I dug through my scraps and this is what I ended up doing. I cut the thank you from My Favorite Things out 3 times and then cut it out again in white 2 times and layered them. I added to the card. I added a row of bling. I went over the letters with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush and stamped the Stampin up sentiment. I love how it came out..

Our theme this week is ONE LAYER

For my card I used Simon Says stamps and stamped them on water color papers. I then used some new paints my Son and DIL got me for my birthday in November. They are Shinhan tube paints. It's fun to use them and get the feel of them. I like the colors so far and I need to figure how to do a wc chart.. those kinds that you mix colors to get different blends. I've seen different U-tube videos but to me I need more details on how.. Anyhow I used them to color the whole card. I added some Spectrum Noir sparkle brush to the Thanks letters.

Our theme this week is THANK YOU

 So I was digging through my scraps and found this awesome Quick Quote scrap. So I let it do the work for me.. Love cards like that.. I found this gray scrap also from QQ so using My favorite things THANKS die I cut it out three times and layered them. I then heat embossed in white the Stampin up sentiments. I fussy cut around it and added this with some foam dots. I added the designer paper to a piece of card stock.. I went over the THANKS with Spectrum Noir sparkle brush.

Our theme for this challenge is THANK YOU

 

 

We always need thank you cards and I have this awesome sentiment from Simon Says and thought I have to use this large sentiment. But what to do.. So first I used Ranger inks and My favorite things background stamp and stamped it then spritzed with water because it was to bright. I like that the water muted the colors. I then stamped the sentiment. I had a left over Pretty Pink Posh flower from another project a few months ago so started with that.. I then stamped and colored with Zig markers the MFT flowers/leaves and die cut out and adhered to the card. I finished with some sequins and Spectrum Noir.

This is the color chart to follow..

it's fussy looking but you get the jest of the colors.. sorry I don't know why it's not clear.

Oh my.. these are some of my favorite colors.  I started by finding some awesome designer papers and they pretty much had most of the colors.  I then chose Flower teacup image from Bugaboo.. I colored the image with copics. I used My favorite things circle die. I added the Simon says sentiment on some navy card stock and heat embossed.

This is another Thank you card but this I am giving to someone who can give to someone else. So it's a little different than the other Thank you cards I have been creating.  This technique was again kinda like what Sandy Allnock did.. I used Gina K stamps and sentiment. I then used Kuretake water color inks. I went over the images with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen once it was dry. I like the blue/green/yellows. I think I like my Mission gold water colors vs. Kuetake paints. I think I get the missions to flow better.

5- Thank you cards

Well few weeks ago.. or could of been earlier.. I have been so busy making cards, I lose track of time. But I said I was desperate need of Thank you cards. Well I decided to do the same technique and create 5 cards. I started by using Ranger inks on a block and sprits with water and apply to the water color paper.. I kept adding to each paper till I got the look I liked. I then dried and used Perfect Pearls watered down and flicked over the cards. Dried again then used Paper Trey ink - Thank you and repeated stamping till I got  nice dark lettering. I did same to all of the cards. I then mounted all but one on black card stock. The other one was on a dark gray card stock.. So now I am doing pretty good on my needed thank you cards.. these were so easy and I think pretty. Just a note.. after I got this post ready and the next day as I was looking at them again.. I went on each one and stamped other words.. for the singers I stamped "you rock" for the speaker I stamped "you inspire me" and others "you're awesome"    Looking at just the thank you it didn't look personal enough and these were to friends at our Ladies church retreat.

This is another Thank you card. I used an OLD never before used Paper trey ink stamp. I stared by using my ground template and Ranger ink to create the hills. I then stamped the tree trunk in Stampin up brown. I then used the tree stamp and inked it with two Ranger greens. I cant believe I have never used this stamp because I love this tree. I then used my cloud template and created the sky. I used the same Thank you that I did the other day.. I love the font.. sorry don't know the brand name.

Hello.. I am in desperate need of Thank you cards. So I am going to be posting them over the next few weeks or so.. Not sure cause don't know how many I will end up making.

For this card I used Paper trey ink ginkgo leaves stamped them twice and added some dots. I added the Thank you which I don't know who it's by.. The inks are Ranger. I like this being a fast card and pretty simple.

Welcome back to my blog. Today Bugaboo has a new release.  Check out the design teams fun creations using this image at Catch the bug.

 

 

This image is called Thank you tulips.. I cut the image down and left a little border around it. I used my black copic and colored it so it looks like it's matted.  I then used copics and colored the image. Funny I am not a pink person but I keep using pinkish looking colors. I guess I like this color after all. I added some white Nuvo drops just to add interest but not over take the image.

This image is St. Patrick ewe... You know.. I really don't make St. Patrick cards so I made this a fun thank ewe card. I used My favorite things stitch die and then colored the image with copics. I ran the blue through an embossing folder. I then had some scrap paper and stamped the My pink stamper sentiment and added this and felt it needed another piece of that rich orange so added another strip below and added twine. I finished with some sequins and added some Liquid pearl drops on top.

