Wyoming wacko wants to kill anti-trans people

The Lid: Wyoming Democrat Says She Supports Murdering People Who Oppose Transgenderism ... The Wyoming Freedom Caucus blasted the Democrat’s hateful calls to murder political opponents. “Not even one week after a radical transgender activist slaughtered 6 Christians, including 3 children, a Wyoming Legislator for HD45 shares a disgusting call for further violence,” the Wyoming Freedom Caucus tweeted on Sunday. “The Wyoming Legislature’s House Minority Whip should be ashamed of herself. ...

Liz Cheney out of step with party on certain issues

American Spectator: Liz Cheney made two interesting moves last week. One, she was among the fourteen House Republican who voted to pass the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act that her Wyoming colleagues in the Senate, John Barrasso and Cynthia Lummis, refused to support. Two, she offered publicly to instruct her Democratic constituents in the state of Wyoming how to register to vote in the Republican primary election on August 16, thus allowing them to support her against Harriet Hageman, her Trump-endorsed opponent. For decades Wyoming Democrats have taken advantage of the Wyoming Republican Party’s idiotic policy of allowing cross-over voting in the primaries, thus virtually guaranteeing that the most conservative candidate will be eliminated at the beginning of any electoral proceeding. Winning the Democratic vote in the state has been Cheney’s only hope of being reelected to a fourth term this fall after she succeeded in making her name a household cuss word among Wyoming Republ...

Trump reminds voters of how much better things were before Biden

Newsmax: Americans voting in these midterms just need to assess where they were a few years ago, former President Donald Trump told his Save America rally at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming, on Saturday night. "The contrast between the Trump administration's success and Joe Biden's breathtaking failure could not be more stark," Trump told the rally, which aired live on Newsmax . "Compare how great America was just two years ago. Think of it compared with today. "Two years ago, look, where we were doing things that nobody thought possible. And then three years ago, it was even beyond, and then we got hit with the crap that came out of China, the China virus." Trump returned to the campaign rally tour after a few weeks' hiatus, stumping for Wyoming House GOP primary candidate Harriet Hageman. He celebrated the campaign to oust "RINO" (Republican in name only) Rep. Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., and the new nickname for his extremely loyal ...

Trump endorsed candidate crushes Liz Cheney in straw poll

NY Post: A House candidate endorsed by former President Donald Trump handily defeated Rep. Liz Cheney in a Republican Party straw poll in Wyoming, according to a report. Harriet Hageman, whom Trump endorsed in September to challenge Cheney in the Republican primary, won the straw poll conducted by the Wyoming Republican State Central Committee with 59 votes, the Casper Star-Tribune reported on Saturday. Cheney came in a distant second with six votes. ... Cheney obviously has a difficult reelection battle and it appears to be because of her attacks on Trump and the January 6 events.

States react positively to judges order against Biden's drill ban

Legal Insurrection: Last week, a federal judge in Louisiana  ordered the resumptio n of oil and gas leases for the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska that the Biden administration blocked. U.S. District Judge Terry Doughty’s ruling came in a lawsuit filed in March by Louisiana’s Republican attorney general, Jeff Landry and officials in 12 other states. Doughty’s ruling granting a preliminary injunction to those states said his order applies nationwide. The 13 states said the administration bypassed comment periods and other bureaucratic steps required before such delays can be undertaken. Doughty heard arguments in the case last week in Lafayette. The moratorium was imposed after Democratic President Joe Biden on Jan. 27 signed executive orders to fight climate change. The suit was filed in March. The states opposing the suspension said it was undertaken without the required comment periods and other bureaucratic steps. Doughty’s decision was very harsh on the approach taken by Team B...

Liz Cheney's seat appears more vulnerable

Red States: If Liz Cheney were trying to lose, what would she be doing differently? That’s the question that immediately came to my mind after seeing the slate of big guns she’s got coming to campaign for her in Wyoming. Cheney, the number-three Republican leader in the House, has had a  contentious relationship  with the voting base of her party for a while. That came to a head when she voted to impeach Donald Trump for supposed “incitement” on January 6th. So who is Cheney bringing in? Try not to laugh too hard. If you aren’t up on Republican politics, the above names are three of the most disliked members of the GOP, and that assumes they are even members of the party, which I’m not sure Jeff Flake is anymore. He’s certainly not in spirit, having  endorsed Joe Biden  without even being able to explain why. ... There is more. To the extent that these politicians have an agenda, it appears to be anti-Trump.  That puts them on the opposite side of the vote...

