Howl are you?

Sunday August 25, 2019

I use this fun little guy from Sweet November. It's a red rubber stamp.. I had this piece of paper where I took a circle stencil and Ranger ink created a background piece and I was just waiting for a time when I could use it.. Well today is the day.. I took a little lighter Ranger green and just skimmed over it so it wasn't so white.  I then stamped the image on the piece. I fussy cut it out and then stamped the head and hand on a piece of white and using copics color it and then fussy cut them out and adhered to the larger piece.  Then I thought ok he's looking down.. So I thought why not put a dog down on the floor so went to my Gerda Steiner dogs (which I love) and chose this fun one so I used Zig markers and then die cut him out. I chose to use Stampin up designer paper and cut a strip for the ground and adhered the images. I chose a sentiment from the same stamp set and used Simon Says speech bubble die and adhered to the card. I added some sequins.

Monday July 22, 2019

Hello and welcome back. I have a card to share from the challenge going on over at Always Fun Challenge #120

Our theme this week is MOOD BOARD

I decided to make a tag .. I wish the colors showed up better on the computer.. I do have a lot of these fun colors and I also did the seashells / ocean.  I started with a white card stock and cut the shape of a tag. I then used Ranger ink and my wave and ground template to create the background. I stamped the My favorite things images and used Zig markers to color them. I then used the dies and added the pieces to the tag. I added a few Nuvo drops for bubbles. I added a bling to her bellybutton and acrylic dot for the top hole area.  The sentiment is from Simon Says.

Monday April 15, 2019

It's mid month reminder at Do-Al(l) Kreatives  #28
Our theme is ZODIAC    what's your zodiac sign?

This is my card. If you read about my April 1st you know I was born in November and Scorpion is my zodiac sign.. but I don't have a scorpion so I went for the Chinese Lunar sign by putting my birthday and year.. Shows it's PIG.. So this is my mid month card using Mama Elephant pig, My favorite things flowers.. I used Zig markers to color the scene. I used MFT circle die and stamped a Sugar pea sentiment.  What a cute little pig..

Monday April 1, 2019

Welcome to another fun challenge at Do-Al(l) Kreatives  #28

Our theme this month is ZODIAC  what's your zodiac sign?

Our sponsor is Simon Says

So November is my birth month and so Scorpio the scorpion is my zodiac sign BUT... I don't have a stamp with this image SO... I went to the Chinese Lunar sign and put in my birthday month and year and they said PIG.. So PIG is my Lunar - sign.. In Chinese culture, pigs are the symbol of wealth. Pigs have a beautiful personality and are blessed with good fortune.  So for my year, month  it's the PIG..  That made me happy because I have some pig images.. I used Sugar Pea pig and sentiment for my card. I stamped the images and colored with Zig markers. I used the My favorite things circle die and then stamped the sentiment on a piece of pink scrap. This card really made me smile as I remember I use to be really good with the hula hoop when I was a lot younger.

Hope your day is out-standing

Sunday March 10, 2019

I really liked the circle background scene I am seeing so I decided to try it some more. I first took some Bristol paper and did the water effect and my clouds with Ranger ink. I used a My favorite things circle die and cut it out. I stamped some Simon says seagulls. I then stamped the Tech. Tuesday flamingos and colored them with Zig markers. I used the dies to cut them out. I dug through my box of leaves and chose these Stampin up leaves. I added the circle and leaves to the card base. I then stamped the TT. sentiment and added this and put foam dots behind the flamingos and added them to the card over the sentiment.  I think I will be doing more backgrounds like this..

I stamped the image then used Zig markers to color the dragonfly. I layered the image. I used My Favorite banner die and added the strips then added some Nuvo drops. Fast fun card to make. hello

 Sunday February 3, 2019

I wanted to make a bright cheerful spring feeling card and work on using my zig markers. So this is what I came up with..
I am using Technique Tuesday flower image. They have awesome stamps. I belong to the stamp of the month. Its always exciting seeing what will come. For this card I stamped on Bristol paper then using zig markers I colored in the image and background.  I used Lil inker stitch die to cut out and added this to a piece of scrap pink. I tied a ribbon around the base and added the hello die from Simon says I cut it out 4 times to give it some bulk.  I like the white highlight behind the gray. I went over the flower and hello with Spectrum noir sparkle pen

Happy Holidays - Creative with Stamps Challenge

Tuesday January 15, 2019

It's mid month reminder time at Creative with Stamps..
The theme is Mittens..
Note: CWS Challenges do not have many "Guidelines", but please read and follow the few we do have to be eligible to win.