Well as of today.. I have been retired one year.. I have loved all 365 days of it and looking forward to many many more years..

 

It's time for another challenge at Craftaholics R Us #43 

 and the Green team has chosen 

 THANK YOU as the theme.

 

 

This was fun to create.. I took some dark navy blue card stock 4.25 x 5.5 and using a Paper Trey Ink stamp I stamped the border over the blue paper.. with it being so hard to see using Versa Mark (the other side is really bad. I tried to butt them next to each other) I left a gap and figured I would fix it somehow when I was done.. I then used silver embossing powder from Stampin Up and heat embossed. Well that blue gap didn't look very good so I took my Kuretake White Gold paint and painted the strip between the stamp design. I liked it. I then stamped on Vellum the Thank you from PTI and heat embossed with Black from stampin up.. I added some half pearls and added the completed card from to a white card base. This is really pretty in real life.  I hope I have inspired you to grab a thank you, thanks a bunch, so thankful for you.. I know there are more sentiments that will work.. Just have fun and play along.

I wanted to create a scene with this cute little pirate. "AKV pirate treasure"..

I added sand /water/sky and used copics to create this. I then added some white gel pen for the foam water edge and white caps. I used my cloud template.  I cut the palm trees from a Lawn Fawn die I embossed the trunks. I then colored the AKV pirate with copics and fussy cut him out. I added a Paper Trey Ink sentiment to the flag.  This brought me a big smile as I created this fun scene.

It's time for another month long challenge at

Creative with Stamps #18 

our theme for this month is LEAVES

 With fall right around the corner.. Summer is pretty much over and I must say I love summer but Fall is another season with the changing of the leaves, cooler temps.  If it we could only have spring, summer and fall.. I'd be happy. I am not a winter person.. I guess we'll see how it is this winter with it being my first since retiring.. I know I have sure enjoyed the other seasons.

 

 

 

I had fun creating this card. I used mostly Stampin Up leaves.. I did add the little three leaf teal leaves by Simon Says. I added the sentiment on vellum and heat embossed with antique gold  and did the scallop die for the border all three by Simon Says.. I have a close up below showing it better. I did all of the colors with Ranger inks. I added some Nuvo drops. I used a large dot embossing folder on SU Elegant eggplant. Please stop by the CWS blog and see some inspiration by the DT.

Ok this is the fifth and last card.. I hope my friend is please with the cards.  She has 5 thank you cards that I would be proud to give anyone so hope she is too.

For this card it was the simplest to do.. I used the overall Hero Arts stamp and heat embossed in some sparkle blue embossing powder. I then die cut the YOU from My Favorite Things 5 times and layered it. I used Stampin Up brocade blue ink for the "Thank" and laid it on the you.. This card was done. Fast and easy.  I wish you could see the sparkle this embossing powder gives. It's a very monochromatic card.

Ok so this is the fourth "thank you" card.. I think I am on a roll.... I already have card 5 in my mind.. WooHoo

So I first started with Kuretake Gansi water color on water color paper.  As it was drying I then stamped the My Favorite Things flowers / leaves with Altnew inks. I die cut them out and I die cut the sentiment also from MFT.. I layered it 5 times to give strength and boldness.  I then cut the water color piece down a little and adhered it to a piece of dark blue card base. I then added the flowers and thank you and added some Nuvo drops around the card and Spectrum Noir to the flowers. I really like the background color and makes the blue flowers pop.. I love to water color and playing with colors.

This is my third "THANKS" card.. I started this card by stamping the flowers but I did not like what I created.. SO I closed my craft-room door and walked away.. I was frustrated.. I am sure you have been there a time or two.. Well I made some granola bars and I have an Instant Pot and the night before I made Yogurt and it was at the end of the 8 hours it needed to firm up so I decided to get this finished yogurt jarred up.. I love making my own yogurt and sometimes I like to crumble my granola bar into it.. Oh I also made some Lemon Curd in the Instant Pot... Ok so now that my mind was refreshed I headed back into the craft-room... I cut down the card and got rid of most of the things I did not like.. Still wasn't happy so I then colored the background in blue using Straedtler water color crayons.  Ok it's looking better but still not happy.. So since I needed a "thank you" or "thanks" I looked at the stamps and dies I pulled for these cards.. WELL I saw this "THANKS" die and thought WA-LA.. this is it... and if it didn't work. OK.. cause I didn't like it anyhow.. I then cut fun foam in black and adhered  the colored letters to it. when I started to lay them in the negative spaces.. I fell in love.  I loved the look. This is what it needed. I used Wink of Stella on the flowers. I added Nuvo drops. Oh the flowers / leaves are stamped with Ranger inks. The flowers are the new My Favorite Things July kit of the month..

This is my card using the fun image.. Fairy mushroom.. I love fairy images and always have fun bringing the images to life. I colored the image with Copics and used my cloud template. I added some grass. I found a fun Technique Tuesday sentiment that went perfect. I embossed it on the background paper and then added the colored image to this red piece. It's done. Oh I went over her wings with Spectrum Noir glitter pen and added white gel pen to the mushroom.