Wyoming Governor responds to Biden's ban on drilling in his state

Epoch Times: Wyoming Gov. Mark Gordon said the executive order that pauses new federal leases on oil and gas drilling is a “direct attack” on his state. “Losing that revenue is devastating to our schools, devastating to our communities, devastating to those small businesses that really depend on the energy sector,” the Republican governor told Fox News on Monday. Last month, President Joe Biden signed an order asking the Department of the Interior to place a “pause” on new oil and gas leasing and offshore waters. The administration will also review existing leasing and permitting practices “related to fossil fuel development.” “This Biden ban really has a devastating effect, not just for Wyoming,” Gordon told Fox News on Monday. “It’s bipartisan in its devastation.” Gordon issued his own executive order days later saying that Biden’s action “will cause immediate and considerable harm to the state of Wyoming, including to the critical services upon which Wyoming residents depen...

Wyoming voters not as willing to forgive Cheney's impeachment vote

NY Times: Wyoming Republicans Censure Liz Cheney for Impeachment Vote The state party voted to censure the No. 3 Republican in the House and demanded her resignation. Republicans in Washington gave her a pass, but she is in trouble in the state she is supposed to represent.  I think she made a mistake in the rush to judgment after the Capitol riots.  The facts just do not support the impeachment vote.  She also ready has people eager to run against her and some are already out polling her.

Impeachment backlash hitting Cheney and others who supported it

Politico: Donald Trump’s political operation has commissioned a poll on Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney’s reelection prospects, part of an effort to punish the most high-profile Republican who supported impeaching the former president earlier this month. The survey paints a bleak picture of Cheney’s political standing as she faces fierce backlash from Trump supporters over her impeachment vote, with House conservatives mounting an effort to oust her from party leadership, the Wyoming Republican Party condemning her, and primary challengers lining up. According to a memo outlining the results, 73 percent of Republican voters and 62 percent of all voters in Wyoming expressed an unfavorable view of the three-term congresswoman. Just 10 percent of Republican primary voters and 13 percent of general election voters said they would vote to reelect her. The survey of 500 likely voters, which was conducted Jan. 25-26 by Trump pollster John McLaughlin, also presents Cheney as profoundly weak in a ...

Wyoming upset with Cheney's vote for impeachment

Wyoming GOP : The wind in Wyoming has been horrendous today—with gusts up to 65 miles per hour. That is nothing compared to the whirlwind created by Representative Cheney’s announcement that she would be voting to impeach President Trump, and her subsequent follow-through of doing just that. There has not been a time during our tenure when we have seen this type of an outcry from our fellow Republicans, with the anger and frustration being palpable in the comments we have received. Our telephone has not stopped ringing, our email is filling up, and our website has seen more traffic than at any previous time. The consensus is clear that those who are reaching out to the Party vehemently disagree with Representative Cheney’s decision and actions. Considering the overwhelming interest in this issue the Wyoming Republican Party leadership felt that it was important to share with Representative Cheney the nature of the comments and outcry we have received. By announcing her decision to...

5,000 wells approved for Wyoming project

Casper Star-Tribune: In a highly anticipated decision, the Bureau of Land Management approved a massive oil and gas project proposed in eastern Wyoming. The federal agency issued a final record of decision on Wednesday, allowing five energy companies to extract federal minerals within the 1.5 million acre project area. The oil and gas companies will now be able to take the next steps in their plan to drill 5,000 wells in Converse County over the next several years. The final environmental review , published in July, allowed for the construction of up to 5,000 wells, 1,500 miles of gas gathering pipelines and hundreds of miles of water pipelines, along with roads, electrical lines and other infrastructure. The federal government manages about 64% of the minerals within the project’s vast area. After receiving public comments and giving Wyoming’s governor the opportunity to conduct a review, the BLM issued its record of decision. It was signed and approved by U.S. Interior Secretar...