This is my reminder card.. If you read about my January 1st. card you know I don't have a mitten stamp and so I drew a mitten and cut it out and traced it on Bristol paper and turned it over to create the other hand. I used Zig markes and painted the mittens. I used Simon Says stamps and embossing powder and created the fun texture to the mittens. I stamped the SS sentiment on We R memory keepers scrap and used Stampin up die. I then added this to a piece of scrap paper. I don't know who the background is by. I then used a copic and colored the twine and added this to the mittens.. I don't know about you but when I was growing up this is the way our mittens were. You would put your mittens on and then your winter coat and even if you took your mittens off they were saved by the cord that connected it to the other one.. I know my mom would add a safety pin inside my coat in the collar area and ran the cord through the pin so the mittens wouldn't be lost if I took my coat off.. The pin held them there even though they would have to go all the way through the coat sleeve.. I guess extra care that they wouldn't be lost.    I don't think they do that now.. but honestly don't know..

Hope your birthday is sow happy - Always Fun challenge

Monday January 14, 2019

It's time for another challenge at Always Fun challenge..
Theme is DOWN ON THE FARM

I belong to Tech. Tuesday stamp of the month club.. They have a few different ones and I am doing the Animal stamps package. So each month I receive a stamp set and corresponding dies. I received this one in early spring 2018.. I now have a chance to use it.  Aren't these pigs cute. There are other items that comes in the stamp set but I only used the pigs and trough.  I started by creating my background by using my cloud template and ground template with Ranger inks. I then die cut the fence by Taylored Expressions out of some scraps. I thought I needed some sun so I used Ranger ink and added color. I then used a scrap of Quick Quotes and Simon says circle and stamped the sentiment on the sun and adhered it. I took Zig markers and water colored the pigs and trough. I did not want to have pink pigs. I really like how the pig colors came out. I added some dots with a black pen to make it look like there was food in the trough.

Happy Holidays - Creative with Stamps Challenge

Tuesday January 1, 2019

Happy New Year.. Hope your year is wonderful, creative and blessed..

Welcome to another year at Creative with Stamps and a new month long challenge..
Our theme is Mittens..

Note: CWS challenges do not have many "guidelines", but please read and follow the few we do have to be eligible to win.

This Double Trouble challenge will run from January 7-20th

We are paring up with Double Trouble for this challenge
Challenge #19 - Let the Troubles Begin
THING 1 Trouble Maker wants you to use an e
mbossed or patterned background and use a stamped or digital image to bring in something "Warm and Cozy" for these long cold January Winter days.
THING 2 Double Dare reminds you when you're feeling sad to simply remember "Your favorite things...whiskers on kittens...warm woolen mittens..." and then you won't feel so bad.
If you have included something to keep you warm in the winter you can link up your project HERE to Creative with Stamps and you will receive an additional chance at the Double Trouble Random Draw.

Well would you believe it.. I do not have any mitten stamps.. I know it's a shame.. So I just drew and cut out a mitten template and traced it on some Bristol paper and turned it over and traced it again to get the other hand.. I then used Zig markers and painted the mittens. I used Simon Says stamps and stamped a band and snowflake looking spots and heat embossed them. I stamped the SS sentiment on a piece of SU paper and used a Stampin up die to cut the frame. I added the scrap strip of SU paper onto another piece of dp by We R memory keepers.. I added the sequins and mittens and using a copic I colored a piece of twine and tied two bows and added them to the mittens.. WaLa.. mitten card..
So if you don't have a mitten stamp.. draw one.

there is no time - Always Fun Challenges #85

Monday November 19, 2018

Hello and welcome back to another challenge at
Our theme for this challenge is THANK YOU

We always need thank you cards and I have this awesome sentiment from Simon Says and thought I have to use this large sentiment. But what to do.. So first I used Ranger inks and My favorite things background stamp and stamped it then spritzed with water because it was to bright. I like that the water muted the colors. I then stamped the sentiment. I had a left over Pretty Pink Posh flower from another project a few months ago so started with that.. I then stamped and colored with Zig markers the MFT flowers/leaves and die cut out and adhered to the card. I finished with some sequins and Spectrum Noir.

