Biden nightmare is over

Ward Clark: HOT TAKES: Video Depicting Trump's Personal History Drives X WILD We're within hours of Donald Trump reassuming the White House and sending befuddled old Joe Biden off into the sunset - or back to Rehoboth Beach, not that Joe will know the difference. Our long national nightmare is drawing to a close, Donald Trump will carry out his historic non-consecutive second term, and we have a brilliant understudy in JD Vance - in fact, the younger generation of the GOP is full of stars, making us feel a little better about the country's future. The occasion prompts one to take a look at President Trump's history - everything that has led us up to this moment. And, on his Truth Social platform (cross-posted to X), a new video from the Trump organization is giving us a good look at that history, and it's drawing accolades from X users - along with a few jabs from people that President Trump would probably (and correctly) describe as losers. ... Biden was one of t...

The missing ISIS illegals in the US

Bizpac Review: Following the New Year’s attacks in New Orleans and Las Vegas, it has been reported that a large number of undocumented immigrants are missing. According to Sen. Jim Banks (R-IN), ISIS-affiliated networks smuggled in dozens of illegal aliens that the government can’t track. During a Sunday interview with CNN, the senator revealed the terrifying information that some believe could result in more terror attacks on United States soil. Watch: “We have got to get down to the reality of the matter that we have had 400 ISIS smuggled people coming into our country that the Department of Homeland Security told us about last summer. And 50 of them, we don’t know where they are. We don’t know who they are or where they are. And we have to take that more seriously. I know President Trump will do that,” he said. He pointed out that the incoming president “eradicated the ISIS caliphate” during his first term, a hopeful indicator for those concerned that President Joe Biden’s negl...

The case for Kash Patel at the FBI

Holman W. Jenkins, Jr.: Nothing is remotely improper or inappropriate about wanting a reformer at the Federal Bureau of Investigation right now. Three days before Donald Trump named Kash Patel, I explained why Democrats themselves should be no less unanimous than Republicans in wanting an overhaul. Mr. Patel is a plausible if not particularly decorous nominee. A former public defender and former national-security specialist in the Obama Justice Department, he later did important work as a House Intelligence Committee staffer exposing the Steele dossier fraud. A few others come to mind (apologies to them if they are horrified by the prospect): Andrew McCarthy, a former prosecutor who handled terrorism and mob cases for the Justice Department; Michael Horowitz, the Obama-appointed inspector general who exposed FBI wrongdoing in the Trump and Hillary Clinton investigations; John Durham, a U.S. attorney who investigated possible Central Intelligence Agency abuses for the Obama admin...

Trump picks Kash Patel for FBI

National Review: President-elect Donald Trump announced Saturday night he has chosen loyalist Kash Patel to be the next FBI director, aiming to replace Christopher Wray before his ten-year term expires in 2027. “Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution.” Patel has called for the firing of top bureau leaders and the prosecution of agents he believes abused their authority during the Biden administration, particularly relating to the treatment of Trump and conservatives. “The agents and lawyers who think they can hide in the shadows while abusing their positions will be put on immediate notice,” Patel wrote in his 2023 book, G overnment Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the...

Cleaning house at the Biden-Harris FBI

DC Daily Journal: ... During the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris administration, the FBI and the entire Department of Justice lost a ton of trust in the eyes of the American public, largely due to their seemingly politically-motivated attacks on both Donald Trump and conservatives. The FBI raided Donald Trump’s house in Mar-a-Lago and has also persecuted everyday conservatives for simply expressing their political positions. This has put a real stain on the FBI and now Donald Trump’s second administration is in the unenviable position of trying to rebuild these institutions and the trust that Americans should have that justice is blind and fair. A part of that will be cleaning house as soon as possible. As President-elect Donald Trump prepares to assume office, speculation is growing about the future of FBI Director Christopher Wray. According to sources familiar with the matter, Wray is bracing for the possibility that Trump may seek to replace him. Wray, who was appointed by Trump in 20...
