It's time for a new challenge over at

Alphabet challenge 

Letter: E for embossing wet or dry

I went for the dry embossing. I used a flower embossing folder on the green. I used a honey comb embossing folder on the yellow. I used a white get pen to give color to the flowers and diamond drills for the flower centers. I went over the honey combs with Stampin up in just to give it depth. I die cut the Close to my heart bees and colored with SU ink and put the body together. I added them to the card and the SU leaves. I stamped the Simon Says sentiment and used a versa mark pen to give a little color to the center of JUST.. I used SU die and added to the card.

Half human, half coffee Day 4

Hello.. It's Day 4 over at Coffee Lover's Fall / Winter hop

I used pink card stock and stamped the Close to my heart donut and sprinkles as a top border (which I won this awesome stamp set in Oct. from the facebook coffee lovers hop)  I stamped the Tech. Tues. cup and sentiment. I used copics to color the grounding and the coffee /tea cup. I used Ranger ink to stamp the donut. I used a dark brown cause I am loving me some dark chocolate.. I also loved the way the pink showed through from the card stock. My cyber blog sister gave me this awesome washi tape which I love as it looks like watercoloring strokes. I ran it along the bottom part and trimmed it to fit the card. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to the coffee and the donut pink swirl.

Hello and I have a card to share for the challenge going on over at Catch the bug..

It's Saturday so a new challenge. The first challenge of the month is ANYTHING GOES..

I know... I don't make Easter/give Easter cards and I have been making a lot.. I hope to sell them so that is a plus.. I do love the fun colors and darling critters.. So someone will enjoy them for Easter. 

I am using the image called Easter bunny eggs.. I colored the image with copics. I used my cloud template.  I then used My favorite things circle die. I then made a template using a larger circle and placing it on my card and added a stencil on top I used Ranger ink and created the ring around the image cut. I used Close to my heart sentiment and then added the bunny circle to the card. I went over the eggs and bow with Nuvo sparkle pen.

Well I dug out one of my favorites from Stampin Up and used the alligator out of the set.. or is it a crocodile??. I used Stampin up ink and two colors and just kinda rocked and rolled to give color to the alligator.. I was going through some OLD OLD wood mounted stamps and found this cattail grass stamp so I just used the same technique and different SU and Close to my heart inks and stamped them to fill in some of the bare spots. I didn't want to over do so I said "PUT IT AWAY"  which I did.. I then used a Simon says sentiment .. Father's day is just around the corner.. so I am ready.  I added this to a piece of scrap plaid. I also used My favorite things banner dies...

Well last winter or maybe fall.. I watch Jennifer McGuire create a fun fold card. So I created a model just in case I may need a fancy folded card.. Well am I glad I did that or what..  I am using the image called Girl by fence.. I used My favorite things stitch die and cut her out. I then used the model card I made and created this one. Because the image in tall vs. long I had to change it around a little. I really don't know how someone would display this card unless they leaned it against something. I used some scraps for the background. I also took my cloud and ground template and created the background. I colored the image with copics. As I was coloring the fence I realized that there was to be open space between the slats.. Well too late I colored the area so I took a black pen and added some nail heads to the left side.. I saved the day. When you open the card I stamped Close to my heart sentiment. The other area is for someone to say something.  I do like this fold and will use it for mid month reminder and other times. I cant wait to see what fancy fold you come up with.

Today at Colour  Crazy Challenge we have a new challenge.

This is my card using T. shirt soda girl.. I found some cute girly designer paper for the background. I then took a piece of green scrap and using my Simon Says edge die I did the scallop edge. I added some Lawn fawn twine. I added a Pink Fresh heart over the know. I colored the image with Copics and added her to the card front. I won a Close to my heart stamp .. an a lot more.. from a challenge couple months ago.. So I stamped the sentiment and added some Spectrum noir to the heart and then added Glossy accents.  I hope I have inspired you to create and play along at Colour crazy.

This is the fun image called Basketball little dude.. He is so cute. I started with fussy cutting the image out so I knew how much of the card front he would take up. I then found some fun masculine looking designer papers. I colored the little dudes levis with copics  in a blue jean color and using Copic -0 colorless blender I poured some of the liquid on a scrap piece of levi material then I laid it on the little boys pants. When I remove it .. it looks like he has levis on..   cool huh.. I finished coloring the rest of the image with copics. I added some white gel pen to his cheeks. I added him to the card front with foam tape. I used Stampin up stitch circle die and then used Quick Quote chalk ink to distress the edge. I also added this with foam tape. I added some bling dots from Close to my heart.

I am using the fun image called 77 Stork and Elephant... aren't they cute???  I used My favorite things stitch die and cut the image out. I colored the images with copics. I added my cloud template. I then used Tech. Tuesday sentiment and Simon says speech bubble and die cut this out. I added this to Stampin Up designer paper and added some Close to my heart bling.  I thought this cute elephant was so lucky to have a friend like the stork. Can you see the cute little mouse??

This card is for my son Jeffrey who has given us 3 grand children..