Christmas wishes

Wednesday November 14, 2018

Playing in my craft room and saw a box of Christmas stamps so I created this card.
I am still using OLD wooden block red rubber stamps.. This stamp is from The Cottage Stamper.. I stamped and heat embossed the image then colored with my Zig markers. For the blue behind the Santa looking image I used Ranger ink and just water colored it till I got what I liked.. I cut the image down but couldn't find a background paper I liked so I used two strips of washi tape on each side of the card base then I layered the image using foam tape. I added the Simon Says sentiment and used Washi tape and Stampin up punches.

Monday November 12, 2018

Welcome to another fun challenge at
Our theme is PUMPKINS

I love this fun pumpkin by PSX. I stamped this on Bristol paper and colored with Zig markers using water to spread the inks around. I created two of them.. I then used Tech. Tuesday grateful die and cut it out using gold foil card stock and the second card is with navy blue card stock. I layered three to give depth. I then stamped the for you and heat embossed. I layered the image on black and then this awesome designer paper. I hope I have inspired you to create.

I decided not to use designer paper but the same navy blue card stock that the grateful was die cut from. I embossed the for you in silver.

Sending you oceans of love -

Sunday October 7, 2018

I was coloring some mermaids and decided to make a card.. I used a piece of background paper I created myself using glossy paper and Ranger Oxide inks. I smeared the inks all over the glossy paper and then using a towel I wiped off the top layer of inks and this is what was left. I think it looks like water.. I then used some My favorite things fish and grasses and stamped them in Ranger inks. I dried so they wouldn't smear. I then stamped the mermaids and rock on Bristol paper and colored with Zig markers. I added the images to the card base and added the sentiment.

Hello Friend - Always Fun Challenge #76

Monday September 17, 2018

Hello and welcome to another challenge at
Our theme for this week is FALL COLORS

Awhile back ..quite awhile back I created a bunch of background pieces on glossy card stock using Ranger Oxide inks. Smooshing and letting it dry then buffing off the dull to get the glossy back.. Well with the theme being fall colors I decided to use this one. I then took Stampin up inks, stamps and dies and created the leaves. I used My favorite things hello die and cut three layers of white and one of black.. as I was trying to add the black it just wasn't lining up as I wished so I offset it so the white showed.. Got rid of the headache of trying to line them. I then stamped Simon Says friends and using Zig markers colored in the letters. I used Ranger ink to go around the piece to distress the edges. I then layered the leaves and sentiment. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to some of the leaves and hello. I finished with some sequins.  I like this card BUT I am not READY for FALL!!

Welcome to another fun challenge at
Our theme for this week is
 ANIMALS ... ANY ANIMAL

I love this stamp and have used it a lot over the years. I wanted to do a cool water looking background... So I grabbed this OLD wood block stamp from Embossing arts company. I stamped it on Bristol card stock. I then used Zig markers to color and used a paint brush move the color around. I did the same to the background water look. I used another old wood stamp from Rubber seed which is the grass and I used Stampin up ink for the grass color. I also used a SU sentiment. I added some sequins and glossy accents for the water bubbles, lips and eyes.

Last fall I got this stamp set in my monthly mail club from Tech. Tuesday and just now using them. I used all of the birds in the set and colored them with Zig markers. I also used the sentiment from the same set but used a My Favorite Things hello die vs. the stamp in the set. The flowers are from a MFT stamp set. They are also colored with Zig markers. I used Ranger ink for the ground and sky. Aren't these cute happy birds. I love their look.  Hope you play along. Check out the DT over at Craftaholics R Us.