This card is petty much the same as I did for my card yesterday but using a different color MME paper.  The stamp set is Sugar Pea designs. I used Stampin up ink for the argyle above and below the sentiment. The bling is from Close to my heart. The die is also SU.  I like the colors and the simplicity but masculine feel.

I sent this card below to my son for Father's day.. He's given me two wonderful grand children.

I had in my mind what I wanted to create but as I went along it changed. I guess until it's adhered down you can make any changes you want.. I started by finding this fun paper my My minds eye.. I then had a strip of the horizontal paper on my desk so I cut it so it was a little narrower (my other son got the other half.. - tomorrow's card) I added it to the stripe paper and then  I added this to a dark gray background piece. On vellum I stamped the sentiment from Sugar Peas design with Staz-on and then using Stampin up ink stamped the argyle above and below.. I used Stampin up stitch die to cut it out.. I didn't like it up against the strip so I turned a scrap piece left over from the stripe card front and die cut the wood grain other side and added this behind the sentiment. It looked better. I added Close to my heart bling.

Hello.. I am excited because today and for the next two months I am a guest designer over at Colour Crazy Challenge 

(it's going to take getting used to adding a U to Color..this side of the pond doesn't add it lol)

This is my card using the image called Two little mice.  I think they are so cute. I remember my daughter had a couple mice in her younger years. I colored the image with copics. I added my cloud template. I then used My favorite things circle die. I embossed the turquoise background and then used My favorite things sentiment and heat embossed it. I added some Close to my heart bling dots.  Yup this card brings a smile.

Hello- keeper of my heart - Bugaboo Free Friday

Can you believe it's almost the end of Apri?? wow. Summer is coming.. I am such a hot weather person so this will be great.

Hello again.. welcome to Bugaboo's Free Friday..

This is the Free Friday called Bug rose can    I circle cut the image before I even thought what to do so before I colored the image I looked through some designer papers. I have so many because I use to buy buy buy papers.. I have an issue with need this  for new paper.. well I have more paper than I can count. I have NOT gone out to buy anymore BUT I do belong to Simon Says kit of the month and there is always a 6x6 selections of awesome papers.. I think this is where the yellow and dotted gray came from?? I love the yellow script is saying hello sunshine.. so I ended up coloring the image with copics and did yellow flowers I used Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the flowers and heart on the can. So then I took the gray piece and Simon Says scallop die and cut the piece and added this to the yellow. I added the circle on foam. I then used SS hello die and sentiment which is embossed. This is so much fun. I completed the card with some Close to my heart dots.

Ok so I know it's after Easter but I just had too make this card. There's always next year right...

This fun stamp set is from Close to my heart.. I stamped the bunnies and then masked off the bunnies feet and then stamped the flowers a couple times across the card. I then took some Ranger ink and sponged in the grass and used Ranger ink and my cloud template for the sky. I colored the bunnies with Copics and used a white gel pen for the buttons on her dress. I used Taylored Expressions fence and added this across bottom of the card. I stamped the Tech. Tues. you're some bunny and Simon Says Happy Easter. I heat embossed this in white.

Ok so I am still laughing about this card. I have a limited amount of bunnies and I used a set a few month back in 2017 and then my March 1st card.. I remembered this Crazy Bird of Tim Holtz and the accessories that I have an knew I needed to use this for my BUNNY card.. I stamped the image and colored with Zig water color markers and used Spectrum Noir sparkle pen on the beak, eyes and inside of the ears. I then heat embossed the Close to my heart sentiment on the My Minds eye designer paper.  Tell me .. is this funny or what...

Well it's almost my birthday (20th) and Thanksgiving.. So following the Thankful theme mid month reminder..

 Creative with Stamps #20 

I have another card to show you...

 

 

I was looking on what I am thankful for.. I am thankful for my children, family, health (sometimes I question it) and life.. So I created this card showing a family.. Life looks like this...

I used my cloud template to create the background then used Lawn Fawn grass hills and some scraps of paper. I used Close to my heart bunnies and fussy cut them out. I took Mama Elephant balloon, birds and flowers and die cut them out. I colored all of the images with copics and the sentiment is two parts.. Life looks like this from Tech. Tuesday and Thankful is from Simon Says.. It was fun creating this scene.. The bunnies I won past spring time from HeARTful stamping blog which Chris is a Close to my Heart demonstrator. .

Wow this is day 7 of the Fall Coffee Lovers blog hop..

It's been fun creating my cards. Few I have loved and few not so much.. Maybe I hadn't had enough coffee that day when I created.. Any how this is another day and another card.

 

 This is my card. I took some dark gray card stock and dry embossed it. I then took some tanish card stock and my Stampin up stamps and dies and cut out the to go coffee cup and lid. I used Ranger inks to give some shading.
I found this awesome scrap dotted card stock so cut it out to fit as the cozy. I used Simon Says sentiment that has nothing to do with coffee but for my card it does. I added some of those left over Simons Says leaves I painted with Mission paints and touched up with Ranger. It needed something more so added the twine and more leaves. I won some gray bling dots from Close to my heart.. Aren't they pretty? and added them to the card.
